I rarely give things 1-star & honestly don't like doing it, but I use Evoke often or I did, to restore old photos for people just to give them a quick look what I could do in Photoshop with a bit more work. I had to restart my phone just & when I went to load a photo into Evoke to restore it, & it won't allow me. I tried a few other photos & got the same results. I'm sure the devs will tell me like they've told many others that they'll forward this to their "team" whatever that means.

I tried the free version to see its quality of picture restore and found it completely useless. Do not waste your time or money on this app. It is not worth your time to install.

this app has brought back pictures that I thought could never be restored!! I am thrilled to see my brothers face again who died in 1999, thank you for this app :-)

This app made the image worse. I have 50yr old photo that is faded. The enhancement feature wasn't available The descratch just pixelated it The color enhancer was just a blue wash that darkened the photo to unrecognizable.

I have downloaded the Evoke Al Photo Enhancer. And done give my card info.. Just a few minutes ago. And it is not working. So I want to cancel my subscription. IT says I can cancel anytime. But doesn't give me anything to show how to cancel..

This used to be my go to app for clearing up blurry photos but since the update it's horrible, actually makes the photos more blurry. I don't know what happened but don't waste your time downloading

Initially I was very pleased with this app, so much so I bought the full version. Now I am out $88.47 CA. While using this app on more complex photos I discovered some extreme flaws. Skin tones were off, blue skies looked layered, clothes would change color, and hues were off using the colorise function. The scratch removal tool didn't do much better. In one case, rather than remove some very minor stratches the eyes of person were completely blotched out.

I only just downloaded this app and right away I had the same problem as I do with all the apps, all I wanted to do was colorize a photo but the first hurdle I had was to enhance the photo. If the photo was already clear then enhancing it would only distort the photo which is what happened, thus nullifying my need to colorize. I need to choose what I need to do from the start.

Pixel reducer, decolorizer and erases faces. Descratcher erases faces. Does the opposite of what it claims. And after paying 66$ they wanted an additional 10$ to render an AI avatar properly! I hate wasting money and not finding a use; but I do not even want it on my phone. Regular avatars either bring back an error or a face that looks nothing like yours.

I would have had better results using Google photos magic eraser. Not impressed. Edit: Adding stars after communicating with Guru AI Lab. They seem very dedicated to their work and I appreciated their willingness to listen to the end user. I plan on keeping an eye on this app's development and will update my review accordingly.

I downloaded this app because of the good review and it does a decent job. But what I don’t understand is that if you make us watch an add for every step of photo processing, why is there a big fat watermark? There are plenty of free apps out there where if you watch an add, you can process photos without any watermark 🤔

The app does a nice job of doing what is says it can do. The free to try requires / forces the viewing of adds after a few free picture restores. These adds are typically game demos, where some of them appear to download automatically, without agreeing to the download. Some other photo restore apps require immediate payment without allowing a free try to see what the APP can actually do.

Make no mistake, this is a paying app. It does work and sometimes quite successfully. Rather than complaining about ads, I think it should just be made clear this is an app which requires you to pay. You have the option not to pay cash, but you're going to pay with lots and lots of time. The attempt is to irritate you into pain because it's pretty much unusable under the ad format. They never offer it for free. You can pay or you can watch a bunch of ads that are extremely intrusive.

A recent ad for this app that I've seen making the rounds features a scratched vintage photo of a black female. The filters not only remove the scratches, but narrow the nose, widen the eyes, and affect the mouth shape (all features often criticized by bigots). The end result is NOT a clean photo of the original woman. This is not a good app to use to restore ACCURATE vintage pictures of family.

Not worth my time anymore. When I first downloaded the app it worked amazingly well, yeah I had to watch an ad to edit some pictures but that wasn't an issue, now that doesn't even work, I click the button and it just continuously loads and nothing happens. And the ads are a lot longer now than they were when I first downloaded the app.

While the app is impressive, especially for photography enthusiasts and those keen on restoring old photos, I've noticed a commonality in their layouts. Despite offering slightly varied looks and themes, they essentially perform the same functions with similar pricing structures. The end results are generally good, but the upfront pushy ads can be off-putting before you can fully assess your liking for the app.

I'll give this app a 2 star rating for the remake me AI feature. It is the only part that is any good. You have to pay to upgrade to Premium to get good quality and for restoring old photos it is absolutely NO GOOD. I downloaded it for the restoration feature and it gave the faces a totally different look than the originals. The descratch and colorize feature is a 1 star

Doesn't do as advertised. I had a military portrait from 1945 that was water damaged and the program didn't even try to make it work. I can do much better by hand with Photoshop but I was trying to save time... Guess I should have known better. There are no tools to fine tune... Just a single button and slider... The colorization is just a big fat lie.

The app lacks imagination. The avatars never resemble the original picture of the person. I purchased it outright. I will not do this again. General note: As I have looked through the comments and ratings for various programs including this one, it amazes me that there are any problems associated with programs at this point in history. The ability of LLMs, large language models, to generate code on the fly, should make it incredibly easy for any colder to eliminate any and all problems ...
