Moto G 5G has a difficult, multi-step access to the built-in file manager, which can't be placed as a shortcut. This tiny app allows for that. Nice. No additional File Manager app required.

Simple shortcut to the files app on my Motorola g9 play on Android 11. The files app is built in to the phone but the shortcut is not (unlike my last Moto phone). This shortcut does the job. Thank you!

Thank you for bringing back a non-google file manager. I know the files manager is on my phone, but the phone would only let me use the files by Google, which was very annoying.

Kudos to the developers! This shortcut enables the access to OneDrive that was hidden in the "Files by Google" app that came pre-installed on my phone. Thank you!

just perfect! wished every app could be as simple, effective, and miniscule (only a dozen kb) as this. reply: thanks for the heads up! indeed your other apps are great! however, i missed an explanation that AOSP is "android open source project", and a trial. although i'll probably stick with kiss launcher (i'd love to see your fork of it, perhaps merging with best aspects of tinybit launcher as well)! 😁 ps: please make apps for fdroid and accept btc payments/donations!! (i won't pay google)

This app is perfect: it doesn't have any bugs, and all features are implemented, so no bugs expected in future. There are very few people that can add missing brick to a good piece of software - like this app.

I don't even need this out but it's convenient because I don't have to sit there and try to figure out what am I doing with my file searching and my managing but I like CX file explorer too so it's kind of like a tantrum of decision-making CX file the only thing is bad with it it's not part of the system it's an external app.

OMG!!With the latest android update i wasn't able to access the files inside android data folder. Searched for a long time to get to this app. Really satisfied with this app. Helps me to clear unnecessary data. Thanks to devs for this amazing app

Very cool shortcut, far easier than making shortcuts with external apps. The native file manager is far cooler than the Xiaomi file manager and has no ads. Thanks a lot for the shortcut.

Doesn't do what I want, which is create an option to open the system file manager in the share menu that appears when clicking the "open folder" icon in syncthing. It does launch the system file manager perfectly from the app drawer but my system file manager already has an icon there! I'm sorry if I've misunderstood what this app is for, if so I'll change/delete my review!

With the latest android update, access to system files or cross profile file access is blocked by default. Of all the solutions i have searched for, this is the only app that works and supports system file and cross profile file access support. Kudos to the developer. This is worth 5 stars... Apps that matter...

Thank you so much for making this! Samsung buried the stock Files app so hard that it's not even visible when you enable "show system apps" within Settings < Apps on One UI 3.1 because obviously they want you to use their own "My Files" app, which can't access the /Android/data folder contents.

Works fine on my Note 10+ with Android 10. Worked on my Note 9 as well. Wonderful, simple addition to get something that is otherwise missing. (Devs, please don't remove this app or consolidate it into other apps it's great just the way it is.) Edit: I don't think the devs read my review. I didn't say I don't think something. This app adds a shortcut to the app drawer, something the consolidated shortcut app does not do. I need an app drawer shortcut, not open an app to get other apps.

Works exactly as advertised. It simply opens the default file browser. Got a Motorola g82 and without this app accessing the default file browser is only possible by using a SD card. I don't understand why they are forcing the user to use Google's Files version to force even more data collection from just browsing your local files.

Thanks for adding this... I had read how to create a shortcut myself, but have had little need to do this for other system apps so why reinvent the wheel. Now if you can convince google to just add it by default, then all the better. I was looking for it because I'd rather access the native File app just like all other apps... while this can be opened from my notifications when I attach external storage, the shortcut in my apps folder is less awkward to use.

This works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S22 (Android 13). I could not access any of the hidden system/app files even with them turned on. After hours of researching others with the same problem, the Samsung Ambassadors were saying we needed to root it in order to access those files which I refuse to do. I found an article of someone having success on their Pixel 6 Pro with this, so I tried it and voila! I now have access to all hidden files without needing to root my phone. Tyvm!

The Google files app is massive and the native files app can't usually be accessed. I like the Google files app to play music but used to be stymied trying to look at text files and others whilst using it. This gets around that and other problems. Thank you.

Very grateful for this "app". It does exactly what I need it to do: open the "Files" app that is already a part of Android. Nothing more, nothing less. (Sad that this is even necessary; a big 👎 to whoever in Google and/or Motorola that decided to make native Files not only hidden but unable to be marked as visible.) Thank you Delta 8 for making a workable solution! 👍
