Drone Assist is the #1 drone safety app from Altitude Angel in the UK. Very outdated code that doesn't work on modern Android versions. Even says its designed for an older version when I install. would like to be able to use it but it crashes every time I attempt to make use of it.

Terrible !!!! ... I tried login multiple times to create an account and despite typing in correct passwords it kept telling me unable to log in looks like it's git a bug in login I've given up. Unless they can show any other message to cut round it I'm going uninstall it disappointed

Much better app than airmap, it didn't bother me to supply personal data to access the software. If you're not going to fly it irresponsibly, then why would it bother you. Safety should be paramount to anyone planning to fly anything bigger than a Tello. Lots of info in this app. Worth a download.

As a drone user, this app is invaluable for all your flight preparation. From checking weather, any flight restrictions and planning ahead to help obtain permission it is all to hand in this app. Contains a huge amount of information and is easy to use and navigate around. Updated regularly with revisions and constantly improving. Cannot recommend this enough, once you submit your flight plan you get a pdf of the plan available for your records.

Failed. Does not show any zones at all. Just the map. All it is doing is alternating between "Finding location", which it is already showing accurately, and updating map. Removed and reinstalled. No change. No time in life to see if there's any effective help available. Probably not. Removing and looking for an alternative.

The concept is great in theory. I live in an area on the Surrey/London border with two glider schools on my doorstep and frequent low flying helicopter traffic. Sadly a tool is only useful if people actually use it. I've frequently seen dozens of gliders in the sky and nothing mentioned in the app. To the same token if I decide to file a report to fly over the north downs, it's completely pointless if other people in the a nearby airspace aren't alerted to the report. App also crashes a lot!

Great app for checking the weather conditions before you fly your drone. I submit my flight plans before I fly as well. It's a must have app if you fly drones.

Pretty terrible. It fails to load data half of the time and if it does, it does not display it the other half of the time. I also don't understand why you need to create an account to access the map. Appalling show from the National Air Traffic Service. (NATS) which has obviously spent the bare minimum producing this app.

The interface is unusable. Selecting regions to view information doesn't work, there is no legend to explain chosen colour coding and incessant icons clutter the map (disabling these is reverted when moving the map). As the only recommended FRZ app by the CAA, this needs to be rectified if we want to promote responsible and safe recreational flight.

It appears to be a good drone management app, but it isn't clear from the Play Store description that this app is UK-centric. This information should be front-and-center in the app description, eg. on the very first line. I'm in the US, and when I try to set up a flight, it tells me that authorization is not supported in my zone. Which means I'd have to use another app to get LAANC authorization from the FAA. So, Drone Assist is pretty useless without that.

Excellent and Highly Recommended App - Initially like the Drone Laws it can be a bit confusing and a moderately steep learning curve. Once you've grasped how to use it, it's a must have. It can be used without registering, but it really comes into its own when you start planning your flights beforehand as it's going to get you to think about and equally importantly, remember any potential hazards or if in an FRZ, apply for permission to fly. Should be added as No. 1 on any Drone owners

Works as it should and a good tool. It's designed to help you avoid airspace (areas) that you should not fly in and it allows you to share (if you choose) the location you are flying in. For all of this it seems just perfect on my Samsung S10 Plus. I cannot understand the negative comments here but most seem to be from people that fail to appreciate the purpose of this app: staying safe and legal!

Excellent app. I'm glad I used it before I took my new drone out to fly. I knew I was close to a high risk no fly zone (several actually) but wasn't sure how close. Turns out I need to travel a few hundred metres if I don't want to risk 5 years in prison. Can't fault it, the info it gives is fantastic. 5 stars - Samsung S6.

Seems impossible to register, can't get to submit email and password as the terms and conditions button it over the top of it, just gone tound in circles, hopefully somebody can help

Forces you to accept OP-ecommerce tracking etc, they give you a reject button that dont take you anywhere further and when you reload it's asked for permission again... It forced to sign up, getting user data, and when you reject tracking it's a big red flag when the app don't work, looks like a "user data mining app" where it collects all your data and sells it on to others

This stupid software does not allow to use it without giving away lots of your personal data. How weird is that. Uninstalling it right now (I don't live in UK). And continue to use AirMap which is much more user-friendly. And btw, you don't create an account you have to force close the app or restart the phone because the back button does not work.

A bit helpful but not easy to use. Map information is helpful however, knowing the no-fly zones and warning areas etc. I don't know how to start a flight. I click on top button and it's not the right one, then the other. The flight report and area report buttons in the top app bar are side by side on the app bar and not clear what each is. Perhaps use one floating action button (FAB) to start a flight and one for advice/area reports. Also, wind forecasts would be fantastic! Happy to advise devs as I'm a fellow Android app developer

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. A nice splash screen tells me this app is coded for older versions of Android and may crash. Good start. Next up is giving up your inside leg measurement just to use the app, data mining from the off. The interface is clunky and really needs a rethink on UX/UI (User experience/interface). I want to increase my status from being branded clueless, careless or criminal, this software doesn't help one little bit. Barely 2 stars. Bring the app up to date please.

Great app but doesn't work properly on Android. iOS works fine. You see a flight restriction on the map and press it and the details comes up at the bottom but this doesn't happen on the Android app or if it does it's very rarely and sporadically. Edit - all issues fixed in the latest update. Thanks 👍🏻
