To help keep track of your progress, the Covenant Eyes app captures periodic screenshots, analyzing them for explicit content. After scanning, images are blurred before being made available to your activity feed in the Victory app. Your privacy is critical, so we make sure your personal information isn't readable. The key to behavior change starts with reflecting on your actual behavior. To help you live porn-free, you can access a low-resolution, safe history of your activity in the Victory app. You can also choose to share a copy of your activity with someone you invite to celebrate in your successes or help you on your journey.
The Covenant Eyes app also provides you optional protection through porn blocking, forced SafeSearch, and customizable domain block and allow lists to help avoid triggering websites and content. For best results, install the Covenant Eyes app on all the devices you use.

Excellent. Though i wish they could distinguish between a true "Incognito" mode, and a screen that has only gone into screen saver mode, or is in the background (as when you answer the phone). I understand it is a bit more complicated than just writing software, but it is the only issue I have. I deal easily with the issue by disabling my screen saver. It is not a major inconvenience. Other than that, I owe covenant eyes my marriage and perhaps my life. I highly recommend the app. Thank you CE

Has been a very helpful app! I'm running into some issues though, because there are some loopholes in the security that allow you to uninstall the app without needing a security pin, and without notifying your partner. If you turn off Covenant Eyes device administration abilities, you can uninstall the app like any other app. A screen pops up that tries to prevent you from turning this feature off, but it often isn't quick enough. This kind of ruins the purpose of the otherwise great app.

While on mobile data it shows notifications from my apps and those news headlines in the Google Search app. But when I click on the notifications or news headlines to open whatever app they're from the data stops completely. On the other hand, when I turn on wifi everything is fine and loads easily, apps included. I uninstalled this to see if CovenantEyes was the problem and it was. I restarted my phone before and after uninstallation. After re-installing and allowing everything it's still slow.

Extremely useful app, works fine and everything, but I've noticed a single problem with it. There are some contents that the AI doesn't identify as explicit content when it certainly is. It's an awesome app bc of all the screenshots it takes, unlike the other apps to abandon porn this one plays with the psychological impact of having someone who will receive a report of your activity. I seriously reccomend it, but it can be bypassed.

This app is great for helping with blocking, filter, content restriction and accountability. But it is seriously flawed. For starters it is a huge drain on battery life, it slows down ALL processes, and slows down my network connections. And with the new screen accountability video streaming apps like hulu can no longer be used. If i can find a better application i will change over. Also i think they over charge.

Latest update to this app frequently opens up accessibility options and then closes it with a pop-up saying it needs to be turned on. Problem is, it is already on! Cuts me out of what I'm in the middle of constantly!! This issue used to happen and was fixed but is back and annoying as ever!!! 03/19 - app still behaves poorly. Drains battery like nothing else and cannot be optimized. The app used 48% of my battery and made my phone warm to the touch.

It no longer provides filterering on android. I pay the same as when it filtered for computer and android. On android devices it only reports AFTER inappropriate material has been viewed. Even if my screen is off and I'm not using it, it still reports that I accessed the internet (for apps working in the background.) Unfriendly interface, overly lengthy explanations on changes and use.

I have been a CE user for years and they have only continued to improve. I've never experienced glitches. If there were some, they weren't serious enough that I recall them now. In the past, CE did slow down speed a bit but it was worth the minor inconvenience. Their customer service and tech support is EXCEPTIONAL!! There are no ads etc etc. This is just the best product all around.

The app works as intended with some issues like not being able to use a VPN. Also, I can confirm that Covenant Eyes does indeed prevent me from listening to my voicemail on Pixel 2 XL. As soon as I uninstalled CE, Voicemail loaded quickly and without issues. For those having trouble with Covenant Eyes popping up all the time or not being able to use your phone, you have to go through all the steps first, once you install this app. It will require you to accept a d or toggle a few things first, then you can use your phone normally without any nagging or annoyances. CE, PLEASE fix the issues that prevents from loading visual voicemail.

UPDATE: I uninstalled it. My battery life has seemingly doubled, and I changed some settings so that my phone uses more resources. CE needs to listen to their customers: instead of playing around with things like forcing safe search and such they should make their product actually be worth something. I wouldn't even like it if it was free at this point. So many errors. I have frequent connection problems with this. I also lose all VPN access. I like to use VPN for blocking ads. It also limits me to using an insecure WiFi connection, rather than connecting to a VPN. This is, over all, a poorly built service. No version of this seems to work well.

Stop. Signing. Me. Out. I use this as accountability, managing logins myself through LastPass, but having reports sent to my wife. I don't remember my password and it blocks copy-pasting or auto fill. Whenever I get random log outs, I literally have to uninstall the app to go find my password and then log back in! I love the app as an edification tool, but it has to work correctly. Update: I haven't had issues as of late, since getting a new phone. Will update if the issue returns.

The app is helpful but there are cheaper options of doing the same thing (if money is an issue). Also app does have problem on my phone that I constantly have to configure or allow app to run and gets in the way a lot. But it does serve a purpose. Although it won't remove temptation of porn and I have still found ways around it. The good thing is that it has helped because if temptation arises and I'm away from home it completely removes the chance to gratify the flesh.

Solid app, may even be the best for what it was made for. It keeps me and my family accountable. I will say that the price keeps going up and has been raised often. Early on, it caused many problems with our devices, IE locking them up and really limiting function. On the limiting of function, there have been times I have wanted to share my screen on my TV and it will not allow it. Lastly, if you do not have an updated device, this app will slow your device to almost unusable.

This app continues to get better and keep up with changes in technology. I've had CE for over 10 years on my devices and it's been crucial to my purity journey, although obviously it can only work as a piece in a greater pattern of growth and redemption as long as you are willing to live under its limits. The few complaints I have are that it occasionally makes my devices slower or lose connectivity as it attempts to reset its software for unknown reasons.

Can't stream any NFL games, or use Xfinity stream because "screen mirroring is not allowed while using this application". If, for any reason, this app can't connect to their servers, it freezes your entire phone down in a very frustrating manner (you can't even open the settings to diagnose). Lastly, I can easily get around the app on desktop. Using AI to analyze screenshots is very clever, I just wish the app was more intuitive and less frustrating in general

It's really beneficial for the fact that it completely blocks the major porn sites... However, there's still lesser ones that it allows you to access AND if the nudity isn't a large video or photo you can get away from the screenshot capture of potential danger or dangerous content so it's not 100% porn-proof but that's where integrity is involved and if you're really looking to change your ways it's a great place to start and continue to hold yourself accountable

As someone who is tech savvy and also dealing with addiction, this works well as long as you have accountability. You have to get the Victory App with this and invite others, which only requires their email, to keep you accountable. It's easily deactivated or uninstalled otherwise. On iOS, it is a little harder due to screen time, but even then, you need someone to create a PIN you could not guess. Other than that, this will keep you away from explicit material.

Just having it in the background has been part of the reason I have not looked at porn/illicit material in the last 2 years (having quit just before downloading). Again it isn't the only reason, but one of many. This program is another step towards following the command given in 1 Thessalonians 4 and controlling oneself. I'm thankful my pastor recommended it. My prayer is that it would help you break free too.

I have used Covenant Eyes for almost five years. It does what I intended it to. Help keep me accountable. Unfortunately, the app keeps connecting and disconnecting to the VPN quickly over and over again. It prevents some websites from loading. Or I can't tell if the payment is just submitted went through. This off-on back and forth disconnects me from the internet for those brief seconds. It happens on both WiFi and data. A bit frustrating. Other than that, it's been helpful.

I love the concept, but it isn't very effective. I am the one who needs the help, and have noticed a lot of slack in the functionality of this app. If it actually took a screenshot every minute, it would be great, but it doesn't. In fact, I have discovered that it doesn't take it at all when I use mobile LTE, even tho it takes screenshots on Wi-Fi. And never offline. You should make it take them all the time despite connectivity, and then upload them to the Ally once the device gets connec5ions.
