It's usable, but has some slowness and glitches. Once you try to view all of the movies/shows for some reason it stops listing all of the movies/shows on your phone and only lists a portion of the movies that are available on the desktop website. Trying to search for comics is also unintuitive. DC should take some notes from Comixology as the delay between clicking on the search button and your keyboard popping up is about 10 seconds on the tablet. Right now the selection of comics is not that great compared to Hoopla and it doesn't have graphic novels, so if you want books where there is crossover across different books you actually have to research and look for the individual issues yourself and try to piece together the full story. Also, on my Samsung tablet it is locked in landscape mode and only turns when I start reading comics. This is a launch app, so I didn't expect it to be perfect, but so far its usable as a backup for your comics and it has a good selection of shows and movies including new releases such as "Death of Superman" and remastered version of older movies such as "Mask of the Phantasm."

Potential. Lots of potential. But is still very lacking. It does have a great selection of shows, and movies. But is very much lacking in the comics department, which is surprising given who this is. Wish they would at least have more issues for each of their eras, not just little teases. This is a great place for newcomers to start but the lack of actual books to read would send them to some pirate site where they have complete collections of what they want to read. I'm giving it a month and decided if it is worth it to keep around

Its great in its current form! Pre-ordered back in August 2018, but quickly realized that this app really sucked! It had terrible, very limited comic selection, mostly first issues. It was awful, very recently they added like 10,000+ comics from all eras and a ton of great shows, awesome turn around. Rivals Marvel Unlimited and more friendly ui. Also have put in a lot of work on Chromecast, used to not work at all, works like a charm. Love this app and knew this is what it could be!

Horrible trying to play this on the TV. Tried it with chromecast, apple TV, computers, xbox, playstation, and mirroring from my phone directly. Most of them didn't work and the ones that did were really poor quality. If you are going to have a price to stream you need to get better and allow people to stream to their TV. Overall not worth it right now. Still plenty of time to get it right but dont wait to long.

I've used the app since it was originally a streaming service with comics included. I love the app and the selection of comics. The problems that need to be addressed are favorites not appearing, the page blacks out and comes back at random on PC and on my phone, and I wish it was more community driven as it once was. Other than that, it's my favorite app that doesn't scalp or cap you for your reading interests

Rating the app, purely on the app and not on content. It got most of the basics right. The app worked fine, it looked fine, and the videos played just fine. Organization is still a big miss on this app. There's no sort or filter buttons still in the Movies and TV section. In addition for this section you're not able to find summaries for each episode. Also reading comics a big portion of this app is a mess. There's no easy way to return to the main screen. You've got to back button it back.

Still in beta and only offers 1 week until you pay way too much for what is offered. Stick to netflix. They have no current movies. No cw lineup of dc superhero shows. Really unimpressed and i greatly looked forward to this. Being in beta you should be offering longer free trial. As well as charging less. Even hulu now is 5.99 a month not 7.99 and offers a whole lot more. So fix it and step up more current shows and movies. But you may not get me back. It is not worth only 1 week trial before 7.99 a month. Hulu or netflix is the way to go. Such a disappointment.

I love the content of this app for sure. Great DC originals and a good source of comic content. The downside is the UI is appaling. Very clunky in the way it is organized and how its functionality. Also this app crashes upon me starting it up like 90% of the time. I'll delete it and redownload it multiple times and it will crash continuously. Like i get it the app will die sometime soon do to all the acquisition of WB and DC but if you're going to make paid subscription service make it work.

I was super excited for this app as I love DC. After having it for a month, I found out how bare bones it is. The movie selection and tv shows are very limited and you burn through the selection very quickly. The comic selection is also lacking. If it's a monthly subscription I would hope I could read new comics that come out, but they dont add hardly any of them. Comics, TV shows and movies are rotated out which doesn't make any sense to me since it's their media on their app with their brand. I'd say to wait until they've added more.

No in-app feedback feature. The app (especially on Android TV) can be pretty buggy Reaching the end of Titans results in an error message - it really just means the video is over. Stopping a video leaves the app sitting on a black screen. You have to hit back. Not normal UI video behavior. Very much unfinished. Having access to all the content in one place is amazing tho. Comics reading UI could use a tweak here and there, but is awesome once you realize it has all the features one would want.

Be wary if you sign up through Roku. I had issues signing up with my TV, so I finished the process on my phone. After a week of the subscription, I decided it wasn't the best and canceled through DC. DC updated my end date for the subscription to 12/12/18. Then still received a charge, even though I didn't finish the sign up the process through Roku. Went back to DC and it still showed the same end date, but roku had extended it for a further month on their end. Definitely not a fan of the app and if you're going to make parties go through the original sign up method, don't say on your site that the cancelation was successful and update the end date.

decided to try this for the free Batman stuff today, and it will not stream to the chromecast, it starts to but then once you press play it just spins. I'm unsubscribing instantly, not worth it, and many others are complaining about it too. and if you're having trouble canceling just go through the play store to your subscriptions and cancel there, it worked perfectly from there.

Love the ability to read comics without paying a ton for each issue The reason this isn't 4 or 5 stars is as other comments have said the performance SUCKS I can never look at the My Comics page, each issue and sometimes even each page takes ages to load, and yes even the search function is nearly useless. This isn't really about bad performance but also the front page never recommends anything for me personally it just shows me the biggest or newest stuff and maybe a showcase

This app is so poorly optimized it's insulting. The search function is just useless. Half the time I'm given no indication if a comic was added to a list. The other half of the time the comic I select just doesn't load. Downloading isn't a feature it's a requirement because otherwise the pages don't load. For some reason everytime I open the app it says "downloads removed" (but they aren't). This is just so much worse than DC universe. I lost TV content to pay more for a worst app 😭.

Love being able to read and download comics, and love that it's an unlimited amount. My main issue is that very frequently, I can't load anything. I'll click on a comic, but the app will just refuse to load it. Wish this issue would get fixed. It doesn't seem to be a connection issue, as it does this no matter what wifi I'm connected to

Great selection of comics that is unfortunately marred by the less-than-stellar performance of the application itself. Bad loading times, comics not correctly displaying as favorited or not, and inexplicable connection issues are just a few of the issues I've experienced. I've been subscribed for years now and I want to give a glowing review, but none of the app's problems have been addressed when they absolutely need to be fixed. Edit: Two years later and my problems have only gotten worse.

Used to work well enough, but for some reason my Dive Back In isn't anything I've been reading and search has frequently been hit or miss at best. I sometimes have to refresh the comics multiple times to them to load, my comics list won't load and, to be frank, it's frequently better to just read it in the mobile browser. I like the app in theory, but in practice it could use some work

This app is a few years old now I've been using it since it came out and it still has some irritating issues. I wanna say ever other time you try to click on a comic it just doesn't load. You could sit there forever and nothing happens you have to click on and off of it and hope it eventually works. And now sometimes when new issues come out you can't read them even when it's been six months because of the bug with the ULTRA tier. Which is far too much for what little it adds.

App works well but the subscription tiers are unbearable. I cannot afford the upfront price for the Ultra level. But the Ulltra price equates to about 9.99/month, yet they don't offer it at a monthly price. That would make so much sense and be so much more accessible. Also 6 months is such a long time to wait for access to new releases on the current monthly level. I wish I could purchase individual issues at least.

Loved it before, but it hasn't worked for me since January. It's absolutely terrible that I'm paying for something that doesn't function properly. The screen constantly blacks out and then boots me from the comic I'm reading or throws me off the app completely. Hopefully, they will fix it, and I can go back to reading comics again. Until then, I'm canceling the subscription.
