I installed app on my smart tv. Subscribed with the monthly fee. App keeps crashing & I was told to uninstall & re-install app. I can find no place with the app which will allow me to do that. Have been unable to get any help from Discovery. Can someone please help me???

I have the same problem as other reviewers. The app keeps crashing & I cannot find where to uninstall & reinstall the app on my tv. I have contacted Discovery Plus a few times but no one responds. This isn’t worth the aggravation. Don’t download it.

Have tried on tv, laptop, phone, app and am unable to upgrade/install the commercial free version. They send you around in circles with no easy way to accomplish and the streaming is unwatchable with the constant commercial stoppages.

I am a visual learner so I have always used close captioning on all of my movies, TV shows, etc. I installed the ad free Discovery Plus app on my 4k TV, phone and iPad. I only get a choice of CC in French. I have tried managing my profile, creating a new profile, using another family members profile and managing my account. I reached out to the developers a week ago with no solutions yet. Managing my account shouldn’t be this difficult!! I should be able to control the account on a PC or phone

CANNOT FIND ANY PLACE TO UPGRADE-soooo stupid!! I’ve wasted 30 mins bouncing back and fourth between my app on smart tv and my phone and now my downloaded discovery app and Google play and there is literally NOWHERE to upgrade my subscription. Each of these locations directs me to another location. I’m just going to cancel the account. So angry!! Have not even watched discovery in a year bcz I can’t upgrade to ad free-stupid stupid stupid. Rating -10

Such a frustrating app, tried to upgrade to the ad free version. Says you have to cancel subscription then simply "Go back into the discovery+ app and choose the Ad-Free plan." Sorry not an option, only allows you to re subscribe (ad lite version) Plus very little current content available.

Our 1 gripe. You would THINK that the ability to upgrade your plan and give them an extra 2 bucks a month would be a simple process LoL. The Android TV process has to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Cancel sub then back to the app to choose a new plan. Except you have to wait until the month is up LoL One of the best UX I've ever seen with this one exception. Dumb!

I have two TiVo Stream devices... I was able to install Discovery+ on one of the devices when this serviced launched. Was able to access and sign into Discovery+ with no problems. Today, I am installing the app on my other TiVo Stream device and I am unable to use the google keyboard with this device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the google keyboard and I am still having the same issue. I am also use the keyboard on all other apps. Disappointing that this is occurring so early in the game. UPDATE: I was able to install a different keyboard app and I was able to sign into Discovery+ without further issue. I have changed my rating for this application. Thank you.

I am so dissatisfied and disappointed on the performance of this app… it freezes on EVERY SINGLE AD!! I have to go back and resume EVERYTIME! ..not I what I would like to watch to when I’m paying for an app. I tried to go back and change the plan to the non ad and it’s like you are purposely not making easy… hoping that the add free one will not be glitchy.. if it is… then maybe you should take a look on how you build this app to perform.. if I can’t fix this I will have to unsubscribe… SHAME.

FIX.YOUR.ADS. The ads freeze on me every other commercial break and a lot of times it rewinds the show I'm watching, I've had to stop watching for awhile cause it was making me made. FIX.YOUR.PLAN.SELECTION. Because I was getting mad at the ads I tried to upgrade to ad-free - HOW IS THIS NOT AN OPTION. Your shows are amazing and it's the only streaming service I needs BUT there are SOO many bugs to fix. Edit: so I waited for the end of my billing period and my app through Google would only let me renew my old plan 0 option to select a new plan

I took the free trial add supported for a week. The darn adds run in a loop over and over driving me insane. I decided to upgrade to the add free version. only 2 bucks so no big deal. I followed the instructions by cancelling the sub so I could upgrade. I am unable to upgrade to the add free version no matter what I try. It says the app will work till March 21st when it was scheduled to renew. I want this app and am happy to pay for it IF IT WILL LET ME!

Got the subscription with the commercials and every time the commercials come in and it’s about to cut right back to the show the dram freezes but the show still continues with sound. Not very happy about this bc it’s a non stop reoccurring thing. I have to back out of the show and go back in to get it to unfreeze. Tried to change my subscription to the no commercials… that is a nightmare ans not easy to do ans I still haven’t been able to do it!

Annoying problems with this app and Google TV. Whenever a new episode of a program is available, this app sends every last show that you've ever watched into the "continue watching" feed. Even after you watch the one new episode, the other shows have to be hidden each time. Same problem happens again the next week. It hijacks the continue menu. The "skip intro" also doesn't work. It's highlighted, but when you press it, it activates pause instead.

Worst experience. After every ad the shows glitch. Only app that does that. Super annoying. Tried to upgrade to ad-free (costs more). Totally willing to pay. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to do so… tried on TV subscription, in app, via Google Play, nada…. Worst experience ever. Loathe this app.

This is the third month I have been billed for discovery plus after emailing them multiple times that I want to unsubscribe and cancel my membership, but they have not helped me. I keep getting billed for something I don't want and can't even use! I am very upset by this. They should make it much easier to cancel a subscription. It's like a scam where you can't ever cancel and just keep getting billed until you have to cancel your credit card to keep from getting charged anymore! Ridiculous!

Love all the programs but a terrible app! I paid for the ad free subscription but the shows skip every time in the spots that there would be an ad… Horrible. The email I signed up with and the email I’m paying with is entirely different than my login! The app used a family members email as the login instead of my own! It’s crazy how backwards this app is! The only saving grace is the programs.

I don't have sound using the app downloaded thru google play to my smart tv. When I access thru Amazon Fire, I have sound. Either way it seems hard to find what you want. I had one instance where I wanted to save something to my list when the item would only play, not save. Update: I unplugged tv and cable modem for 60 seconds and then rebooted. I now have sound and youtube has started working again (it had quit working after discovery installation)

This needs a few improvements to get 5 stars. First, the audio on the app only does stereo, it does not do Dolby even though the TV channel broadcasts shows in Dolby. So not only does that affect the sound quality, but the volume as well -- stereo comes through MUCH louder on fewer speakers, which means every time I switch from TV to D+, I have to lower the volume a lot, and vice versa. Second, there is no way to know when new episodes of shows in My List come out. It's as if Discovery only expects people to binge watch entire previous seasons and not keep up with the current season. Notifications of new episodes as they come out each week is a must! Third, there is no way to sort My List, it gets saved in the order that shows were added, making it nearly impossible to find anything.

Great content, HORRIBLE app. - We subscribed to this app through our Android TV device which uses a different gmail than our payment method email address. First of all, that causes issues and the login email will be different. Second, after ads play, many times the loading circle is still left on the screen even after the content resumes, forcing you to stop it, then press play again to get rid of it. - Then, if you stop near the end of the content and try to resume, it starts all over again and if you try to fast forward, if you're not surgically precise in where you resume on the bar, you will have to watch commercials again. - Which brings me to my last point... WHY are there commercials in an app we have to pay for anyway? I tried to upgrade the plan to "ad-lite" and am forced to cancel, only to be left an option to resubscribe to the SAME plan I had. I guess you have to sign up with another account if you want to change your plan.Android users cannot change their plan on the website either. I'm beginning to wonder if this app is worth the trouble at all. - Two months in and we are not very happy with the app nor the service. The content is its only saving grace at this time. I'm especially angry about the plan change issues. BEWARE of these issues if you're thinking about paying for this app!

I was able to resolve the previous problem I had with the Android TV app and have removed that review. Clearing the cache and a restart of the device resolved the issue. The app functions as it should. and my rating has been updated to note that. I wish the service also had live streams of the channels, but that's a comment of the service, not the app. The app is easy to navigate and the interface is clean.
