Simple to cook good food. Definitely doesn't look like enough food when you first unpack it, but it cooks up to be completely plenty. Inexpensive and easy to use. Very simple to skip orders if you wanna alternate weeks. Only thing is I wish there was a way to send the recipes to someone else. I order the box, but most often my partner cooks. I wish their was a way to send him the recipe other than individual screen shots.

It would be nice if past recipes went into a different section......having to scroll through old recipes and recipes for dinners that have not been sent to me yet to get to this weeks recipes. As far as the food goes it's always fresh, the recipes are easy to follow, the meal sizes are perfect, and a great price, loving not having to shop for dinner anymore.

If you an follow the recipes on the app (which are horribly written) the food is good. The price point is great compared to the other meal delivery kits, but the packaging is terrible and something is always ruined during shipping. Lastly, how do you not have the option to download and print a PDF of the recipes from the app. It has to be done from a browser. Absolutely terrible functionality.

Ever since the most recent update, the app is not user friendly at all. It's difficult to see what meals were ordered, the meals that I am getting for the week disappear until it's delivered and for the recipes each step is on a different screen, whereas in the past it was all on one. Furthermore, all of my favorite recipes are no longer available to me and the see past boxes option is gone. Overall, the setup is terrible and I will be cancelling my meal delivery service.

I only have a handful of complaints about the service in general, but my review is for the app alone. I preferred the prior version. This version removed the feature that moved cooked recipes to a different spot so that it was easier to reference the unused ones. It also moves current recipes to the "prior" page too soon. It would be nice to scroll up/down through the instructions.

The updated app is definitely a downgrade - you can no longer save recipes or view favorites, nor can you view the details of a recipe prior to selecting it for your box. Also, the interface for selecting meals is clunkier and you can't manage your deliveries as far in advance as you previously could, which was very convenient for making sure you don't accidentally get a box when you'll be out of town!

The food itself is good, the price is reasonable, but the app needs work in my opinion. Especially the section with your recipes. It should be simple enough to drag and organize my recipes, so that I can put them in order and easily remember my plan for the week. Also, the recipes scroll to the side instead of down, which is really just not intuitive, feels clunky. I would really appreciate the ability to say I don't like certain ingredients, but it's mostly okay since I can choose my recipes.

Everything is fresh and in pretty good condition when it arrives. It can be challenging to figure out what veggies or accompanyment belongs with what recipe because they aren't separated. But it usually works out. So long as you know all your various fruits and veggies. The meals have been mostly good and filling. Good recipes! Fairly easy and quick.

UPDATE: After trying Dinnerly for about a month, I decided to cancel. It's good for what it is (stress-free meal planning), but I had some quality issues. The app itself is decent, but some of the navigation feels counterintuitive. For instance, there is no straightforward way to view your current recipes after the "rate your meals" starts showing. You have to tap rate, then tap the meal that you are trying to cook. It's the small things in UI/UX. ORIGINAL: Unable to sign up, website is broken

I love the meals they offer. I'm on my 4th week. App is easy to use, but have a few suggestions/critiques. App cons: 1. I want to order my favorite past dinners. Why are they unavailable some weeks? 2. More dinner choices that include past choices would be nice. 3. Pictures that go along with the recipe would be helpful! 4. I don't like the recipe side scrolling. 5. Why not allow recipes to be viewed FULL screen? We don't need a useless picture of a pan taking up the top half of the screen!

I also experienced that the ingredients are sometimes missing. And the box disappearing from the app on some days. But the biggest issue is that they take your money and don't deliver boxes. My box was supposed to arrive on Tuesday and the app shows it as delivered. But if I look at the tracking website it's clearly showing as not delivered. The app does not acknowledge this, and the customer service never responds to emails. They just keep your money. This happened two times in a month. Beware

Since Dinnerly doesn't come with recipe cards with your box, you have to view the cooking steps through the app or their website. The above is fine because it keeps the service cheap, but the app's cooking instructions shows only one cooking step at a time whereas the website version has the full page recipe card that shows all of the steps. The former makes sense if you're on a phone with a small screen, but I use a tablet so I'm capable of seeing multiple steps. I just wish they had the option in the app to directly download or show the recipe card instead.

Honestly a pretty good subscription meal service. Giving two stars because after pausing your subscription, there is absolutely no notification that comes through to remind you that it's a about to start back up, no matter how long you have it paused for. To me, that's just a small detail that would make the app just a bit more user friendly.

I've downgraded my rating for one reason. I can't search for recipes anymore. The previous version allowed me to search by an ingredient or category or favorites to find a recipe that I'd like to make but isn't in the rotation any time soon. Now I have to scroll back through every single week's order to find the one I want. Except for that, I really like the new version. Much nicer user interface. Hooray! I've been waiting for this app! No more downloading and/or printing the recipes!

I love this service and have tried many before. The recipes are good and they don't repeat like other services do. However, I rate the app very poorly because ever since they updated I cannot see recipe instructions in full. The instructions are larger than the screen and the app doesn't allow for scrolling down so I'm missing steps! I hope they update soon to correct this because I don't want to switch to another service!

Ok so I kind of love this thing. 1) I like that I get 3 dinners every week that I have to put 0 planning, 0 shopping, 0 thought into. Dinner is covered. 2) it's actually not that expensive compared to what I would spend at the store, and it's very convenient. 3) most of the recipes I have really liked. Down sides- 1) I'm not a planner. You have to pay for it and choose meals or to skip a delivery a week in advance. 2) I wish there were more veggies

Edit 2-21-22: Better. They fixed several issues which I appreciate. They also no longer send me an entire head of garlic each week which I really appreciate! 😅 I'd like if I could view recipe directions ahead of time, and if the directions were just on one page like how it was before the app updated. It's annoying to have to swipe between steps rather than just scrolling up and down.

Finally someone figured out how to do the meal kit right! Of all the ones I've tried, Dinnerly tastes great and has the easiest-to-follow recipes with options for good, quick meals you can make in like 15-20 minutes if you want. User friendly app makes it easy to customize orders and change the delivery schedule, as well as access the recipes so you don't have 100 big meal cards and other paper waste cluttering up your life. Would recommend 10/10

I love the service (best meal prep for value, bar none), but the app has sluggish performance on most animations and new page loads. They also do this "cute" thing where a recipe will have more slides than it needs, and the extra slides just have text to try and indicate that their recipes are better because they're simpler? Don't let the patronizing marketing push you away, the service is great, but maybe manage things on your computer if you've got an older phone.

Box was undelivered, contacted support and refund was $4 short. Next week ingredient missing and some mold on the cucumbers. Lastly, the amount they show as charging in the app is always $3-$4 less than what is actually taken out of your account. Lastly, when I canceled today I have one more box coming, to take advantage of the refund for missing ingredients. However after I canceled, the app shows nothing so will see if I get my food as they have already charged me.
