Terrible. I made 2 appointments today. The first was ended automatically as soon as it started with no reason. The 2nd I waited for 15 minutes to then get connected with black video screen to then have that end automatically too. Waste of time. Not sure if there are better alternatives, but anything must be better than this. Especially if you value your time.

I'm working with a great therapist and I've been able, in the past, to see doctors for minor urgent issues. The availability of doctors is unbelievable. I don't wait more than ten minutes from the time I start making the appointment. It doesn't replace seeing providers in person, but as an app, it works great and has been an excellent resource Update regarding therapists: I was seeing one and he disappeared from the app. Not good for mental health patients.

This app has constant issues. Everytime I try to book an appointment lately, the app does not let me schedule. I was lucky to be able to schedule the appointments that I did last week. Now, even after force closing and clearing the cache, it's still not letting me book. I booked an appointment with one provider, and was present on time. He stood me up and cancelled AFTER our appt time. The other available mental health providers have slim to no availability. Very disappointed.

The app appears to run "work" smoothly until I needed it to work. *MAIN ISSUE: when it was time for my appointment, it didn't work. The session began, and stayed in a constant loop of attempts to join me into the session. Every time I clicked on join, it displayed an error message. This went on for 3 minutes + until I guess the provider or the app quit trying. The provider will still charge you despite the fact you didn't have a successful connection/session or actual meeting with a human.

Love the service but the app has glitches that they haven't fixed in months. For example, you can't book follow ups from the follow up reminder notices or multiple appointments at once from the calendar... it fails and gives you an error notice. You can book from the doctor option but one at a time and as if you're booking a new visit. Now I have 19 follow up reminder notices that won't clear. That's very frustrating and there's no easy way to report bugs in-app.

Super easy to find a doctor. And they have many to choose from, to help find one that you feel comfortable with. You can even set search parameters. Also how easy it is to book appointments in my availability without having to ask off work, or travel somewhere. (Except for getting lab work, imaging, ect when needed) You can easily reach out to your care team via the messaging in app. Get reminders about up coming appointments. You can link some health apps.

Has many accessible options for doctors, therapists, and psychiatrists; and accepts most insurance so if you're insured then many services are free! However, good luck if you have a connection issues, because if the call drops you will be kicked out of your virtual visit with no option to reconnect. You're only able to schedule a completely separate appointment, often days later. I would give a much higher rating if not for this issue, but I sought help and was honestly let down pretty badly.

Update: Minus two stars far lack of cutoff warning. The call literally ended while they were talking about the prescription. The provider was clearly as unaware as I was of the time. I get that there needs to be limits, but some kind of 1 minute countdown would be better than "call ended". There's no way to contact the provider via message to get any info that was cutoff either. I like the idea of the app - the convenience of choosing your doctor and appointment times without calling around various clinics is wonderful. The app could be a little better, like the back button doesn't warn in some cases that it might lose data you've entered... Also, I had the app hang when it came back from the background. Still, it does what I need.

As far as convenience, and access to health-care that otherwise may not have been possible, it's great. The 1 star are because there are issues with the app that don't seem to be getting resolved on the therapy side of the app; such as never connecting you with a provider, issues with making an appt and their response time is lacking if they respond at all. From the healthcare side, it's been amazing; from the psychology side, it's really lacking. Lately, I can't even submit a ticket to support.

I've been using this app for 5 months and my only issue up till now is how the appointment just cuts off. I just received a bill for the amount of a cancelation or missed appointment which I have never missed or canceled an appointment. The amount of stress from dealing with this is ridiculous. The billing department needs to do better. I actually have recommended this app to many people and now regret doing so. After this billing issue I will no longer be using this app.

Extremely frustrating experience signing up and trying to use this app. Website constantly says "under maintenance" when trying to verify my insurance. When I finally figured out how to schedule my appointment, the doc came on for 10 seconds before the app froze and lost connection. I waited and waited and eventually had to cancel the call because nothing improved. This resulted in me having to schedule another appointment - which means filling out ALL my data again. Awful

First interaction with this app was 0 stars. The doc couldn't figure out how to work the app and just hung up on me. Since then I've gotten a different doctor and she's been great. There's still some UI features that need work, like the keyboard not allowing any sort of autocorrect, but overall it's not terrible. Would like to see some updates and maybe more doctor options. I have no options for a male doctor.

I am sure the app is fine. My actual experience with DOD was horrible. They cancelled my appointment an hour before it was scheduled. So, I tried a different provider. I was online ready to go when from the provider end they couldn't connect. There was no trying to connect again. Not my best first two experiences. Contacted support and customer service with no reply

Experience with the doctors was great. Issues with their billing system. in my case, the system wants to double charge for an appointment, and every time i speak with someone and have it "resolved," the issue pops back up in 2-4 weeks. Reading the reviews, I'm not the only one having these issues. Update: I contacted the email as requested and billing. Both confirmed No money is owed. I still get random messages money is owed every few weeks.

I am extremely fortunate that my insurance has offered us Doctor on Demand. It's so easy and convenient to use either the phone app or my computer from the comforts of home. I used it for flu while out of state, acute mental health counseling, and medication management. It's great. My only warning is that the "cancel appointment" box is WAY too easy to touch accidentally on the phone and lose your appointment. That has happened to me while waiting for appt to start.

Takes Medicare!!!!! The Clinicians on here have saved me tens of trips to the ER (I don't have an urgent care, and it's at least a week or 2 Wait to see my primary) They are able to order labs. I find the app extremely easy to navigate. It saves everything from past visits. They provide psychiatrists and therapists. You even have the option of either setting an appointment by choosing a specific time and date, or by booking with a specific provider. I have been using for 4 years so far.

Horrible app. Opened in my phone not facing me and no way to turn the view. Provider couldn't hear me and all my volume settings were on. There is no chat function so we couldn't message. She called my cell and home but as she has a private no. Both went straight to Voicemail. She could have texted but instead took ages writing notes on paper and holding them too close and half off screen. Never again.

This is great for minor illnesses. They get you a prescription quickly for things like colds. However, I had a terrible experience when trying to use this service for mental health counseling. I made appointments with two different providers - weeks in advance - and twice the provider did not show up to our session. I waited the full hour for one so they would not charge me the cancellation fee. The second time it happened, they charged me the cancellation fee while I was in the waiting room.

I've had a plethora of issues in the 1 1/2yrs I've used DOD/IH. 1) Support messaging glitches make it hard to get in touch with support. 2) Can't contact therapists directly; you HAVE to go through support, which is an invasion of privacy if you need to send a sensitive message outside of the session, AND see #1. 3) The app malfunctions; it won't connect when your wifi and signal is perfect. End of session? It auto-ends, even in the middle of speaking. 4) Billing policies are inconsistent.

The app has a major bug after recent update: It won't use insurance information even if connected to the account. I've been charged for an appointment that should have no cost 3 separate times. Each time I call to get the charge dropped and each time they drop it and explain that this won't happen again. Next time, the same issue occurs despite insurance being up to date in app. Hundreds of dollars in charges have been made to my credit card due to this bug. I suggest trying a competitor vs DOD.
