Update: also, it would be so beneficial to put an optional current reading under the icon that shows on the lock screen. Just a number. No one would know what it means and if it's my choice to display it, no privacy issues. OkPrevious comment: Why on earth can't I make a screen shot in the app, but I can freely screen shot reports??? Making reports takes too much time and effort when all I want is to simply capture, in detail, the last few hours .... my phone is secured 6 ways to Sunday already.

The app worked great until I upgraded my phone to the Galaxy Note 10+. It's been out since the end of August, yet Dexcom hasn't updated this app yet. Forcing users to carry around a second receiver device instead of being able to use their phones is so incredibly disappointing. Update from 2/2024: New phone, again this app isn't compatible. 3rd time this has happened. I assume the developers want to validate compatibility, but as a programmer, the delays involved with Dexcom are unacceptable.

Recently purchased the S24 Ultra. I've discovered that when I have the phone in dark mode, the text color of the dexcom lock screen notification does not change to a color that is readable. It's black text on a grey box so impossible to read. I'm reading that this issue has been happening for over 4 months now and dexcom had still not fixed it yet. This is ridiculous to allow a bug like this to go this long with an update.

When an audio alert takes place, it suspends any audio that was already running. If I'm listening to music, I have to go back to the music app and click it to start playing again. It's incredibly frustrating. Further, it's impossible to read the number in the notification dropdown when you're in dark mode. These complaints have been made many times. These bugs aren't hard to fix. I don't understand why these haven't been fixed.

This app has continued to go down hill, and now it's almost unusable. It stopped sharing, it keeps asking me to re log in, there is an update in my play store that has refused to update for months, and sometimes notifications sound, and sometimes they don't. For something that is supposed to be able to alert us to life threatening blood sugars, it certainly needs a lot of work still.

Overall, this app has always been clunky and rough to use. Once I figured out where to find everything, I could make it work, but it still had some bugs and weird kinks about it. However, now, every time I log in, I'm receiving server code errors. Can't reset password, can't track sugars on my phone. This is now completely useless unless I carry around a secondary device. Please fix this app. This is frustrating. It was a 3 star before, and now it's unusable.

Excellent experience Equipment is state-of-the-art for the period. It is becoming dated with new options available. Decom techs know their product, and they are fully capable of fixing any glitch that might come up. I have very much enjoyed their help with any difficulties that have come up! Thanks very much. Jrp

Update: Now I'm required to calibrate it to keep the sensor working. I specifically chose dexcom so I didn't have to calibrate it. Throughly disappointed. Hoping it's just this specific sensor having issues. The point of the sensor was to reduce finger poking. But to now, after so long, require finger poking is just absurd. Still appreciate the trends and continuous readings but greatly disappointed to be required to test to use the sensor.

App works great on rotary phones, but if you have a phone from this century, don't hold your breathe. Every new update crashes the app for 6 mos or longer. Samsung requires mandatory software updates, meanwhile Dexcom uses a cop out by listing "compatible" phones that are 2 years old or older. Thankfully there are smart end users with hacked/modified versions of the app on reddit that actually work. Thankful to those reddit users who are clearly smarter than the devs at Dexcom and keep fixing it

there's always an issue. EVERY time I change a sensor or the transmitter, I have to call tech support. either it isn't reading and I have to calibrate it a thousand times (and still doesn't read correctly), or it won't pair with the reciever or phone, or I get signal loss when it the reciever is right next to me. etc. always an issue. then an agent I talked to today laughed at me. I had to call back and speak with someone else because she was so rude. why don't your products work correctly?

Update: Thank you for fixing the app! I can finally see the data in dark mode. ----------- Impossible to read the CGM data from the drop-down after the latest update. I can't seem to find a solution and there is no setting in the app. The only thing that works is changing from dark mode to the regular mode and I'm not willing to keep it that way. So annoying!

Very good over all performance. The only thing I have to complain about are the alerts, for some reason they aren't sounding properly? Not only do they occasionally silence themselves (even when not on do not disturb), but sometimes won't sound on some of the people I have my cgm data shared to s devices. Other than that, I would say that dexcom has helped me and my diabetes greatly over the past two years.

I've updated my review and added a star. My complaint is no longer that the alerts are too loud. It's that the app isn't intuitive enough to make it obvious that you can change the alert sounds, including vibration only alerts. For months I thought I just couldn't use my phone for music because I could be deafened by an unexpected alert. I know have all of my alerts except Urgent Low on vibration only.

When sensors get down to the last couple days, they become extremely incorrect and refuse to be calibrated. My blood sugar is currently ~220, but dexcom says 66. Unfortunately, the sensor refuses this value and instead says there's been an issue during calibration. Now, not too big of a deal, but the app forces all notifications and sounds to go through at an ear splitting 100% at an ear piercing pitch. While I can't calibrate my sensor, I have constant alerts and no insulin delivery from my pod

Used to be perfect! Unfortunately over the last 6 months or so, it loses connection more and more frequently. Once it wouldn't connect to a new transmitter without fully deleting the Bluetooth dexcom connection and starting all over (which required breaking the newly applied sensor to remove the transmitter). Signal loss is phone only, it'll still connect to the omnipod - so it definitely seems like an app issue.

UPDATE: It looks like they fixed the issue finally (5/5/2024). So glad zi can see my numbers clearly now! They sent through an update that makes the text black even when you're in Dark mode. So it's nearly impossible to read your numbers. It's so frustrating because Light mode hurts my eyes at night. But I have to leave it light mood to be able to read my numbers because I wear glasses. And it sounds like they have no intention of fixing this. So frustrating.

Like others, I can no longer read my numbers in dark mode. Please change this back or allow a setting for us to change the font color. I can no longer quickly glance at my number at all while busy. Not only that, but I seem to lose connectivity a LOT more with the new version. Am using my Omnipod controller to see my sugars instead. This update was a SIGNIFICANT step backwards!! Edit: after 6mo it's finally fixed 💯

Edit: six months later, this is finally fixed! Over the last few days there was an update that makes it impossible to read the CGM data from the drop down notification when in dark mode. The background is gray and the text is black! There seems to be no way to change this setting in the app. Otherwise everything is great - why was this change made? Clearly others are having the same issue with multiple complaints listed here.

Been using this app for a few years now. Considering g7 but sounds like it's way worse. This app needs some improvements ...losing signal when nearby, ability to note food spikes, long list of Bluetooth connections that are not needed any longer, but it appears g7 still has many of these issues so why upgrade? As for the g6 recent upgrade...like dark mode but the numbers are too small and difficult to read, especially without my glasses. Not eyesight impaired or senior friendly at all.

Edit: this has finally been resolved. Edit: Over 4 months later and this is still not fixed! Seems they don't care about supporting this app! Original: Since the last app update, using dark mode on my pixel 7, the number is barely visible since it's black font on dark grey. This just started happening, have been using dark mode for years. I did contact them, no help, they sent me a replacement sensor. This really is an easy fix from a technical standpoint, shouldn't take this long!
