Worthless! And their customer service is even worse! After linking trips, the app couldn't produce a QR code for travel so I had to purchase paper tickets for 2 separate trips. Asked for a refund and their "customer service" said it showed that trips were used... then why did I have to buy paper tickets to travel?! Then, they asked for screenshots from 2 weeks ago... ugh. Worthless. Do not use this app. Just buy paper tickets once you arrive. So much easier and not as stressful!

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. We just finished *today* using a 5 day multiple country pass. It was extremely easy to use, and it saved me on multiple occasions where we missed a train for whatever reason and needed to catch the next one. Also helped big time when navigating in countries that had languages I didn't speak. This app was amazing. Now the only downside was there were occasions where a train might come a little later then was listed on the app, but just gave extra time

Some parts of the app are really simple and easy to use. However if you need to book reservation on a train you apparently have to go to another site. Would be nice they provided a link but they don't. So much potential but only partially realized. It actually will not even let you book a trip without a reservation. This app is complete BS provides no value makes a Eurail pass virtually worthless I am so disappointed that I ever purchased it and got suckered into this pass DON'T DO IT!!!

Used in August for 5 days, w. first class pass. Loved the offline app search, very convenient. Great value for travelling long distances. Disliked that often I still had to go to other websites or to the train station to finalize my trip, eg reserving a couchette. Also don't like that if I want the paper pass option, it takes 6 WEEKS to get it, despite high shipping cost. BTW: Highly recommend getting 1st class pass, much less hassle with reservations, much more space.

I have spent hours trying to figure out how to connect my trip to my pass. read "work arounds" which apparently no longer work. just 1 button is needed. since cant connect a trip to get ticked this seems like a waster $2000! No response to email either. I have used this in paper form many times over the years with no problem. they need to IMMEDIATELY fix the problem so I can use it in a couple of days! But since this was a problem 10 months ago too, not likely.

It's good because it easily lets you see all the trains and routes you can take. However, you can't login to an account to see routes and reservations you already have. Also, if you "add a journey" and then "Open My Trip", your journeys are not saved. There is very limited utility if you are trying to plan ahead of time for an extensive trip. I just took screenshots.

The app always plans the most obtuse route to your destination. To circumvent this, you must spend a frustrating amount of time manually making and reserving your seats. This wouldn't be an issue if the search bar was more intuitive and you didnt have to repeatedly "guess and check" for the departure dates. The alternative to this is wasting the time of the clerks at the station. Please improve the search function on this app. Sometimes you are in too much of a rush to use this time sink.

It works ok, it doesn't crash but could use some improvements. To get your pass barcode up when the inspector comes takes can take literally forever sometimes as it'll freeze up if you go through a network change (i.e. a tunnel) anytime in the 30-60 seconds it takes to load up the pass screen. The widget, which does sometimes have useful information doesn't work 90% of the time. Practically as soon as you get on the train it stops displaying your ride and doesn't have the "show ticket" button.

Pretty confusing. My husband and I each have the app loaded on our phones but the same trip/train number shows different departure times. We have the same version of the app. My timetable says last updated 9/15 but his says updated 9/23. I cannot figure out how to get my timetable to update. When I go to the app store, it just has an Open button with no ability to Update. I'm nervous about uninstalling and re-installing because I don't want to lose my pass number and all my trips. Frustrating!!

I've used this for one full day of travel so far. Initially it worked great, but then one of my trains was cancelled. I think it would be very beneficial if this app were able to send you a notification if there were any issues with your train schedule. A second issue I've had is that it doesn't show all the possible routes. For example, I'm trying to get into Füssen or Hohenschwangau to visit some castles but those stations won't show up.

The more I use it the worse it gets. Have used the new app extensively last 6 weeks. Over 60 trains. So far issues I have encountered 1) updates wipe out history and future travel plans. 2) missing stations and trains 3) no link to seat reservation system from planner 4) via option but no avoid option 4) algorithms that take you hours and miles out of the way from origin to destination. Build your own routes if more that two train changes. Developers clearly do not actually use the app.

The app works fine but the ergonomics are not perfect. When I want to add a journey to a trip I don't want then to tick a box to create a train ticket and then go find it it somewhere else. It is unnecessarily complicated. The easiest way is to add a ticket button for each journey in the My Trip section. I would like a train number search function like the old SNCF app has as sometimes it is easier. 2nd comment would be to improve its functioning offline.

Can't plan a trip more than 1 stop. They ask you "where to next" which means last time I looked, what your next travel leg is. But they do not provide a way to actually input the next leg. Pretty basic for a train travel app, right? Can't do it. Broken. Buggy in general. Some links don't work. Flashy presentation though!

The app is not intuitive in terms of connecting trips to your pass. It took lots of time trying to link legs of our trip to the pass. When I couldn't accomplish that and a conductor asked for our tickets, I explained that I couldn't get the trip connected to our passes. He tried for quite awhile and couldn't do it. Later, he brought another employee to try. She finally got it done, but it took her a long time. It shouldn't be that hard. Schedules are not necessarily current.

Terrible experience all around!!!! App is not intuitive at all. Search function requires exact spelling so if you are not German you will likely experience issues without a map directly infont of you. Customer service is severely lacking. No in person locations exist, no phone number, no chat, you must wait on e-mail responses from multiple different people which leads to flip-flopping on how they will resolve your issue. Like I said terrible all around.

The use of this app to make train travel is NOT intuitive for American visitors. Passes have to be added, Trips entered and journeys added. I still don't understand the difference between a trip and a journey. It's very complicated and there is no explanation of how to do it step by step. If you don't do things in the proper sequence, you will be charged a fare by the conductor even though you've already bought a pass, like I was. I will probably avoid train travel on any future trips.

The app is a bit clunky and confusing. would be nice if the booked seats were integrated into this app but everything is a separate. All of the routes that we took were additional charges for seats and we would have been better off just booking directly with the individual carriers at the end of the day...

Very unintuitive. Missing a lot of information about train arrival times and stations. We had to go to the station a head of time to book seat reservations. The scan codes provided won't even get you through the gates to the station. It advertises to be more comprehensive than it is which is dangerous for foreigners. If you are considering downloading this, be careful and plan your trips online. I don't know if anything better exists, but don't trust this app

Garbage app. Might be OK for route planning only if you are already in Europe and a day or two from travel, but if you're trying to plan ahead and counting on the Eurail discount, forget it- the schedule is unreliable, and the discounts are essentially non existent. The app itself is completely frustrating and non intuitive and impassioned to simply book any seats from the app itself. Don't waste your money on the Global Pass either- so far, we've paid regular fare for 3/4 of our trips.

The app regularly redirects to the website, which frequently doesn't work well, and isn't fully compatibile with the app - trips created on one don't always transfer to the other. The app also didn't work properly with the paper pass that I bought through Renfe, which was extremely confusing. It also regularly recommends exchanges between trains of only a few minutes, without providing other options that will actually be possible in the event that the first of the trains is delayed.
