I must say. Its still a very Excellent Music App! And i am extremely happy with the app being compatible with Android Auto. I can not do without Di.fm on Trance Thursdays on the Trance channel. (09/20/2018)Excellent music app! 2 things I do not like. 1 when you're listening to One song you switch stations then you go right back to finish listening to the song and it a different song. 2 I wish it was compatible with Android Auto like some of the other music apps.

Latest and previous iterations (for the past few months) of this application crash randomly on my Note 9. I've read through user AND developer comments and tried each of the options listed, which usually pertain to clearing the cache, uninstalling, rebooting the phone, and reinstalling. This has NOT worked. What am I missing? I'm not the only one out there with this issue (as someone stated in another recent post) and the latest update (~10 hours ago) does not fix the problem. Thanks.

Ioved the app and was premium user for many years, but lately the service got bad. Some radio plays the same tracks over in a row, sometimes station plays only one track and stops playing the next and wouldn't start w/o restarting the app. Not too many new tracks added, maybe only a few a year. Well it's time to move on and give a try to Amazon

I use the di.fm app daily, and have been a premium subscriber for something like 8 years. The most recent update has made the app laggy and broken some functions - it now takes a while to recognize that I have a paid subscription, the shows tab takes forever to load and sometimes says there are no shows scheduled that day, and the share button is missing (I use it to bookmark songs I want to check out later). It's too bad, because it worked really consistently for years.

Please add the ability to change thumbs up and thumbs down tracks from the notification shade like users can work YouTube Music. Also the ability to advance and reverse tracks would from the notification shade. The year should not have to go back into the app just to interact with it. I would like to see direct integration with the Google Assistant so I can have playlist start using just the Google Assistant. Please add these features.

(Updated from 08/20 review) The last update was meant to improve the app, but it's only made it a big pile of garbage. It's constantly buffering, it locks up during ads, and just randomly stops. Yes, I'm a free user, but when I can't even make it through any radio shows because an ad has a good chance of bugging the app and I have to start over (premium users can't fast forward in a show either...) then what's the point? Guess it's time to find another way to listen to EDM shows. Zero stars!

I think there is one thing missing and that is in its interface with Android auto. You guys are missing insane amounts of input from your listeners. Giving us the option to upvote the songs being played will help you and your playlists. But unlike in other apps including iHeartRadio that give us the thumbs up thumbs down option for quick voting while driving you have not enabled that feature, please do and that would make this app even better. Otherwise keep up the consistently good work.

So I found digitally imported back in the winamp days, like 1999, and they had like 5 channels, and I loved them then. Now they are the authority on all types of techno and I constant refer people to this app if they're interested in exploring electronic music. The only complaint I have is that you can't seek through any of their archived shows, like if you want to listen to that song at 27:00 of a DJ set you have to just hit play and wait, and that it's hard to find track lists.

I have had this app for a while now and it's very convenient, whilst on the road. Recently, the app has completely stopped working, each station attempted, keeps buffering nor doesn't play at all. I am a monthly subscriber and decided to end my subscription and suspend payment until it's fixed!! I have uninstalled, reinstalled it,cleared the cache but the issue persists.

Great music selection but the app stream constantly times out and drives me crazy. I have to go back in the app and press play / reopen the app several times an hour.No other app I use does this. Another annoyance is even though I pay $7.99 a month for a subscription (borderline too high) I'm nagged every few hours with an "are you still there" message and my stream stops.. thanks for adding Android auto, finally. Works great so far.

9.30.23 Did everything they said and it still does the same thing. Email support like they said and no response. I love this app, it's one of the only things I listen to, but latest update really messed it up. When I start the app it just says buffering. I have to select a different channel every time and when using Android Auto that's really a pain to have to go through all that every time I get in my car. I have reinstalled version 4.9 and all works like it should. I'm a premium user.

What was once a fantastic app has become increasingly problematic, buggy, and unreliable. Crashes when you want it open, refuses to close when you want it gone. Continuously stops playing music, jumps and skips like a CD player on a jogger in the middle of and between songs. Previously the stream played perfectly timed times with smooth transitions. Now songs will be cut in half when a show starts and proceed to skip and jump for minutes after. Another case of developers fiddling with a great app to turn it into a hot mess.

When it works, it's great. Fantastic audio quality, generally a very simple user experience. What grinds my gears is that this is one of the most finicky apps I've ever used. At least 90% of the time I boot up android auto, I have to manually open the app on my phone and push play. On at least 3 separate occasions now, I've had the app completely cease to function for extended periods of time. This time, it has decided to log me out every time I push play, even through a reinstall.

This is an update from my old 1-star review from 2017. Since then, I've upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy 10+ with no desire to upgrade anytime soon. The app works far better, and I hope to hear more expansive playlists in the future. It would be nice if you could choose whether external controls skip channels or songs...despite this, the variety is a must have for any lover of music & dance fundamentals.

Not all radios is good, but I found 13 great stations!!! Many thanks, it's take me away from boring feelings in Denver. Nice depression treatment! Unfortunately paid version so expensive, better listen to commertials. I'm a free user. And commercials give me some rest! I can't listen music all time long, it's bad for ears! I listen a lot of space music, also techno with robotic sound. Other kind of techno-I'm really not listen... But THERE IS radios with space music!

I've been listening to di.fm since 1999, & been a paid subscriber for about 10 years. The app used to be perfect. It started instantly, and the music never failed. Since they "upgraded" to "modern tools" it has really gone downhill. The startup times have gone from 2 seconds to 10-15. Most of the time when I close the app, it opens itself in the "swipe down" menu, and will randomly start playing music at random times. I can only close it by force stopping it. This is really annoying!

I've been listening to DI.fm since the early 2000s, and it's one of the best electronic music outlets out there. There almost guaranteed to be a channel for you if your into any kind of EDM or electronic music, and while it does have ads in the free version, they aren't overwhelming. Only downside is the ads don't rotate much, so after the 10,000th time hearing the same thing I finally upgraded. No ads is great, and the cost is honestly cheap for what you get.

I LOVE all of the DI stations/apps. Great selections and really great quality. Apps work great also. Only bug I've had as of late is that whichever DI app I used last will automatically start playing my last played station for no reason, even if Android doesn't show it being on. I have to open the app and pause the music. Super weird. Keep on keeping on!

I'm never going to get through a whole show on this app without listening to it the whole way through. If you resume anytime after or switch devices, it will never be able to buffer from the resume point and you'll simply have to start over because you can't manually skip ahead. The music is great, no problem if just playing it as a radio, but good luck if you're listening to past live shows. Yes, I cleared the caches, reinstalled, everything. How about fixing the app?

David Oliver

Would love to rate this higher, but the constant "buffering" issue when resuming a stream on Android Auto is annoying. Judging from the dates of past reviews of this issue, I'm not crossing my fingers hoping for a fix anytime soon. Gets at least 3 stars for the great music though.
