I downloaded the emby server to view my videos on my fire stick and didn't work I tried 100 times and nothing, after I created the account and add the videos, I downloaded the app in the firestick and it didn't want to login using the same user and password of the account created, I don't know what is going on. Help please.

Purchased the unlock and try to watch a movie on my Nvidia shield and it tells me that I need to unlock. I click unlock and it gives me an error stating that I already own this and will not unlock to allow me to watch a movie. Tried to get a refund but there is no refund option. I just lost my money for something that does not work with no way to get it back. What a waste!

Bought the unlock, played fine on my one tv. The other tv still displays the annoing message "premiere devices limit reached". I tried logging with the same google accout I purchased it from to unlock, tried restore unlocd says "no u lock purchased". I am done with emby, lost all my respect. This is huge annoyance dealing with these unlocks and payments and what not just to watch tv shows. I am done. Back to plex it is.

When I am scrolling on my phone it won't let me scroll continuously. It jumps back to the first collection of movies on my screen. Is there a reason why ? Woops. Nevermind. Lol I was using this one on my phone. I installed the Emby for android just now. Works great. Lol 😆 #woops

This is a great app. I think that there must be some confusion here. Remember that the Shield Emby app is a client. There needs to be an Emby server app somewhere on the network. I am running the server on my iMac. I run it over wi-fi and Emby runs anything I throw it. Makes Kodi seem archaic.

Dreadful. Keeps pinging back to the top left when trying to scroll through content, so you try to search instead and it inflicts voice search on you which when you cancel brings up a text box covering the whole screen.

As a long-time Plex server/app user who has recently switched to Emby, their software works great. I made the switch once they supported hardware accelerated HDR color mapping since many of my clients are not UHD, and need conversion. Emby puts MY MEDIA first unlike Plex, which shoves their online content in your face every chance they get, all the while ignoring issues from paying users. Recently, Emby wasn't showing movie/TV trailers on my Nvidia Shield TV 2019 model. I googled it, found a thread where someone posted the issue, where the Emby devs saw it, responded and fixed it promptly and it's now working. I'm running the server on Unraid in a docker with clients running on everything from web browsers, android and ios phones, and android/ios based dedicated streaming clients, and it just works. Bravo!!!

I was using jellyfin and it was great, but I had some technical issues, and simply didn't have time to troubleshoot. I don't like some aspects of plex. Emby has been great! I love that you can restrict content per user based on a whitelist of tags. That means I can tag the kids content and only that will show up on their profile. Jellyfin can only blacklist tags, so I have to tag all the non-kids content, and anything I miss shows on their profile. Emby can also blacklist tags if you want.

No dts passthrough on sony tvs since sony firmware does not report its capacity properly to the app. please let users override what app thinks is supported because it can be wrong and hides the passthrough option completely from the user from even selecting. Also please improve subtitles style on both android and android tv. They work but are def. look poor.

The app itself works very well and I like using it. The only thing that doesn't work for me is closed captioning. This doesn't work on my Pixel 7 and it doesn't work on my Google TV (with Chromecast). It would be a 5 star if CC worked. CC works fine when I'm viewing in my Chrome browser.

I love the interface, but all of my content is stored in .iso files, which don't seem to have stable playback support. DVD .iso files sometimes play, but can be choppy, and Blu-Ray .iso files won't play all. Is there any chance of this working properly in a future release. I'd hate to have to convert my entire video collection to .mkv due to the time involved. Currently I use Kodi for playback from my Emby server, and that works fine.

Please fix resume. Pause, come back 10 min later, and resume simply doesn't work. It's crippling. Never seems to remember where playback stopped. Pages don't update with the correct resume point. You guys must know this. Fast forward doesn't work. Just stops playing. Really poor

This is app is fantastic. I use it on a daily basis and it has helped me cut the cord from expensive cable and satellite services. I can watch and share my own content.

I'm wanting a DLNA server for an Android TV box to serve videos to my LAN. I do not want it accessing the web at all. So I found the IP address of the TV box, entered that, went to go to the next step and it sat there doing nothing. I let it sit there quite a while, doing nothing, not moving onwards towards setting up a media server.

A lot of bugs. For example this is the only app that messes with Bluetooth whenever it's run, my TV doesn't recognize connected Bluetooth headphones, the start/pause button on my headset doesn't work. Guess what, if I exit the app, then everything is working properly. One more, If I stop a movie and there's another recently played movie then it will disappear, ok, you can restart the app and both movies will appear in the recently played movies section. And they want me to pay for Emby Premium?

Worked great for about a year, then stopped playing the last several minutes of TV episodes. Audio keeps playing, but the picture freezes and it won't seek forward. Tried restarting the app, rebooting the box, clearing cache, etc. I paid for this app and now it doesn't even work. Will be switching to Jellyfin if this remains unfixed.
