Using this app to keep my UK mobile number while living abroad - switching was easy (just porting a PAC code as usual with networks) and rings numbers, clear calls and (most importantly) receives SMS from websites to log in. ** One improvement for the developers - when making a call, please put a button to switch on the speakerphone. At the moment speaker can only be switched on to once the call is connected, whereas it is handy to hear the ringtone on speaker. Good app so far.

Besides being a very functional and easy to use app, it serves me as my WhatsApp number as well. This is huge. Above all, their support area is the best I have ever experienced. Quick, precise and empathic answers. Real outlier in today's tech world. The app is very stable as well. The only constraint is that it doesn't have the same flexibility as the Skype number for cheaper calls to different countries; it's more like a local service. Strongly recommend if this suits your requirement.

Terrible I'm afraid. It has so much potential as well. SMS come and go fine but voice calls are only possible in the quietest of places - the volume is so low it's almost inaudible, and there is no way to make it louder. There is a settings button, but no settings to alter. When you make an outgoing call it rings (?) but no sound at all for an incoming call, let alone the option to choose a ring tone. I tried this app because Skype kept missing incoming calls, but this is far worse.

Having tried a similar app to keep my UK number on a French phone, I was a little wary of Devyce. The previous app kept dropping audio, and often calls didn't ring. Thankfully Devyce doesn't seem to have those problems. Calls go through OK & messages work well. The process to port in my number went smoothly. The app itself is still very basic (hence the 3 stars). It lacks things I'd expect from a phone Eg. Paste a number, no dial pad during a call, & limited integration with Contacts.

Tried a couple of other apps before landing on this. First one, Swytch, was very glitchy and didn't always ring. Their support was very good, but they couldn't solve the issue. Second one Numero seemed good at first, but having said that they could port in my existing UK number, it then transpired that they couldn't. Very frustrating and disappointing support, which wasted about a week. Devyce, being in the UK, had no issues and support was very swift and helpful.

Not a great UI. Loudspeaker doesn't do anything. I wanted to port my UK Number over permanently but I just feel it's not polished enough to risk at this stage. I like the flexibility of payment and signing up was easy. I'll try again in 6 months to see if it's been improved. **Feb 2023: still no decent loudspeaker, still no contacts import option. Very flakey app to use still at this stage.

Great app, I advice everyone to use it, everything is working perfectly👌🌹 However, It will be great if you add this feature, where the End user or client can manage his subscriptions without needing to get on touch with support, that will save the time for the support team and the client. For example, he Can stop the Membership, whenever he wants to return, he can Deactivate or restart the membership.

Unfortunately, this app has deteriorated since I originally began using it. Whilst the promise is great, the reality is: calls cut out; I don't receive calls sometimes (just missed calls); and my contacts don't sync with the app. Previously, I gave it 5 stars because it worked reasonably well and was reliable. I'm on the verge of going back to Skype, which will give me a landline UK number, which I can marry up with WhatsApp Business. Not ideal, but at least they work as expected.

The app works just fine for me, it's like I now have 3 SIMS in my dual sim phone. I have used it in both Portugal and the UK successfully, phone calls and text messages. You just have to make sure you have some kind of internet connection. Best of all is that when I have messed things up (twice now) the support via email is patient and kind, and works through the problem with you.

It's a useful app, however recently I have had many issues. Firstly, i don't receive some of the calls, and i receive them when they're missed. Second, when i call landline numbers in UK, they dont hear me, and there is an issue with the speaker bottom too. Third, as soon as my phone locks, i lose the call, and they stop hearing me. I think the application still has a lot of work and needs to be developed.

All you need is a device with an Internet connection and you can add a uk mobile number to it in a few seconds. The app works - receive and make calls, plus receive and send sms. I'm using android and the phone still rings even if the app is closed. Porting an existing mobile number is as simple as sending the pac in an email and waiting a couple of days. Technical support when I messed up the payment method was lightning fast and excellent.

Great in theory but can be flaky in practice. When it works it's exactly what you'd hope it would be. But in reality, half the time incoming calls are immediately missed or fail to connect when try to answer them, though this can be mitigated by adjusting the app's battery and display settings. Similarly, some SMS messages you send fail but without warning or notification, and likewise I've failed to receive some incoming messages also.

Update: can't seem to create new messages, I can only respond to those already sent. Can someone please contact me? I've already sent a couple of emails with no response. THANKS! Update: The devyce team have been great and really supportive. Currently making changes to the message interface. THANK YOU! Am having a poor experience. Messaging not working so decided to uninstall and reinstall app. Now can't even get into app as my app code isn't recognised. Can someone please contact/help me ASAP?

Best pick. I evaluated several apps and trialled this and another one. This app provided all the functionality I needed with a simple transparent pricing plan unlike the others which were confusing. I tried to contact the other app provider and no one answered, whereas someone was on hand to assist with Devyce. The best surprise was when I used the app in an area with poor network connectivity where other messenger apps (WhatsApp, fb messenger etc.) would fail and it worked very well.

I'm so glad I came across Devyce. I essentially wanted to pay for phone number and not a "plan" or "contract" which seems to be the only other options out there! I use this number to contact clients via whatsapp so there's no extra cost other than keeping the number live, but calls and texts are reasonably priced if you want to use those too! The team have been so helpful and responded to all of my queries usually within minutes! I'm so impressed and pleased with this service. Would recommend.

First time use, ridiculously easy to sign up and set up. I got it while overseas and Skype called my new number. Seems to work pretty flawlessly. Nice design.

This app is much better these days. Calls are now functional without too many glitches. The main problem now is that the audio cuts when switching to a different app. For example if in a call you need to search for another piece of data, the audio will not pass through to the call unless you return to the Devyce app. The other minor issue is that the notification of an incoming call often fails and/or the instruction to connect the incoming call fails and the call drops.

Six months later this bug still exists: It's nice but often the in-call screen disappears when the call connects meaning that it's not possible to turn on the speaker or hang up! Also the headset audio and voice stop working when the phone screen goes off during a call. It seems necessary to bring the phone out of standby then unplug and reconnect the headset and of course ask for patience of the person on the other end of the call - five-plus times per call.

This app does everything I wanted. I've recently emigrated from UK to USA and wanted to keep my number to stay in touch with friends and business services in UK. I also wanted to be able to receive verification texts from my UK bank and others. I don't understand the negative reviews. Yes it doesn't yet have loads of bells and whistles, but the developers have concentrated on making sure they get the basics right first. They have also been very quick and patient in answering my naive questions.

Great idea but the app is hopeless. No favourite numbers, no speakerphone whilst dialling, keeps duplicating calls in history, very slow to load. Overall an awful app that solves a problem that all expats have. Could be made so much better so easily. I struggle on in the hope that one day it will improve. I suggest that all the developers solely use this app for calls and texts for a month and see how frustrating it is. You can do better!
