Great app! So many options available to download! Easy reading interface! One thing I wish is that it would save my previous reading, they tend to disappear on me. Regardless, I love the app, I've been using it for a year. And I recommend it to everyone!!

It would be a great app, just if it didn't freeze on the downloads. Meaning, once your done with a chapter and then go to the next one, but you have to close the app for some reason. You want to go back and pick up where you left at, it wont let you no more. It'll just let you listen to what you had before...

I'm satisfied with everything but I'd like to ask for the dark theme to be improved a bit. I want the letters to be a bit brownish yellowish or anything dim.. because the contrast between black background and an extreme white letters is hurting for my eyes to read at night. I appreciate so much and thank you in advance for the consideration to modify the theme. 😇

The reading is fine. But the audio was frustrating. The audio would often just stop and I would have to restart it and it would not pick up from where it cut off. It would always begin at the beginning of the chapter I was listening to.

1/21/19 Issue seems to have been fixed. Rating changed from 1* : I use to have this on my old phone and enjoyed it but now when I try to download it on my new phone it says it needs access to my personal info on my phone, my pictures and identity and my personal stored files. This was not required to use this app in the past! This is really not needed to just use this app but won't let me download without accepting so I will not be using this app anymore unfortunately because of this issue!..

I used to be able to listen to this app on my phone. Now, no sound, doesn't play at all. Took it off an old phone, won't reinstall...guess the phone is too old (not activated anymore) can't reinstall it...installed on current phone, won't play there either. Not pleased.

Most of the books and other materials don't display the front cover {images}, after downloading. Older versions did display them very nicely. For instance, quite a number of the 119 books are missing this, for example MYP. please do something.

To developers, PLEASE UPDATE THIS VALUABLE APP. Especially the search function and the ability to look up your highlights, bookmarks, etc. on drive. That doesn't work and it's so sad when you've saved so much good info. Thank you

This app is nice for new readers to EGW writings, who do not have her books and want to read them all the way through. IT IS NOT HELPFUL for those who already read EGW writings, do not own them all, and refer to them as reference items for additional readings. SDA commentaries which refer to her writings by page numbers, are IMPOSSIBLE to find in this app, in its current form. It would be much more helpful if writings could be searched by page numbers.

Super useful reference and reading app. I have a not so positive experience since mid June, however. The background data usage was turned on and used 1.5 gigabytes of my 8 gig plan. Why does the app need so much data while running in the background? Are the books being updated without my knowledge?

Love it but issues with Note 10plus and s10plus. Version 2 isn't good at all not as easy to use. Only issue with this is it wants to continually download images, just needed updating for later phones.

I loved this app till it quite working. Every time I try to use the "Search" function, it brings up a blank white screen and I can't search for anything! Can someone please look into this and fix it? Edit: I figured out that if I hit the space bar and start typing it will work and I can see the screen again. Not sure why that blank screen comes up and covers everything but I'm glad I figured out how to use the search function again.

I am not really sure what's happening to the writings of the SOP app, things have changed why it beats me. I downloaded this app but l just can't seem to get the actual books to download in the app, in the previous I suddenly couldn't search for anything. This really defeats the bigger purpose of this app. If you don't have the laptop version of these writings your doomed these apps don't work any more. And no one seems to care at all.

Bookmarks and syncing need to be fixed. I delete all old bookmarks i don't need then export but they keep coming back from other phones i have for the family out there. Also can only delete one bookmark at a time. Really hoping you can fix this. Tnx for the app, it is a blessing to have all these. I like this app better then the blue version 2. Version 2 has no way to share. Can only share from this app.

I prefer this edition over the later one because it is easier to get around in. The newer version isn't set up the same as this one. In the newer version you can't stop automatic updates; which means those in charge of the writings can not only update the app itself, but arbitrarily make "little" revisions to the text itself. With this version you have a choice. Also this version doesn't have the Great "Hoax" [Hope] in it; which is a neutered version of "The Great Controversy".

Update Aug 2022: Unfortunately this app has become practically unusable. Uninstalled. -- Awesome and amazing that Mrs White's books are now available and free for all!! Just one thing: search functionality is very limited and sometimes doesnt work at all. You can only search in the book you're currently reading. If possible, make keyword searches universal

For an older version, this app is truly deteriorating in every way, now when you search for a phrase in quotes it does not come up but the phrase will be there, if you go to the book the phrase is there. If the app is idle and you go back to it, it loses the page and book you were on. This very frustrating indeed can support do something about this on Android.

Great App. This version is way better than V2. Unlike V2, it actually keeps the titles I give each highlight, bookmark or note. It also keeps them in the order I set them in. Still wish it were possible to share notes with other EGW app users though.

Great book options, but app could use some work. Can we get an option on how we hear the book on audio? I don't want the app to automatically direct me to the recorded audio, but rather give the option of the recorded version or the complied TTS version my phone can provide. Also the TTS audio option keeps shutting off while reading in the app. Can you fix this?

Very clunky. Bookmarked pages can be difficult to find. Bible texts can be read from within the app if you've downloaded a Bible, but once you go to the Bible (eg to read the context), there is no way back to the EGW page you were reading. The app supports highlighting, but although a menu item pops up occasionally to remove a highlight, it doesn't actually work, so highlights are essentially permanent.
