This dictionary is fantastic and I love being able to expand my knowledge by getting the correct definition of what the word's mean!

As a daily dictionary, there are none better. Additionally, the Oxford Dictionary is pretty much THE most reputable.

I'm conflicted. OED has, without question, the absolute worst WotD algorithm out there. It once chose "mass murder." Today's is "Mattins. Variant spelling of matins" (umm.. thanks?). It's so bad that I've actually grown to love it for the amusement it provides! Just don't expect an education.

All the pop ups and ads are very annoying and many more than other apps. Might uninstall and get Collins Dictionary

I already have the PC version, yet I have to pay again for the mobile version, that is rip-off. Suggestions are nothing like the standalone version. Swamped, flooded with ads overwhelming. 😩 Not cool

Totally useless if you are English. I tested with the word 'customise'. No results found. But it could find 'customize'. This is an American word. NOT English. I expected better from Oxford. Uninstalling. M I

I have only had this app a few days. So far I have found too many words missing from it. For example: bariatric, Notum both found to be missing today. Both are listed in Chambers Concise and Collins Dictionary. I don't think Oxford Concise deserves its premier reputation.

I have been using the Merriam Webster app for quite some time now. Downloaded the Oxford app to help with the British pronunciation. I hope you take my comments productively and make this app better. Your app lacks a certain clarity visually. Also, the no ads option is too pricey makes you seem very hungry for money. It doesn't give a very British feel to be honest. You could do better.

I paid for this app. Now asking for code or something. I don't remember getting a code when I bought it outright, not through the trial version. ---- When I wrote the above, I had made a second purchase, through the app. Now they tell me to give them the order info. I don't have any such things for any of the apps I have purchased , including 8 dictionary apps from 4 different publishers (not counting Mobi). COD is now compiled for the educated British people. So not a loss as dictionary.

The app itself works well enough, although the UI is a mess and it's not particularly intuitive. Further, the 30 day trial of the full version is fine, and when you start you're given the information that you can pay to access the offline version and remove ads. This is misleading. One would expect that, after 30 days, you could continue to use the app in an online only, ad-laden version. This is not the case. The app will close itself if you do not pay, and will not allow you to use it.

Disappointing. After paying hefty money for the full version, ads persisted. They kept advertising other apps made by the same developer, or "sister apps" .. still they were ads. When you look up a word after verbalizing in words, you still have to tap on the actual word, which is not very convenient. i It not only doesn't offer anything special for the paid version, but it also lacks the basics. Doesn't use the word you looked up in a sentence or anything. Also narrator working very poorly.

It's good, but some words missing. The definitions are clear and it's a British dictionary, but with the more commonly used Americanisms. I like the built in audio pronunciations. Within the app, the developers will only let you give it 5 stars. If you won't, you can't rate it. This is a rather crude attempt to skew the ratings. Nevertheless, I'm happy overall.
