Don't bother with the app, certainly don't waste money with the paid add ons. They're not very stable and if you have any issues, no one bothers to help or even acknowledge your issue after you've parted with your money. Maybe the dive industry will eventually catch up to the 21st century with apps and stuff, it won't be with DiveMate though. Feel very free to dig out my detailed emails with screenshots asking for help - search by my first name and you'll find them, plus a couple of FB requests for help

Had an issue syncing my dive computer and reached out to the developer. He was able to fix the bug and update the app. After that, it worked great. I wish there weren't so many microtransactions, or it allowed me to share them with my family, but otherwise, I love the app.

I really loved this app when it was working on the initial device. I had to update my tablet and though my logs moved to new device, all the work I did taking photos with the logs as well as photos of my buddies- they're all gone on the new device... just the logs. I get it that this isn't cloud hosted but I should be able to link to dropbox or drive and still get my photos down to the new device. I keep asking for support on this but so far nobody has contacted me. So frustrating!!!

In order to factory reset my phone I have to backup my data, and that is a paid feature. Sad. Reply: It's mine but you charge to make a local backup? That's what I call double standards... If they are mine, why don't you let me back it up? So I can factory reset my phone and then restore the data. Anywho, months ago I found another app, does the same and lets you backup as much as you like.

still very frustrating app. as long as your smart phone is rooted there's no problem to save/backup the xxx.dbb file to any place you want and Reimport on a new phone. owning the transfer package it is no problem to download the dives from your computer again, but only with basic dive data's. but all your previously edited dives, incl. notes, pictures are gone. For an app without the possibility to make at least a complete internal backup it's considered as a scam. Or do I miss something?

Pretty good and versatile functionality for a portable digital log, but you may need to first purchase a support pack for your computer model. The interface is a little clunky and crowded, but it has fields for most recreational and light technical uses. I still keep a paper log as my primary, but I get my profile and air consumption from this app as my dive computer-watch does not display them.

The transfer always gets stuck at 2-4%, and then displays a connection error. Have a Cressi Leonardo, the IR cressi USB interface, a USB-C OTG adapter, and a Samsung S10, Dive computer is in PCLink mode. Tested the adapter, OTG seems to work perfectly for USB sticks or keyboard. The IR interface works perfect with the Cressi Software on Windows. It seems to be an issue in the app, which stops transfer after a few percent.

One of the better divelog apps and the one I primarily use. Some features that would make it even more awesome: 1. Add a "trip" field for dives and sub-group dives into trips in addition to just month. 2. Sub-group dive sites into region in addition to just country. 3. Possibility to set a default tank size/type 4. Possibility of picking DM from buddies catalog 5. A boat catalog similar to buddies 6. Statistics on dive sites, buddies. i.e. how many dives I have on a dive site/with buddy etc.

It's good. I like it. I don't like that you have to pay extra to export your data. It's lacks any useful analytics. Perhaps in a future release. For example, a dive log could be used to calculate a rate of air consumption which could then be compared with previous dives and show a trend indicating whether your breathing is improving or perhaps you had a stressful dive, etc... It doesnt do have any tools to track your skill progression. Oh well, still good but can't give a simple log app 5 stars.

Works well for normal use. Add-on to sync dive computers is worth the one-time fee. I've used the app for logging dives from Suunto Zoop, Mares Quad Air and Garmin Descent computers. Very convenient to have them all in one place. Support for problems (Google Drive sync problems, app crashes, Garmin issues, etc) is non-existent.

Original: Works well so far, supports my dive computer and is easy to use Now that I've been using it - upping to 5 stars. Switched dive computers (still using my original as a backup) and adding the new computer just worked seamless. Love not having to switch apps to switch computer brands. Migrating to a new device was a breeze via the g-drive exports. Really is a complete dive log - my go to log any more. Wish list for the authors, but minor points IMO. 1. some way to copy details from one dive spot to another and edit the differences rather than writing from scratch 2. Way to save dive centers / dive masters used frequently (just like saving buddies or something). 3. way to copy from one device to another off-line (no cloud).

This app is certainly better than any other dive app I've used. It has a few bugs that affect adding pictures but I was still able to get them added with some effort. At the time of this writing the full app with all features costs $27. I think this price is well deserved since the app actually works! And works well. I deffinitely recommend this for any diver looking to digitize their log records. It makes logging each dive effortless.

Works well. Does everything I need it to do, but it is still not as intuitive as I'd like. Also navigation is a little difficult at times. All features are smooth and easy, once you are where you want to be. Update: added a computer that was not listed, emailed support and they cumtomized it just for me. Can't ask for more. Was available in about 36 hours. Great customer service!

Unfortunate that you have to pay money to export the data in the app. Also, the developers are not responsive to my email requests on whether they will add more dive computers to their app. I would like to commit to this app but my dive computer is not on their supported list and unsure if it will be added later. The interface is great, but I am going to have to pay for the data pack to export my 40+ dives just once to transfer it to the Subsurface app

Pretty good for tracking data, but the entry, especially if you need to hand enter a good chunk, is pretty frustrating. Entries will zero out for no reason, and tapping on a field that's not previously had data doesn't clear the zeros that are in already (so you spend time messing with where your cursor is to delete the unwanted zeros already there) - which can drive you nuts if you've got a lot to do.

I just used this for my first trip since purchasing the app and a compatible computer (aqua lung i200c). 1st off, the app itself is awesome. I have no complaints really. The one thing I had issues with is the Bluetooth sync with my computer. I found that it was quite buggy and would sync successfully only ~20% of the time and was never successful when using the only import latest dives option. Most of the time the computer would show BT sync on the screen but it would error out in the app.

As-is. Zero support or updates. It does what it says reasonably well. There are some bugs and clunky things, but nothing fatal. I bought the full pack of extensions and they work as promised too, with again some minor problems. The bigger concern is whether to rely on an app that doesn't appear to have anyone behind it anymore. At a minimum, back up your data to a standard format for inevitable time in the future when you'll need another app to keep managing your dive records.

DiveMate is incredibly streamlined for keeping track of my dives and surface intervals. I purchased the FusionIR to be able to import doves straight from my ScubaPro Aladin One into my phone. The only reason for not giving them 5 stars is because of all of the add-on purchases to be able to unlock the back-up feature. I understand paying to unlock some of the other features that others may want but don't apply to me, but back up should be included.

I used DiveMate while on vacation. I loved how simple it was to upload the dive profile from my computer, add equipment and dive notes. The only issue I ran into was marking dive sites. My watch does not have gps functionality on it and I did not have data signal on the boat. I downloaded the map for the area from google but could not find a way to include it in the maps in the app. I just tapped the location button, said yes to the popup and hoped for the best. It worked most of the time.

While this app does what it needs to do, support seems to be non-existent even when you've paid for some of the add on packs. I was having issues exporting and importing files. The app was written with an SD card as the default destination, but my Samsung S24 does not have an SD card. I wrote the app authors but never heard back. I was eventually able to figure out how to navigate to the directory where the files were located (using a pc connected to my S24) but received no reply to my msg.
