■ Story

The story takes place at a privileged government-sponsored academy known as Hope's Peak, where highschoolers of the highest caliber in various fields receive an elite education.

The exceedingly ordinary protagonist, Makoto Naegi, is accepted into this academy which holds the "hope" of the nation's future..

He was chosen by lottery from all the other ordinary students to attend the academy as the "Ultimate Lucky Student"...

On the day of the entrance ceremony, Makoto loses consciousness in front of the entrance hall and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy, which has been completely closed off from the outside world. He suddenly loses consciousness and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy.
The dreary mood is far from the impression given by the name "Hope's Peak Academy." The dingy corridors, iron-barred windows, and prison-like atmosphere... Something is wrong.

In the entrance hall, a stuffed bear that claims to be the headmaster tells the students they will live in the confines of the school until the day they die, and they must kill someone if they want to leave.

Including Makoto, there are 15 Ultimate Students from all over the world trapped in this academy of despair.
One thing after another crushes their hope. Incidents which shake their trust, the sadistic headmaster, and the mystery of the mastermind. Who is behind it all, and what do they want?

The battle with an unseen enemy begins...

I tried it. My phone has a snapdragon 845 and the screen is only 1080p, yet panning was jerky. This game should run smoothly. I don't know if the original was this jerky or not but for the moment I uninstalled it and got a refund. I might reinstall it again after checking if the original was as jerky. Otherwise I'll just use steam link to play it on mobile.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME!! it's great to play when you're stressed with school or the world and you need a break. You get to solve mysteries by using evidence you found in the form of "truth" bullets. The dialogue it hilarious too and it's hard to to get attached to these characters quickly. All in all it's an amazing game and it's my favorite to play rn.

This is my first time buying a game here and I'm glad it's danganronpa in mobile version! I'm using Samsung A9 and it works well. Sometimes the movements are a bit laggy, but I don't mind considering the game IS quite big. The biggest complain I have is the Bullet Time minigame. I want to play this in mean, but I ended up playing in kind mode to face BTB. The rhythm r super weird and the controls r just as confusing. What's amazing is my phone doesn't overheat, considering how big this game is

I love this game, I'm a really big fan. But please help. After the "spike chunsoft" screen it goes black and doesn't load. I've got up to trial 4 and it's taken me ages please fix this bug i don't wanna redo the whole game again. Edit: i literally had to uninstall it and it's not working. please fix this.

I'm loving the game, I've always wanted to play Danganrompa and I'm happy it's now available for mobile devices. However, I did find a bug which isn't very pleasing. Whenever I find a body, the scene that should play together with the dramatic song just freezes. After five seconds the game will come back, but I'll have missed the thrilling experience of finding the body.

This is an absolutely good game. Considering it's ported triple AAA game for console it's no surprise. However I have some issues getting into the game. Sometimes, the screen will go black, and stays black (until I close and turn the app back. Even so this will not immediately solve the black screen because occasionally the same thing will happen. It needs to take a couple of tries, sometimes) after the "SPIKE CHUNSOFT" opening.

This is an amazing game and equally amazing port! However, it does have some minor bugs and issues here and there, for example, the voice lines sometimes glitch out, or the loading of a room looks weird. The thing that bothered me most, however, is the audio delay during the cutscenes. This might be due to my headphones, so I don't wanna necessarily blame Spike Chunsoft, but it is very obnoxious. Otherwise, I had a blast finally getting to play this game myself, instead of just watching others.

Game runs really well, graphics are nice to look at but the only problem is that the game isn't optimized to run full screen on a large phone yet. All cutscenes have black bars besides the title screen, walking around and investigating. Overall love having the game on mobile but it isn't ready and optimized enough to be on bigger phones.

On first startup of the game, I couldn't get it to launch. Had to restart my phone and then it worked. Also, when my phone got sorta hot from playing for a while, hit detection seemed to get a bit wonky during investigations. Otherwise, the game is an absolutely fantastic port with few flaws! Love it.

Needs a bit more optimization, framerate constantly dips in a lot of areas and at very inconvenient times, making things like the BTB and court scenes a frustrating laggy delayed input mess of slideshow. For refrence I'm using a $1,000 flagship phone that is a little over a year old, and when several characters and objects are on screen the framerate often dips into what feels like single digits.

Good overall. I only have 2 complaints. The controls on the btb are awful, they aren't well done. Next is the controls on destroying white noise, the slide your finger thing works like have the time and sometimes you'll just accidentally shoot a bullet. I hope this Is fixed in the sdr2 port. Other then that this is a faithful port and goodjob overall.

Unoptimized and laggy. I was enjoying the story, but I really couldn't enjoy it very much when the dialogues and investigations frame lag every single second. That was fine though. I could handle that. But then the first Bullet Time Battle came. That was the worst rhythm minigame I've ever played in my life. I couldn't tap to the beat due to the lag AND the instructions were extremely unclear. Tapping to select the dialogue boxes proved to be incredibly difficult and unbearable.

Best port I've ever seen, and the most content-rich mobile game I've played. Controls work wonderfully, nothing's awkward, autosave works, swapping text or voice languages is easy. I knew nothing going in, but Danganronpa more than holds its own as an utsuge. Pacing, feeling, characters, allegory, are all done well. Music score and trial mechanics are great. You'll get 20-30 hours out of the main story. Completion unlocks a bonus mode. I get too distracted to play VNs on PC, this was 10/10

I personally love the game. I see that others have been having bugs bit so far I have not, I've only done one trial so far but its a great game! A bonus, I got the game when it was $5.99 for an anniversary. Great quality for a phone game, and fun to figure out who the killer is, wish I didn't watch the anime first though, now I know who killed who. Besides that, great graphics, the controls are pretty good, and amazing gameplay. Glad they made it mobile. And I will be getting Dr2 when Im done.

My first Danganronpa game and I love it! The game is very stylistic and the characters feel fleshed out and real. However, the phone port does have issues. I've had a bug where sometimes the room doesn't fully load in extra assets. Resetting the game so far solves everything except one glitch where if there's a 100%, everything after "100" is deleted. If the message is spoken you can hear it but it's kind of weird. It doesn't happen too much though and I don't feel like I've lost value bc of it.

For anyone unfamiliar with the series, I can't recommend it enough. This is the first game and should take about 20-30 hours to clear. Also has a really fun postgame mode. Haven't had any issues with the controls, though I haven't gotten to the class trials yet. I like the inclusion of English, Japanese, and Chinese text as well as the English and Japanese voices. Autosave is also a neat new feature (though I still save out of habit). Also looking forward to the new gallery features.

It's a great game! I was really happy when I saw I could get it on my phone! The game play and art style is great! However I had a problem that some parts of the scenery I couldn't see. They were only things I could interact with for example the trash can, monitors, and cameras. Also, Sometimes the props of the scene didn't fully come. For example a table would be sitting on an angle or the clothes hanging were seen in the black area off the actual scene

Excellent game. I haven't had any of the major issues that others are describing. There are a few small issues - minor points against the port, not the game itself. The % symbol see to break the dialogue box - whenever it would appear, it simply shows the number and nothing after it. It also seems to become less responsive over long sessions - restarting the app is enough to solve this. In addition, tapping too quickly to examine something can re-examine it once the first is done.

Thank you for the mobile release of the game! I'm looking forward to the next two installments! A word of advice for those who can't get past the Spike Chunsoft logo... I had that issue too. However, I noticed that the file size of the game on my phone was about 130MB instead of 3GB. I uninstalled the game, connected to a stronger wifi source, and redownloaded it. This time it downloaded the whole 3GB and the game worked. It may not work for everyone, but give it a try. Hope this helps!

It's pretty good but I can't replay the class trials from extras, I have to manually save to replay the class trial and a weird visual bug when I enter a room most of the stuff appear but a lot fo stuff is gone like a wall and some boxes and other stuff but if it does appear it just freezes mid-air other than that the games great!
