Overall good aoo with good functionality. Personal preference here but I'd like a better set of icons in the bottom task bar, to me they look a bit dated but it's far from an issue as everything works well from a functionality perspective.

I understand this is basically a PWA wrapper, but adding full featured calendar and contzcts would be fantastic. A calendar widget and the ability to sync those items without DAVx would be a great upgrade. Perhaps an in-app purchase, or even a separate "pro" app would be worth paying for.

Good app, but not good enough as it it dose not support text reflow and you can not set a default zoom level so most emails are hard to read because of the small font size and punch to zoom is not good enough since it requires me to keep scrolling left and right to read the email!! Uninstall and sticking with the good old HTC Mail which supports text reflow since so many years ago!

Overall a decent email platform. User interface on the app is friendly as well. Infact, I liked it so much I decided to be a paid subscriber. One negative on the app: DOESNT NOTIFY WHEN I GET NEW EMAILS! It's been on/off and unreliable. It's been having this issue for several iterations of updates!

It somehow never occurred to me that Fastmail might have an app. I'm very happy with it. One of the best parts is that it clears the notifications almost immediately if you mark new emails as read from another device. But it does everything else well too. I'm not a heavy email user on my phone, but I do want to be able to see emails as they come in, and it works very nicely for that.

very buggy at this point. older version was more stable. Version 2.0.1, which I have, is still very buggy, and the claims of bug fixes are false. Update 2/4/19: Version 2.1.0 from today still fails to fix the notification problem. Clicking on the notification takes me to the inbox, not the correct e-mail as advertised. Notification never goes away until I manually swipe it. Basically defeats the purpose of having a notification. Customer service people appears to be in denial regarding this botched roll out of this supposedly "improved" app.

I personally like the new app design for the phone as well as the browser from a pc....having unread filter is a lifesaver for me to catch up at times. Appreciate the investment by the team. Yes, with something new there is inevitably some bugs to squash and there are some other features still out there to tackle like some offline viewing ability but hopefully there is a road map for that type of function.

This is the only email app i've seen that actually provides access to ALL the same features as the web interface which is fantastic! Unfortunately it's also completely useless if you have no internet connection - can't sync mail for offline, no calendar alerts offline, nothing. App would be five stars if offline worked but without that it is majorly lacking. UPDATE: two years later and still no offline support. :(

I have submitted 5 bug reports for this app, and not a single one has been implimented, despite the developers claiming they were able to replicate my issues. They definitely have a single person working on this app. Great customer responsiveness, but zero follow through. This app desperately needs an update. It needs customization options for the bottom toolbar. I have several folders I would like to switch between quickly. Notes app / calendar tabs should be able to be disabled.

If you have a fastmail account, this is the best way to read email on the service. Why? Because uses the built in fast search. This client will also follow settings you have set in the web client. Notifications suck in this client. I frequently get a new mail notification in the client, click on it to launch the app... And the new mail isn't in the list. Until I refresh the list. Or, I see a notification for a message I already read and deleted.

Used to be awesome but the recent UI changes have broken really basic functionality. Things moved or arranged haphazardly, you can't download attachments directly from an email anymore (you have to save it to their file service then download from there). I have used this service for a long time and have had no complaints before now. Like another reviewer mentioned, though, we are paying for this. It is inexcusable to break the user experience of paying customers in frankly baffling ways.

I realize a lot of effort has been put in developing this new UI but personally I find the old one was functionally way better. The icons seem small, the footer bar just takes space and overall the color scheme is faded, making it harder to read text or distinguish the icons at a glance. Great e-mail service, lousy app update... and please DO NOT jut ask me to send an e-mail with suggestions, be proactive and come up with a better UI or give users a way to revert to the old one!!!

New UI Excellent. Can now open attachments. Date on calendar selection, a fine addition. App executes faster. No crashes, lockups or other. Emailing websites to email work very well, includes subject and link. One area that need tweaking is when forwarding messages. It is not clean and often jumbled info to forwarding recipients. Overall, solid improvements to the app.

I mostly like the app, but it has one huge problem and needs some minor tweeks. The most glaring problem is the need to purchase and use another app to sync my contacts. That app is complicated and occasionally fails with an error. The minor issues are with the calendar. There is no today button, so I'd your looking at future dates. There is no today button to take you back to the current date. The other improvement I would like to see is the face of the Fastmail icon changed to show the date.

I enjoy the simple interface and ease of use. One option would be nice, to be able to delete a message without having to resort back to the inbox as opposed to deleting within the message itself. Even with the new version the swipe to delete is lousy and you need to completely swipe for the message to delete properly without reaapearing. Also the swipe to delete needs to be smoother.

The App was crashing about a month ago, however, after having several discussions with support, it is likely my phone or settings within the phone. The problem went away by itself, so to speak, so I am not sure exactly what caused it as I did not make any active changes. Support was knowledgeable and went beyond standard information and fixes that seem the endpoint for many customer service representatives. I have been using the service for years and this was the only issue I have had

New app crashes constantly. I've been using Fastmail for years and I appreciate the newly redesigned Android app. Unfortunately, it's nearly unusable: it crashes every few seconds even after uninstalling and reinstalling. I run it on Samsung Galaxy Note 9. UPDATE 1: The app no longer crashes. must have been fixed by a recent update. I give it 4 stars now instead of 2. UPDATE 2. March, 2020. Love the newly designed app. I've tried many different email providers and apps. Fastmail is the best.

This app has a great user interface. It is so straightforward and intuitive to use. And it is organized much like the online web interface, having virtually all the features that the web interface has including all settings for my account. I like that the calendar and contacts is integrated, rather than being separate apps. I also find it to be very fast and responsive. After using this for a while I'm definitely considering switching away from Gmail.

I've had Fastmail subscription for about 10 years. So I was excited to find this app and install it on my Android 7.1.1 phone. Unfortunately, it rarely works. It constantly freezes up on me. Also, when reading an email from my inbox, the further i scroll down while reading, it starts to become more narrow. Too many other weird bugs and glitches. Most the time, i get so frusterated trying to use it, I just end up waiting till i get home to check emails on my PC. This App needs A LOT of work!

Never had any issues with the app's performance, it does everything that the web interface can do, and it's been a solid experience. I wish the "location" field in calendar events had a way to look up a location similar to how Google Calendar's app does. Also would be nice to not need DAVx5 to sync contacts/calendars to my device (pixel 6 pro). Outlook has a setting that can enable syncing such things to the device within the app.
