This app is awesome. I can take low quality audio files and enhance them to make them sounds better. One thing that's annoying is the fade in that's added to my files when I save them. That's not really a big deal but I'd like to disable that. Overall fantastic so app I would highly recommend. (Update: I removed a star because the background noise feature isn't working correctly. If you can fix that I will be very happy to give 5 stars. Thank you)

This app is more of a "screwing around" or "draft/idea" affair - being a little clunky, having an amateurish interface and lacking pro level fine-tunability however, in the end, it delivers. I've found it to be excellent for putting the final touch on music that's already been mastered in more task-specific software. Using it as a sort of "mastering the final master" plugin. I'd be tempted to whine a little about its ham-fisted interface....but, it's free so I have no complaints.

App is great. Sleek and useful with lots of features. The user interface is smooth and easy to navigate. My personal favorite feature is the tone tool that allows you to adjust the treble, mids and bass of your recordings. There's noise reduction, boosts, lots of stuff to mess with. It works well with vocals as well as acoustic AND electric guitar.

This is impressive: stereo widening and tone shaping effects, an option to save as larger uncompressed .wav files, and reverting back to the unaffected file without effects at any time. I'd love more file type options, and an easier, simpler, searchable list of recorded tracks, but this makes recordings on my phone sound so much bigger and better compared to other recording apps. Unfortunately, after the first week of downloading it, I can't rename files anymore. This is frustrating.

Best duplication of recorded sound I've found for an Android voice recorder, and as someone who interviews lots of people, I've tried many apps on PlayStore. They all suck. I thought this was finally one that captured the quality I need; and it does. But it's essentially worthless because you cannot find the recorded file, and 'Save Audio' does not tell you where it's being saved or allow you to specify a save location (which for sensitive recordings is a must), besides it taking forever to export it. Obviously, this app has a very narrow use case domain, and interview recording is not in it. If the developers allow you specify where to put the file on the phone, I'd re-install it. But unfortunately, I can't use it, so I will remove it.

I would rate this a 5 on the quality of the sound because it's probably the best out of all the audio recorders I've ever used on my phone. I know this is more for recording live but if they added a couple features it would be great Mayaybe some Reverb or delay and an editing tool to cut out parts that you don't want. Other than that it's going to be my go-to app when recording ideas and anything live I do.

Essentially no options or setting choices. My phone has 3 mics, and it Dolby says it has Dolby sound so there shouldn't be any issues finding them, but there are no options fo selecting what noise cancelling settings are used. There really aren't any settings at all. And you can't use the native android shareing, which is weird. It has to export it. It looks like you might be able to to export as .wav, but you don't seem to have any options other than that and the default m4a.

Awesome quality sound is what makes this app stand out from other audio recorders. However, the fact that you cannot pause while recording is why this app doesn't have a near 5 rating. (4.7 + like its competitors). I do not use this app as my main recorder because the time it would take to go through and delete all the silences or piece together bits and pieces of 1 audio that had to be split due to inability to pause, is too time consuming.

The quality of the recording is very good. On my old Android phone, though, I sometimes get a slight pause in the recording, even if I have shut down all the other apps on my phone. The biggest drawback to this app is trying to get the tracks off the phone and onto my computer. You have to export the file from the app and that takes a long time. This step really doesn't "export" the file, it just gets it ready to upload. Even longer if your phone's screen turns off..it stops exporting. After the app finishes getting the file ready for export, there is a long upload process to Google Drive or Dropbox. Most of the time, for me, the upload fails and I have to do the export thing all over. It usually works on the second try.

Almost there.... Looking for an app connect to an external audio interface for lossless field recordings and this is very close but just barely misses the mark. It seems to be lacking some key features that I would love to see in an update... 1) adjustable sample rate and bit depth 2) stereo recording, or even better mono with the ability to choose a channel 3) flac support 4) ability to manually select device to use for recording when multiple exist 5) recording to an external device

Everyone else seems to love this app, so maybe I'm doing something wrong; however, I have found it incredibly frustrating. I am a singer and would really like to record some videos of my singing, but no matter what I try (and I've done a fair amount of research), which tools I use, how close or far I am, or what style I choose, the sound quality is absolutely horrible. My singing is garbled and tinny, while the background accompaniment (usually just a piano) sounds like it's underwater. Honestly, using my regular cellphone video is far better--at least the sound is consistent. I was very disappointed.

The app UI is very clean, smooth, visually pleasing. The ability to record video along with uncompressed audio is welcome for devices that can't natively. This is geared to be a simple solution for people on the go or unfamiliar with audio work, so I understand it's lack of manual control. However, as a video enthusiast there are some essentials that need to be included. These are: auto portrait/landscape orientation, tap to focus and focus modes, save to external storage, and exposure lock.

This has been a huge, huge help for me getting decent live drum sounds at my practice space with my cheap android phone. My biggest challenge is that after a take, the video is saved and I have to navigate a bit to delete it. If there was a 'delete' button on the thumbnail right away it would save a lot of time and arthritis, heh. But all in all I'm a fan and very relieved to have it. Been recommending it on drum forums. The exporting process hasn't been too cumbersome for me.

All the recordings I made. All gone. How is there no backup feature. I used this for recording and venting out whatever I could. I made so many over an hour long recordings. It took up so much storage. No matter what I deleted, it just wasn't enough. I had to uninstall this app. I could barely salvage few of my recordings, all of which I wanted to upload. I tried cloud storage. Couldn't upload them to cloud storage. Couldn't upload them anywhere. I just kept getting an error messages.

Absolute trash! What's the point of an app that records audio and video if you can't access your files? The default folder is nowhere to be found. I changed the export location, and found the new folder, only for it to be empty. When you record, a little circle appears when you finish. That does nothing as well. I also made sure that I hadn't denied any permissions. No files anywhere on my device. The support page was zero help as well.

It works well as an audio recording app, the UI definiely could be streamlined to cut out the bloat. Also, there needs to be a permanent toggle for the "Dolby" sound, since its on by default and makes the audio sound WORSE. Every time I want to listen to my audio clip, I need to manually toggle the "Dolby" button, it gets really annoying really fast.

I can not say it enough that this is the best recording app EVER. You can export and upload straight to YouTube. It seems to really wake up my microphone. I can now use my phone to mic my speakers for guitar I use a 100 watt amp and it sounds really good! I can't thank dolby enough for this gift. I do wish it had more features and got updated upon maybe add some mixing options to where we can drag a file we recorded. Maybe make another app for mixing!!

Does what it says on the tin. Does extra Dolby stuff (like add an echo-bit of ambience & noise reduction) the buttons are large and easy to understand what does what. If you wanna see you previously recorded tracks, there's a music note looking button in the bottom left. Finally, they fixed it, and made it just work.

Useless for what i wanted it for. Which was to test the quality of different microphones on my phone. However it will not record anything from a Bluetooth device. No headsets, earbuds, car, nothing. Not sure why they show off in their demo video recording "studio level" tracks when all they will allow you to use is the built in mic, or one directly wired in.

I like the app and use it to record my podcasts as my host recording sucks. However, audio files need to be "exported" to the device to then upload to my podcast host as the files aren't easily found or accessed on the device through the app. Editing capabilities could be better, but it is doable. It's an ok app, but extra steps are necessary depending what you're trying to record or do with your recording.
