Love the content, but, constantly crashes or stops playing audio if not the actively open app (Pixel 8 Pro). For example, if I am listening to Ben via audio only and I open Chrome to do some browsing the audio stops playing after ~45 seconds and won't play again until I bring the Daily Wire app up as the actively used app. Never had this problem on my work iPhone or Pixel 5. Also if I lose internet connection, the stream stops playing until Internet is restored. Very annoying.

Update: Again, Frustrated. I really like the content. Subscriber for 5 years. April 2024 update got USB connection working in my truck for about a month, now it only works if you start another media app first then it works until interrupted. I use the USB for GPS maps, so if this feature doesn't work I will not renew the subscription. Considering the loss of use (5-7months) I should get half my money back. As a positive it appears it now keeps track of where you left off in an episode.

I love the content from the daily wire! So much so that I endure the numerous glitches that come with the app. From the app restarting mid podcast to not holding my spot when the app force closes (or regularly closes). This has definitely been one of the worst app experiences I've had. I have not frustration with the app, though, just because Judged is, infact, better than Judge Judy and the news content actually covers the news. Please fix these problems! Y'all have so much potential!

I am going to delete this app and allow my subscription to expire. I cannot use this app without having to constantly restart it. The support is non-existent except for the standard "we are working on this" It's been 6 months. Even after a remove/reinstall of the app I still have the issue with cutting off until I reopen the app. I use the app exclusively on my phone while at work. Stopping continually to restart the audio is not a great way to get stuff done. I love the content. I hate the app.

Content is excellent as expected. The functionality of the app is moderate. The audio and video will inadvertently play when I connect or disconnect my pixel earbuds. The app must be focused (can't run in the background) or whatever content is playing will stop relatively quickly after switching to another app. This is not always true with streaming video to a Chromecast plugged into my TV. As I have been using the app for more than a year now I have noticed many annoying bugs have disappeared.

It's been almost 2 years since I've become a paid member of DailyWire+. The app is practically unusable if you're wanting to listen to news and podcasts, and this has been a problem for many months now. I still experience random pauses to the audio, and the app itself inevitably crashes in the middle of an episode. Extremely frustrating to see an otherwise excellent platform be ruined by poor mobile app development. I chose to cancel my annual membership, mostly because these issues remain.

Good content, app is mixed bag. Some things are super easy to find, like the main podcasts, others are fairly difficult to find, even if you know what you're looking for, like What We Saw. The app really guzzles my battery. Used to be that listening to an hour-long podcast (With the screen off) took maybe 12 or 15 percent of my battery. Now it takes upwards of 20%. The DW black square in my notifications bar doesn't go away unless I force stop the app. Also I no longer get news notifications.🤷

I have an older less-capable android phone, so that could be why I experience skipping sound tracks and glitchy videos... This is also (most likely) why the buffering doesn't seem to work very well, shutting off or pausing if the screen is turned off while listening. Side-note: if paying for their memebership, understand that there will still be pop-ups and advertisments, just in a more limited quantity.

Not easy to navigate. Does not maintain where you are at so that you can return. Not easily searched. No place to get help. No place to give feedback; except apparently here. There is not enough time to read an extended comment before it automatically closes on you; often multiple times. It is a rude aspect of the app. Interaction with the content is very limited, and that is sad. On the right and bright side of things the content is usually very good. But I digress; the content is not the app.

Daily wire have some of the best content out there right now. However the app is missing content, or is hard to use. Dragons monsters and men are not on the app. There are a few other shows missing. And things go up and go away from time to time with no reason. The app will quit playing audio after a while but only for me when I leave the app to send a text or open another app. It won't be right away either it will turn off in about 5 minutes of opening something else.

To be clear, I'm a huge fan of the Daily Wire and all the folks there. I love everything you all put out. You're a beacon of free speech and conservatism. Having said that, the 𝘢𝘱𝘱 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 is borderline unusable. It is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Constantly stops working, especially when playing in the background. Clicks don't respond. Loading times are retardedly long. Video player, obviously the most important feature, is worse than reddit's (which is saying something).

Thank you for adding the video speed change options. Audio will stop on podcast audio without video when changing to other apps. Doesn't play in background correctly. Videos do play in background correctly. When audio is being played on podcasts and Bluetooth connection for headset is disconnected, audio begins play on the phone speakers.

Wish I could give a better review as I LOVE daily wire content but the app is terrible. It's very hard to find the content I'm looking for. Even the search doesn't find things that I know are there. Videos and audio stop randomly and if you don't finish an episode many times it doesn't save your spot. I would also love an android car ability as it's very hard to listen to the app in the car and I've had to use podcast apps. I'm paying a ton for this content and right now it's not worth it

The app continues to stay open in the background, even after closing. I cannot access member block content in app even with my Daily wire plus subscription, and there is no way to report this issue in app. While the content is great, the user interface is unideal. Feedback I'd like the developers to consider is providing app users to reduce video quality so we may still view content while driving with less buffering, rather than automatically running videos on the highest quality.

App constantly crashes, or interrupts playback for no apparent reason. This is a problem regardless of Android version I've used across at least 3 phones. Additionally, why is there no TV version of this app when there are several programs that are best suited for TV consumption? There is a casting feature but it's just not more convenient then having a TV version of the app.

Lastest update has improved performance & the UI experience! I'd like to see the UI further improved to be more "car friendly". It's difficult to safely drive and navigate the daily wire app, when a video ends & I want to transition to another one, I have to wait to pull over or be stopped at a red light because all the content is setup like tiny bullet points. Also if you leave the app, it's 50/50 shot you'll be where you left off in the episode. Thanks DW for always striving to improve!

App does not work well. I like the way the app looks. Visually it is set up well. The many issues begin with the interface. The app crashes randomly while playing podcasts. It will freeze, not remember your spot you left off, starts and stops randomly. It also frequently stays in my status bar even if I back out of the app. The audio will stop and freeze unless I open my phone. It will randomly stop when locked. The programming needs severe work. And don't apologize on here DW, just get it fixed

Many updates later and the app still sucks. Same issue. No resolution. I want to be able to listen to audio streams without Android timing the app out. Considering all the professionally made Android audio apps, I suspect it is possible! Fix app stability please! I try to listen to audio podcasts. The app closes every 10 to 20 minutes. I'm guessing this is Android freeing up resources because the app is not set up to stay resident like a podcast or music app is. It's VERY IRRITATING.

UPDATE: Works with new update now. Unfortunately the app keeps getting worse. During podcasts it will stop playing randomly. It also will close the app entirely, both listening on the phone and through Bluetooth headphones. Now, every time I open the app to read an article or listen to a podcast, it's asking me to sign in again. Since I use the app daily, it's extremely annoying. I've tried clearing my cache and making sure the app is updated, but nothing's fixed.

This app is, in Ben's words, horsebleep. First and foremost, it can't stream audio very well at all. It has no downloaded ability and buffers poorly. If crashes hard all the time & does not remember where it was. It does not interact with Bluetooth well at all. It will randomly start playing when you turn earbuds off, or in the middle of the night. It is obvious that the technical team that built this app lacks basic coding & testing skills. It won't help to restart your phone or reinstall.
