I tried a few free lessons in Python it worked out nicely on both PC and Android version. The Android version got halted a lot so I had to reboot the app a lot on my phone. Not sure if this has anything to do with my phone. I havent seen this halting issue on PC and ipad version and it's easier to code too with a larger physical keyboard.

This is a fun app that teaches topics in bite sized nuggets with quiz questions following each concept that's taught to ensure you understand it. I like how wrong answers are recycled to the end of the stack so you can be asked again later, to reinforce application of the concept. You only get the 1st lesson for each topic in the free version. The monthly subscription to utilize all 200 topics is too steep for me at this time. But, I will return to this app when my budget allows it.

While this app has some loading issues sometimes, it's overall worth the money. Most apps don't teach coding right, they want you to fill in the blanks or watch videos. I don't really learn with that, I learn by doing and thats how this app this teaches. For once, i actually feel like I'm learning. I started with SQL and I'm excited to get to every other language that I can. I'm going to be a data analyst eventually :) thank you, DataCamp!

Great app for practically implementing high lvl projects. A degree of expected knowledge(find & learn), hold your hand a lot. Needs insight on what they provide or a link to reference language/function implemented. Let's you create a workspace. Would look better in dark mode. Certs, & group tabs are distracting. Groups tab is better socially if it was other ppls workspace to collaborate. We have no friends. Certs should be on the side with the competions sections. I recommend it though & like

This mobile app is surprisingly really good! The lessons are good in terms of education, but the experience is also pretty amazing. You can run queries, you can see results, and you can do everything in the mobile app that you could do anywhere. It even has auto complete! This has been a surprisingly cool app, very glad I found it.

Excellent platform and app if you're interested in Data Science. The app does not have all the courses that are available on the website. The website offers more courses in specific skills where the app is built around making you well-rounded for Data Science. If you get a paid subscription you get full access to both the website and the app. I highly reccomend it, it's always worth investing in yourself.

fantastic app! i am amazed that this exists. such a fun and easy way to learn to code. I'm obsessed! i am still working on the intro to r course and i thought the app was great but thought that was all it was. i just noticed there are many other courses beyond this that go into data management and analytics, even machine learning. then there are real datasets to practice with on their website! im so excited!

Beginner. Easy to pick up at many given areas. Great if interested in cyber/tech/programming but don't really know what any of it is. Also being able to control the speed of the videos helps out allot. Normally I'd get bored unable to remain focused. Now I play it at 1.5X and have to focus for information is presented quickly enough to not be boring but not to overwhelm although I have repeated many sections of a lesson in order put it together. All of this information is new to me. So ues

One best platforms to learn data and machine learning related programming languages. This is one of the best choices I had made in my programming career. I just wished they could do better on the price. But compared to the rest their the most on point no easy BS around with you, not saying they don't easy you into it, just saying they don't cut have the info you need out just to make it easier or a better experience. if your for real want to be anything in the data field this is the place.

I've been studying Python and Tableau, as well as brushing up on my SQL. I've accessed this site on my laptop and my mobile device; both are comparably user-friendly. The in-browser coding window is the most bug-free of any site from which I've trained. I like the "hint" feature which gives a nudge in the right direction (with a small point penalty) without totally giving away the answer. Classes are well delivered well and the explanations are pretty clear.

Well, first of all it seems like a good app. I'm very interested in Python coding. You see when I click sign in with Google, and go back to the app it says loading course, but says an error has occured. It says check your internet connection and try again- did that multiple times still no luck. I don't want to be mean about the app, or start a fight it seems like a great app, just with a bug. I think that I might have had bad internet connection, it is now working but thank you!

Great courses, poor excercise instructions, and the interface sucks. Typing in the app is simply infuriating. Sometimes you can't delete what you type, sometimes when you do delete what you type it just randomly reappears on its own. Sometimes you delete something, run the code, and the deleted items still show up (therefore failing you on the excercise).

Pretty simple exercises. I'm an average programmer and I found the exercises kind of superficial and not very challenging - not that I want a huge challenge. If you were to put some of the exercises together into a small project, that would reinforce what you're trying to teach. Be advised, I'm not a strict adherent to any set pedagogy, but tease the app out a little.

If you have issues typing into the coding environment, get a Bluetooth keyboard and install an app that gives you no keyboard on screen, then select that app as your keyboard, bam, everything types fine. I just wish all of courses could be accessed in the app with my pro account. There's a lot of potential with this app if they decide to expand upon its features.

Very very well done app. The reason for the low score is as you may now it, the cost of premium. Monthly subscription at $30 per month is far too much to ask for an Android app. I would absolutely consider $30 or even $50 for an annual subscription but asking that much each month is far too much. E.g. You could get multiple streaming services for the same rate. A slight adjustment and I would have no problem paying for this app but as it stands I'll pass.

Love the desktop version, the instructions are very vague, but the tips that the interface give you help in figuring out the problems. Sometimes is kind of annoying but that's part of programming. The app is not bad but it's hard to type programming lines on a mobile. So I don't blame the app for that. If I have extra time waiting on something outside of my home or office I use the app version. But definitely prefer the Desktop version.

I prefer the app to the website. it's easy to use, with multiple choice and fill in the blank code. often times, on the website if you are not familiar with the variable names or their type when you're asked to fill them in without prior knowledge of the datasets, and glimpse isn't always loaded, it gets frustrating. this is so much more conducive to learning the concept and not the practice dataset. I wish they had the video lessons.

I've been having a lot of issues with the app crashing. It crashes whenever I am typing in code and then try scrolling. The screen will scroll up and then the app crashes. Another issue with the code screen: it doesn't let me delete mistakes very easy after testing them. The text just reverts back to what was last typed. App: Version 45.2.1 Phone: Galaxy S20 FE Android 12.0 (Overall really loving the app. I would love to write another review if this issue can get fixed. Thanks!)

Update (21 May 2024) - for some reason, this app has started having issues connecting to My Library. If this persists, I will probably have to knock it down to 3 stars Overall great courses. Not as easy to get an overview of your progress in a particular course or see where you are in the process as the web based version. Also, coding can be a bit wonky, sometimes putting in extra characters, or refusing to delete items, or deleting things out of order.

I think that all our courses are laid out well. I have personally used this for my work, and I enjoy the fact that there is a good balance between the instruction and the exercises. It is a big plus that I can rewatch content if I have missed or forgotten information or need to brush up on a skill covered in a certain concept. The point accumulation also speaks to my competitive side. So, for those of you that like to beat your own high scores, DataCamp is among the best options.
