Don't bother buying Ecovac brand. Their product lasted a year and then the Lidar sensor stopped working. Luckily I know how to install new parts myself. The new lidar sensor was only like 5 to 10 bucks from China but Ecovacs recommended me to a company that wanted to charge hundreds to repair it. But that isn't even what I am frustrated with. The amount of software problems is ridiculous. The interface is fine, but the amount of times I have to reset maps or today the map just vanished....

App won't let me save a floor. The bot very often can't recognize where it's at and overwrites the map and all it's settings with no way to recover it. It's upsetting. When it does work, the features to block off areas and edit are easy to use.

I can not for the life of me figure out why the app is so dumb that it can't take a whole mapped floor that it stupidly mapped at an angle and slightly adjust it so it does straight lines from wall to wall. Instead it's vacuuming angle lines making it more inefficient. If the apps too dumb to do it, at least give the option to slightly rotate the map ourselves. No idea why I bought a second one of these things knowing how bad this app is.

Same complaints as previous reviewers. It worked fine for awhile, now the app tells me I have no map but can see one on the screen. Try to make new one but battery doesn't last long enough to map house. It won't continue to map after recharging. Too bad Neato went out of business as those vacuums work better. They might got stuck but at least map and vacuum on schedule.

When it works it's nice. When it doesn't. Which is usually it makes me want to run it over with my truck. Unit has turned extremely dumb. Can't find it's location, decides it needs to remap the house. It cand clean my whole first floor on a charge which is ok, but it literally takes almost a week before I can run a scheduled program. Which that feature doesn't even work for the last 3 weeks even though my house mapped is saved. Buy a roomba or something else

Works sorta ok unless it ever gets hung up on a cable and needs to relocate. If it does, be ready for the worst pathfinding ever programmed. "Should I check to the left out of this room where I haven't checked? No, let me check to the right first even though I have 39 times already and then go back in the same room." There are so many absolutely MORONIC things it does but I don't have enough room on here. not using a map it already has to compare if it gets lost? Brilliant

App needs a firmware update so the vacuum can figure out 2.4 from 5 G signals without separating my WIFI signals.. WIFI chaos stinks just from one device... if the robot could distinguish the difference between 2.4 & 5G like other devices do... that'd be a huge plus...more details like battery power% and controls like other models... like my Dee88 ....edge cleaning...spot clean..ect...! Needless to say it was difficult setting up and less controls and a remote control in app is a downer.!

I still hate this app and ecovacs. Never buy again. Constantly disconnects from the robot. So I can't use the robot. The map constantly resets and needs to re-map the house again. So any rooms you've created are now gone. And to re-map, it has to do a full and uninterrupted clean of the entire house AND return to the charger just to save the map. There is no function to just map without cleaning. A quick remap could be done on 10 minutes. The developers force you to perform a full clean. Dumb.

The worst thing about evovacs is the app. The robots are great. But omg the app..pushes purchases on you. Absolutely zero freedom for map customization. Loses your maps. Can't save maps locally. Can't divide areas freely. Can't resize rooms. Can't merge too small of a room. App lags. Glitch since I've had it where no information updates unless you close app and reopen. Constantly asks for feedback but that solves nothing. Technical support thinks you're stupid. I could go on but limited to 500.

The app is good when it works, but every once in a while it sits in "Loading ..." without doing anything. Killing the app usually fixes the problem but not always. Happy with the product though. Update: Okay, even less happy with the app now. It started to suggest to buy a new vacuum as a deal. I didn't pay hundreds of dollars to see ads from an app that more often fails to find the unit than works. If I ever buy a new robotic vacuum (they are cool) it won't be ecovacs. Cheers.

The map needs a lot of work. Dividing lines and virtual walls are added to the map with arbitrary length and position. Both ends should always be on the visible part of the map at about half screen width. No indication is given to where doors are assumed to be when Dividing, show the doors! No ability to add / designate carpeted areas. Only 1 of 3 carpeted areas are noted as such in the map!

The map divide and merge feature for the X1 Omni is just perfect since it allows to divide a room even while intersecting dividing lines, but for the Deebot N8/N10 doesn't, you have to divide from wall to wall. Not practical for maps with a single space that holds the Living Room, Dining and open Kitchen areas. Even the X2 Omni lost this capacity and the ability to set individual preferences per room, a step backwards. The X2 should have AT LEAST the features from the Omni X1 which are great.

App can be slow/ problematic. Even worse than the reliability, I've found no real way to turn off the voice assistant...which is way too sensitive and is regularly triggered by background noise, the TV, etc. Of course the app has an option to disable the voice assistant, but really what that means is that the device still thinks you are talking to it, and instead of saying 'Sorry, I couldn't understand you.', it now tells you that the voice assistant is disabled. It's rather absurd.

Not accurate. I have been trying to connect my Deebot N79S to a different wifi for a while now. But anytime when I google it or go to the website, it tells me just go to settings and click wifi management. Well, this app doesn't have that option. You might want to update your videos on the website and Google. That way, people will not waste their time. Do not recommend it.

Constant offline issues even though the WiFi is up. Doesn't run scheduled cleaning. When run manually it will clean one room and go back the the station. When mopping it doesn't put out solution when the pads are moving. I'm going to try and return it but it's past the 30 day policy. I've tried all of the troubleshooting they provide and it doesn't seem to be helpful. It's a $1200+ unit.

Extremely unreliable. Map draws incorrectly and resets intermittently. Stops frequently and needs to be picked up and put back on the charger. Drags around anything any everything that is light enough. Can't leave it to vacuum or mop unattended, which defeats the point. Faster, easier, and significantly cheaper to Swiffer instead.

T20 Omni. Would like if there was a better way to handle problems in the app. For instance, when the brush is tangled, some control in the app to resume cleaning would be good. If it's there, it's not obvious to me. Saying "OK Yiko, Continue cleaning" causes it to terminate the room it was doing and start cleaning the whole house. It terminates the last session, so it can't resume where it was when the brush got tangled.

I own 3 different Ecovacs models. Two of them will go to the station. They try several times to enter to empty but never manage to complete it. I have to physically place them in the station. This problem starts when they are about 6 months old. The third model only has one side brush so the brush gets tangled (not pet friendly at all). and it won't continue vacuuming until it's cleaned.

Update to my previous review. The vacuum itself is inferior due to charging issues. The app is also inferior. Mapping is very difficult to grasp and get correct if you have more than 2 rooms lol. The app is not user friendly. You can get it to semi work, but never it's full potential. The vacuum itself has given me grief. Have owned mine for less than a year and it has mass issues with charging. The back area where the fresherner goes in is now getting stuck in a difficult position to rem

When I first started using this, it worked great. Now, the map gets messed up if the base station moves even the tiniest bit, which throws everything off and the vacuum gets stuck where it isn't supposed to be. The map will sometimes also completely disappear and it needs to be redone. This seems to happen if the brush gets tangled or stuck during a clean and I'm not home to fix it before the next scheduled clean.
