Great App. I had to switch over to a Android phone and I was worried I would lose my journal app. I'm so glad they made an Android version! It's missing some of the great features that they offer for the Ios but hopefully soon they will incorporate those features into this app. I really miss my template feature, and the ability to change text styles and formatting. Please add these features to the Android app they are great!!!! Thanks!!!

I get so frustrated with the bugs! If you use a contraction or pause too long while typing a word, it doubles some letters. So you get things like I'I'm. I try to skip the ' & use word prediction, but it's the only app I have this problem with. So frustrating for an English major/writer. Reported months ago. They want $24+ per yr to go Premium. Not unless they fix it! So I'm limited to one journal. Found a workaround, though. I use emojis @ the top of pages to denote the type of entry. HA!

I have been looking for a daily journal option, and this is so perfect!! A quick, convenient way to jot down my thoughts, and I love that I can include pictures. UPDATE: I was never told that I needed to manually back up entries, and when I switched phones I lost ALL of my data... years of entries, with no way to retrieve it. I'm devastated, and sickened that a company with an online journaling system does not have a way to back up such important info automatically.

I like the features and UI. It's a profoundly functional app. Even the paid features are worthwhile. I don't like that I need to give location data for pictures. I guess it doesn't really matter, but it just feels like an overstep given the personal nature of a journal. I don't know how candid I can be if I feel like I'm being tracked. Probably an immaterial concern, but I can't shake the feeling. All said, a fantastic app that's proving to be a necessity.

An Almost Perfect Experience! I'd gladly pay $5 a month for premium (much higher than the actual cost), if I only had a way to access my journals some place other than my phone. Without a Mac or iPhone, however, I'm out of luck. Please, please finish development of a Windows desktop version, or at least a Chrome extension. Until then, I'll keep using Journey.

I'm obsessed. I have always been a constant journal keeper and have mostly preferred handwritten books but this app has changed everything for me. I love having multiple journals, some photo-based, and tags as well to keep things organized across time and topics. The synchronization across devices would be better if it werent somewhat delayed, but it's still awesome!! Pricing is great too. Can't recommend highly enough!

So first off, let me give a positive review. I've been using this app for three-four years now, and I'm a fan. This is my journal, and I love it. With that said, it's been glitching a lot lately. The font changes when I'm typing (and when I change the font back, it ignores me) and now my autocorrect isn't working properly and words are stacking on top of each other. Kind of cumbersome really. App is good tho otherwise, just would love to have those bugs fixed :)

Great app. One super annoying issue is the type ahead/double words. It's been this way for a LONG time, and the developers have never fixed it. Talk to text is also a bit tempermental. Also, often I'm writing entries somewhere other than where the event happened - the auto-included meta location is something I'd love to disable. Export to PDF is good.

It's alittle buggy in keeping things consistent while typing notes; whenever I exit and save a new template, the text just changes from where I left it. I would appreciate it if they could tweak that alittle better. Also it would be great if the app had more options in creating and duplicating templates. I see a lot of potential in this app; I'm actually interested in where it goes in the future. Hopefully it has less bugs. I might eventually get the premium version.

I was trying out the app and started an entry with just a title. Checked on my phone if it would show up and it did. Went back to my computer and wrote the entry; a couple paragraphs. Went back to my phone, opened the app and it said it was "synced" but the note still had only the title. Shortly after the text disappeared from the computer and returned back to the title only. Safe data sync is a must for this type of app. It's clearly not present or implemented very poorly.

I like plenty of the features in the app, but like others have stated, it's really annoying when words double up while typing. I also wish there were more font options. When I try to alter font size under settings, it doesn't actually change. I'd also like the option to toggle entry previews so I could just choose to view the titles of my journal entries to reduce visual noise.

I've been using it for over a year, and it's the best I have ever used. I journal consistently every week. I love how simple and smooth this app is. I like this app because it automatically enters the date but gives me full freedom to change it if I need to. The pro version freely transfers files between devices, which is super handy. The free version works great if you don't plan to transfer. It also gives the option to print out a beautiful book of all your journals. Awesome!

I honestly loved this app for what it was. They had SEVERAL helpful templates to help me with journaling ideas when I couldn't come up with any of my own. The problem is, there's no support if you're not a premium user and the website that they say you can use in addition to the app has deleted/not uploaded my journal entries twice. Email support is only for premium users. You get a forum if you're a free user. Good riddance.

I have been using this app for over 10 years now. For some reason, after an update yesterday... it crashing for the first time ever... on me. I have a plus account. How can I go back to the older update before this. The app itself is saying it's buggy. I'm at risk of losing 10 years of journaling. I started using the app in 2014... then if was being developed by Bloom Built Inc... It's now Automatic.

This is currently a very well designed app on Android but for some reason, they do not have a Windows, Chrome, or browser based interface so I can't give it the credit (stars) it deserves. (Developers, yes I paid for Premium.) EDIT: I found the web interface through the forum (should be a clear home page link). Adding one more star until a Windows app comes out.

Less than a week in, and I'm already so in love with it. 40 years of traditional diaries under my belt & an additional private e-mail online to store letters and stories were my previous journaling methods. The abilities of this app -- to store photos, videos, texts, posted thoughts and letters all in one place with options to share, print or have multiple journals at once -- is a game changer. If I ever write a book, this app will have played a major role in that objective.

It's been buggy for me (I have android/PC). Keeps overwriting my words on the android. So if I missspel something, it wants to add the word twice when I go back and edit it. I also lost an entire (very long) journal entry in the sync between the web version and the android app. Last thing, I realized it only allows for left to right writing. I write in Arabic sometimes and that requires you to be able to write from right to left. Currently exploring other options tbh.

The app so far is pretty great! I've only had it a little over a week so take me with a grain of salt. I have only one complaint thus far and that is when I retype a misspelled word, it auto corrects the word by doubling what I type. for example if I retype "stareotypical" as stereotypical, I would get "stereotypicalereotypical". confusing to relay so I apologize, granted it is twice as frustrating.

Great app! The reason only three starts is that the month listing continues to be off. For instance, it's May now but all my May entries are under June, April listings under May, etc. etc. for each month. There was one or two times when I opened the app and the month listing's were correct but then it goes back to this wonky listing. I have tried uninstall ingredients and reinstalling the app, updating the app, and making sure my OS is the most recent.

Android version doesn't save entries and the cancellation process is difficult. The android app stopped saving my entries making the entire application unreliable and pointless. The web version is also buggy. When I went to cancel the application, I got an error message which is infuriating. Then when I cancelled the subscription on Stripe, it wouldn't delete my credit card information because my subscription was active even though the plan was cancelled.
