This update utterly killed the app... I've used the previous version for months and ordered lunch in a few seconds each time. The new version is entirely unusable and much more cumbersome to use. If you ordered a meal the previous version would ask you if you wanted a drink, but now you have to scroll to the bottom of the long menu to try to add a drink. It is horrible... either roll back to the previous version or you are losing a customer. I'm not dealing with this app every time I want lunch.

This app used to be great. I place an order, and it take me back to a different screen over and over. The "forget password?" link is an error message. I have not been able to use the app for about 2 months, so no curbside delivery is possible. This update essentially made the app unusable, and there seems no hurry to fix it. If they revert back to the previous version, it would be much improved.

The app has improved a lot. However you still can't order the same customized orders through the app that you could in person. For example, what if someone wants plain hash browns instead of hash brown casserole, or wants to replace bacon with sausage. In some parts of the app you can do this -- in other parts, the options aren't available. Also, it would be great if the app remembered me and my preferred location. Otherwise great job and great improvements!

Update - Still clunky. Never can check out. Invalid token time and time again. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Didn't work. 08/2021 - Clunky, needs work. Billing address is a PO Box and app won't let me enter that in payment. Even though I'm not shipping anything and the shipping address is a street by address. Menu is a little all over the place. Specials are hard to differentiate from others. This app has gotten better since I've been using it, but still a few areas that need work.

Absolutely horrible. The app design is atrocious and not customer friendly. Trying to find the meals was a trek in itself that was a total headache. After spending almost an hour trying to locate just 2 meals, it was a success. But wait, that wasn't the hardest part. The hardest part was trying to add those 2 meals to the cart. Finally, I was able to proceed. Then, at the very end, I can't check out. Entered all of my info correctly and would not finalize. Run away from this app, quickly.

Horrible update. Prior version was great! This update apparently did not retain my original profile. Had to create a new one. Then, it wouldn't let me revise my password. Also, two out of three menu choices were not available, but no hint of this until I tried to add them to my basket. Finally gave up and made my own dinner when I got home. Sadly, Cracker Barrel was on my way home. Would've been very convenient otherwise.

I had no trouble with the app, while it's far from intuitive, it worked fine for me, I paid with gpay, and the final screen wanted me to take a screenshot as reciept verification, which honestly seemed ridiculous. However, I didn't have to give an email, or sign up for anything, so that was good. If there was a sign up, this app would've been 3 stars.

The latest version of the app is unusable. Finding your menu item is difficult, then when you try to checkout you get "Uh oh, there's a problem with your order." No explanation of what the problem is so it can be fixed, just a useless error message. Before this it was usable, even if it wasn't the best designed app, but now it's a complete joke. Whoever coded it ripped Cracker Barrel off big time.

Edit 9/19/21: "Fix" just broke it again. Quality Control!!! Thank you for listening! The new app was terrible, difficult to use and extremely buggy, so now, if you uninstall and then reinstall, you will have the old app back. Ordering is a joy again! Update (11/8/20): Yeah, never mind. The app is still buggy, and apparently no one is interested in fixing it. I have to use the app daily, but it is a struggle each time. It's so bad I'm thinking of learning to code just to write my own version.

No point in this app most times as every time you go to do something it opens a new window in the Internet browser and not in the app. On top of that, the app can't even be used in the store to pay or to use the rewards. It's very weirdly designed and should be completely redone to be effective or even useful. I see the app as just an ad for cracker barrel, nothing more.

Tried to order catering for a work event and the location had turned off online ordering. You have to call the store, then text someone, then email the same person for them to eventually send you a link to pay or pay over the phone. A colossal waste of time versus just ordering on the app. The first time I used the app went just fine but every attempt since then has been a headache.

I have used the app maybe once or twice in the past without issue but I have been unable to view individual items for the last month, everything is set for catering large portions. Un/reinstalling didnt help. If I click on anything in the menu (like "individual sides") I get sent to the catering breakfast menu, where I'm only able to order family sized meals $80+. I have the flu and just wanted to order 1 chicken & dumplin meal 🥲

I have been trying to order a delivery order (trying to use a 75 pegreward ) for an hour and a half now. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app 3 times each now. I have also cleared the cache/storage 3 times each as well. Upon trying to place my order for the 6th time after trying all of the previous for one final time right before, it still doesn't work and I can't even get to my cart at all. The issue was not allowing me to use my reward among other issues. No business from me. [yes-updated vers

The app is great. Definitely user friendly and the ease of ordering is there. My only gripe is I'd like a little more versatility or options for entrées. Being able to add an extra piece of an entrée à la carte, for example. Other than that, great app for ordering on the go!

Clunky and dumb. The app drops your items from the cart randomly, but then when you close the app in frustration (and order from somewhere else) the items will magically be in your cart a month later (when you foolishly decide to try this app again). If you want to use your rewards it takes you out of the app to your phone's web browser to sign in. And the pièce de résistance is that unlike every other restaurant app I've used it will not use your saved Google Pay form of payment. SO MUCH FUN!

It's an interactive online restaurant app that allows you to play a game to gain extra points towards your membership. Those points are reward points towards Cracker Barrel purchases. The app also has a menu to view and order from along with a feature to pay for your purchases through the app. The app really does all it's suppose to do and is a convenience for my family's needs.

Not crazy about the app. It is convenient and easy to use but is lacking some key items. There is no where to put down special instructions for food and there are some things missing from the menu or special items you want a certain way and unable to do. Also I wish there was the option to pay when you pick up. Not everyone hasa credit card.

Really bad. This app is not self-contained. When you scan your receipt, it takes you to a website where you have to sign in again, and sometimes there are glitches where the payment doesn't go through properly. I have to check my credit card to make sure I am not double charged. I only scan to receive the points. It's hardly worth it. Fix this, please.. and make this entirely self-contained when we pay by scanning the receipt.

Overall, it's a nice, functional app. But, if you have a gift card, which we often do, you can't use it on the app taking away all convenience. So, we use the app for the menu and we have to call in our order, and whoever is on the other end of line can't hear us because of all the noise of being in a cracker barrel. Adding a gift card option for payment would make a huge difference for us as customers and for the store employees.

Better than it was (some menu items used to not be available to order in the app for some reason) but still a lot of room for improvement. Navigation and selection still need a lot of work. For instance if you hit add to order, sometimes nothing happens. And if you hit the button again because nothing happened, it adds multiple items to the cart. But still better than it was.
