It's a great app and the features are amazing. I have recommended it to many people and even they say it's great. It would be five stars but the reference pitch for the pro tuner is not working. When I try change it from 440 to 427 (like for dimebag tuning) it just doesn't work. Otherwise, it's a pretty good app and would recommend.

Seems like an incomplete attempt. When tuning, the circle which tells you whether you're flat or sharp disappears at critical times. When it disappears, the "tuning circle" is annoyingly replaced by an image of a black guitar pick with the word Fender on it, often when you most need to see whether you've achieved your pitch target or not. Nonetheless if you wait, most of the "tuning circle" returns...

AAAAA+ Best free tuner app out there. Accurate, easy and fun to use. Intuitive interface. I like the metronome and built in rhythms way better than I expected. Quality sounds didn't fatigue my ears and kept me playing longer. Helped me generate riffs and song ideas the first time I used it. Such a cool and unexpected surprise. Highly recommended. Way to go Fender.

When it works, it's great. I actually use this more than any other source to tune my electric guitar, BUT. When it doesn't work, it is so frustratingly bad that I question my purpose on this earth. Half the time, the app doesn't recognize what it's hearing over the microphone, so I sit there like an idiot playing my B string for three minutes while the app just sits there and thinks. The other half of the time, it confuses one string with another, and tells me to tune down my high E to a B.

Works good for my old 77 Yamaha FG 335, and my Strat. Great little tuner for out and about, because we all always have our phones with us. It is one less thing I have to lug around now. Only problem is it picks up back ground noises. It doesn't have to be silent, but it needs to not have much noise for it to work 100% as intended. But not a deal breaker at all.

Works just fine, offers variable options on the auto tune to stick darts into some random tuning. In app purchases, but it isn't as needy as I thought it would be. Earned fender a first look for the next gear purchase on acct of it, so win win I suppose. Word of warning, if you're the type that is used to watching lines and bars move, the auto tuning process might throw you off a bit. Just a quirk tho, pretty easy to get a handle on it all around.

Forget the great tuner. The chord finder, drum machine and metronome make this a great app for any beginning or intermediate player. I was totally taken by surprise the first time I found out that I could preview chords by strumming the app interface. I am very pleased that this app is so robust and that it actually appears to be free. No issues at all on my S10+. Hats off to Fender.

By far the best tuner I've used. With both a metered reading and an audible option, it's a cinch to get it in tune, quickly and accurately. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, it's not available on my Fire tablets, and the tuners in that app store suck compared to this one. But this one works great on my phone, so I'm good. Plus, it's free!

I'm not sure why there's so many people that don't like this app. I'm a bass player, and yes it's not the best for that, especially the low B string, but the app that has so many other things from rhythms to teaching scales and chord patterns just to break the monotony of what I'm used to doing, and the interface is clean and easy to navigate. Great job Fender as always. Love my Precision, love my jazz, love of the bass.

Great functionality. Poor accuracy. I tuned down a half step and had to adjust 3 strings to bring it into good tune. Then adjusted back up to 440 and exaxtly the same thing. Each time the 2nd 3rd and 5th strings were out. Close but not good enough to play with the band or solo. I am keeping this app though because making a fine adjustment is not a problem for me. Ive been playing for 43 years. If you are a beginner you should use this app for options and Guitar Tuna for accuracy.

Very intuitive to use. I like that it also includes alternate tunings like drop D and others. Once in a while the auto tune function gets weird- it doesn't recognize the note you're trying to reach and it tries to tune you to the note for the next string up or down, which is the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. It's still my preferred tuner most of the time.

It works, but only sometimes. It doesn't pick up the E string on my bass so I have to play it relatively loud. It does cause my phone to have issues as well; after I start the app, my phone will lag and certain functions will stop responding normal so I need to restart my phone. When I tried to uninstall it, I also had to restart my phone because the app got stuck. Super cool features, needs better work with the bugs.

It works. If you think you are James Taylor and you want to reinvent the wheel or you make weird stuff that requires precise quartertones or some such, Fender Tune is not for you. There is little in the way of a data readout and no bells nor whistles. But if you want a reliable tool to get your guitar into common tunings easily and simply, you cannot do better than this app. The interface is clean, it has many tunings, and it will not ask you for money unless maybe you are a nerd.

I like this app and have used it for a couple of features mostly. The chord finder is a nice feature and offers a wealth of chord shapes all in the same, credible place. I also use the tuner a lot. It's a nice feature but does have some problems (e.g., it won't pick up the E string on my electric bass). I can't comment much on the song library features as I haven't made much use of it.

I use this app in my bass practice consistently, I mainly use the metronome to practice arpeggios and scales and the rhythm section to try out ideas. I like the drum sounds for the metronome as opposed to the classic click. The one drawback I have on this is the tempo slider is buggy, an option to input tempo would be nice. The tuner works alright, when you place it in chromatic setting, though milage may vary based on room sound and microphone quality, but I wouldn't rely on this at a gig.

Great instant tuner for my phone. Haven't tried any of the other features, and though there were a few push notifications for the pro version, that was very limited and never felt any pressure. It does have some problems picking up my bass' E string for tuning, and I think that could be because of my old and basic gear, or having the VOL too low. So I've never really had problems at all with this app.

Clean, light, loads in an instant (who wants to wait for a tuner app to open for 15 seconds?), not bloated, looks modern. Tons of different tunings, and if that's not enough you can customize your own. Auto, Manual or Pro tuner. Supports guitars, bass, ukulele by default. Extras include a chord finder, scale finder, rhythm finder (plays drum beats in different styles), metronome (can use custom time signatures). Essential tools you'd need as a guitar player. All for FREE! Superior tuner app.

For a beginner tuning app, this will do the job. Short of getting a tuning pedal (or amp, etc) this is the best you're going to get. Only compliant is that features like Drop D tuning take a few clicks. The interface should really make this stuff front and center. A LOT of people go in and out of Drop D, or other tuning modes, during practice. Having to hit extra buttons just means I'm one step closer to getting a tuner on my pedalboard rather than use the app. But the app does work.

Best tuner app that I've used. I honestly don't think I'll use another app for tuning as long as this one doesn't end up getting wrecked. Best things are there are no ads that you have to sit through in order to tune, there are a ton of tunings and multiple instruments to choose from, pro access is free and comes with a bunch of cool features, the absolute best feature is the ability to create custom tunings and save them! If you need a portable tuner you can't go wrong with this one.

WOW is this awful. given what you would normally expect in quality from the biggest name in musical instruments, this is just shockingly terrible. first of all; the gui/design is not beautiful, to say the least. but the way it functions is another world. you have to press and HOLD the desired string/note with one finger in order to hear said note, which is then only sustained for as long as you're manually interacting. ahhh, my mistake; i never knew tuning a guitar was a group activity!
