More About EGW Writings 2

Ellen G. White is the most widely published Seventh-day Adventist author. Her ministry spanned 70 years, from 1844 until 1915. Guided by the Holy Spirit, she exalted Jesus and pointed to Scripture as the basis of one's faith. Ellen White wrote on a wide variety of spiritual and practical topics, from spiritual, to health, education, ministry, financial and marital advice. Her best known most translated work is Steps to Christ, followed by the 5 conflict of the ages series: Patriarchs and Prophets, Prophets and Kings, Desire of Ages, Acts of the Apostles, and The Great Controversy. Ellen G. White is also credited as the co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This would get 5 stars if the data were saved on external memory. It is now 2 years later and although there is a choice to install it on external memory, it does not work even with a fresh install. It is buggy at times when listening to the audio and will stop on its own and later in the day it will begin reading on its own even with the app closed. Love the content. Keep with it since this is still a great app in spite of the small quirks.

This is such a great app for using Mrs. White’s writings. It does crash or not open occasionally but I don't know if that's the app or my phone. It can be difficult to search if you don't know the abbreviations. Would love more flexibility with the audio but overall very good. Love the ability to sign in and have a study center where I can save items!

I truly cherish this app. Having all of the spirit of prophecy books at my fingertips is priceless. I love that I can highlight and save special passages in the study center. The search feature allows me to look up hard to find passages for which I can only recall a word or phrase & this is one of the things I truly appreciate about this app. Once in a while, it may freeze but it's never a huge issue and doesn't last for long. The daily subscriptions are a plus. Very easy to use & nicely done.

I use this app almost exclusively for the audio books on my Android S9. This newest app version is way better for this purpose! When you close the app, you no longer lose your place, because, when you go to your listening history and select a book, it will resume playing wherever you left off. My only recommendation for improving is to make it so you can close the app and still have the audio running in the background, controlling it from the notificats menu. Overall, great update!!!

I love this app as a resource! However, I have to give it 3 stars because of some HUGE bug issues that NEED to be fixed. 1. Whole sentences and sometimes paragraphs are missing at random intervals as you read through books on the phone app. For some reason the computer version does not have this problem. 2. When I highlight or note something on my phone app, it does not save it to the computer version even though I am logged in with the same account. This makes study inconvenient.

This app meets most of my expectations. It is certainly better than the previous one and its search function works much better. The ability to bookmark and also save highlighted references so I can easily find them and return to them later is very good. The only drawback I have discovered is there is no way that I found so far to bookmark the audio books to go back later and continue listening where I left off. When I reopen the app it wants to start at the beginning of the chapter

I absolutely love this app. Great inspiration at one's fingertips. It has a great number of options for highlighting, note taking, referencing, search...I have hardly scratched the surface. The only thing I have not discovered...is how I can remove a highlight. I like to color code my topics, and once in awhile, I would like to change a choice to a more appropriate choice.

Content and selection is good. I enjoy reading from the numerous options. One inconvenience is the highlights and bookmarks do not stay put. When I want to save my spot for next time. I place a bookmark, so I can pick up where I left off, only to find it missing next time I read. I also like to highlight certain good points, but those disappear too. So inconvenient and annoying.

I enjoy the app with one very annoying exception; when I try to push play on any of the books the play button is so close to the scroll bar that you end up fighting that for an endless amount of time it seems before you are able to catch the play button just right. Highly annoying. If they could fix this issue I would appreciate it. Update: 7-24-19 Thank you for fixing the issues! I appreciate it.

A great app for personal study! I just wish the search functions weren't so specific and would be able to find something when you can't quite remember the wording used. It also needs some improvement on how to access the audio functions, both to start listening and to be able to skip ahead or skip back 10 or 15 seconds during playback or to be able to slide to a specific spot in the track. Also, it has been crashing a lot lately and the last two items available in the library refuse to download.

Great app, i enjoy using it. I was reluctant at first because i liked the other one but this one is great. Two things i wish can be improved are: I miss the ability to select an entire paragraph just by tapping the sentences like in the old app. And i wish in searching you can select the specific book that you want to search in (maybe it's there but i haven't figured it out) Keep up the good work 👍

*** I hate the newest update! Now I can't use the Table of Contents in any book. The back arrow exits completely out of the book, instead of back to the Table of Contents. Also, the scroller bar at the bottom of the page is useless for cell phone users. Additionally, the scroller bar device to choose the layout view (of book titles) is nearly impossible to use on a cell phone. I love, love, love this app. It's so helpful to personal Bible study to have access to all her writings. Thank you!

I love this app!! I own quite a few of Ellen White's books, but definitely not all. And it's nice when having my devotions to have access for research. I love the Audiobooks section. My suggestion for something that needs to be worked on is this, it would be nice to have a selection of the Bible Audiobook that read the scripture without saying the number before each verse. I like to listen while I drive and it's distracting when they say the number before reading the verse, it doesn't flow.

App nicely allows access to the writings of EGW, and also allows public domain Bible versions to be integrated into the app. The UI is tricky so be sure to read the app info. The slider at the bottom is for sliding through the headings and chapters, not for controlling playback of the reading (so embarrassed). Slider is nearly useless on small screen - probably better on larger phones.

v7.0.1 is really, really good. I just upgraded a few days ago, and all the previous complaints appear to be addressed. (I haven't been able to test the sync between multiple devices in a while, so no comment on that...) I do have a new gripe, though: I used to be able to make and copy a huge selection, with the URL, without issue. Now, it copies a subset of the selection, adds ellipses, and the full URL. I would really like an option to restore the previous behavior, even if not the default.

This was undoubtedly the most difficult version of the EG white app that I've ever seen. Very difficult to navigate through. Searching for a certain passage or quote is very difficult and confusing. The older version really was much better and it's a shame that it wasn't updated to be used with these newer phones. I don't rate this at all. Very good.

I would gladly award a 5 Star rating even though have some improvements have been made to make navigation easier, the app is still lacking. The search section needs to be updated. A timer should be added with increments of 10 minutes up to 60 minutes. Just like the "Bible is " app. The smokers female voice T.T.S. needs to change to a more human- like voice.

This is a terrific app in so many ways. It has lots of material to look over, and it all fits on a smartphone! My drawbacks are that when I go on the main website, the highlighting should show up there as well as in the app. Also, when I do an update, my downloads should stay downloaded. I have had the app delete the data once in awhile.

With the newest update it continuously pops up every time I enter the audiobook section with asking to update my downloads but never updates anything. Still, after these past few years, the app still does not allow me to sign into it and it does not remember me. Maybe there is something it needs from my settings (which everything is set to high security and anonymity so maybe something to do with that). I sent requests for help a few years ago (same phone) but never received a response.

This app is very simple but extremely useful. I love the search feature and the cloud feature. Each update gives you more features so I'm glad they are continuously improving. I have been using it for over 2 years. It gives you the entire collection of EGW at your fingertips. My only sole gripe is that you can't modify the audio to read at faster speeds. My preferred listening rate is 2x or 3x and neither are available. Once they provide this feature, I will update my review to 5 stars.
