The app was working well until recently. Now for some reason it is not including pending charges in the available balance total. This has never been an issue, so maybe something happened when your last update was done. It is very annoying because the available balance will include some of the pending charges but not all. Really would like this fixed! I tried uninstalling and reinstalled but did not help.

I switched to FCB because Chase bank was too far to drive to get cash when needed. I like FCB, except one thing - when I pay my bills, for example utility, the amount is not deducted from my total balance right away. My previous bank was better with this function. The amount has been deducted from my total balance and remained in "pending" status up to a week until that place receive and cash the check the bank send by mail. But I knew how much money I have left after I paid my bills. Thank you.

This app used to be the go to for me and my family for keeping up with our finances. The latest update completely ruined the app, not one device (spanning several iteration cycles) can use the app, with several showing that they are no longer supported with the latest update. Those that can download the update, cannot connect to the online banking servers.

The app itself is poorly organized, and they tried to half-a$$ it by linking to their website. My suggestions, look at the OneWest app which was self contained, and user friendly. It had quick access to bill-pay, deposits, transfers and account history. This app is more focused on selling you other features of First Citizens than it is on actually managing the money you have.

Edit:11/15/18 Please fix the app!!!!! The latest update has screwed it up. I can not go to the next screen anywhere in the app without having to input my password again, I will be uninstalling!! I've already had to uninstall and reinstall because I couldn't log in. Please make sure everything works before you release changes to something! When it's working properly, I'll change my rating.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and this app used to work great on my phone, but ever since the latest update it won't let me log in at all. Now I'm never able to login on the go and I end up having to check my accounts from my computer, which is extremely inconvenient for someone who used to use the app multiple times a day. Very disappointed

Like everyone else is saying, a month or 2 ago it stopped working, comes up with "an unknown error has occurred." Hasn't let me in a single time since the error started. Edit: Uninstalling then re-installing it made it work again, but that's still ridiculous. First thing I did was do a mobile check deposit, and after it was submitted I got kicked back to the log in screen. Terrible app.

I changed my review because the app is all screwed up. I can't get in. I can access mobile via internet but the app is toast. Please fix it. Soon. UPDATE: Still has issues. I have done all the things the tech people ask you to do. It worked for a little bit, but now it just has a loading screen. Then after 6 or 7 minutes I get a red error screen. FIX THIS

had a terrible time getting it started initially. my number to confirm was entered wrong on their end and it only shows the last four when asking what number to use. After that was worked out, the app now has to be uninstalled and reinstalled after each initial login because it freezes the second time and beyond you try to login. The fix they gave me was uninstall and reinstall. I am hoping they resolve this soon. once in, the app is decent. Getting it to open seems to be the issue.

Update 5/28/20 App doesn't connect. 5G or WiFi it doesn't connect. Logo spins and spins but nothing ever happens. Don't believe the 4.5 star rating, they are bot reviews. This is useful when it works but you can't ever connect. Trash Guys... this app doesn't work. I cannot log in at all on it. Can I please get some assistance? All I want to do is check my balance!!

I am extremely frustrated. Ever since they updated this app I have not been able to login to my account. I called the help service for first citizens Banking TWICE. Still was not able to login. I redownloaded it and it still wouldn't let me log in. Went to the actual bank, finally got my stuff fixed. But now I can't download the app for some reason. Since then I have went into the negative and put money in on the same day. Even though I didn't and the day in the negative I still got charged an overdraft fee. All because I couldn't see how much money I have in my bank account. I'm extremely aggravated and a unhappy customer.

Incredibly frustrating. This app is garbage and more of a pain than it is useful. Almost every time I install, the confirmation call causes the app to freeze permanently, forcing me to uninstall and reinstall again. In fact, if the device registration doesn't completely freeze the app, closing it and opening it at a later time most definitely will. It's such a disappointment, as I need to use this service daily but it turns into a huge waste of time and more frustration than it's worth.

App keeps crashing. One day it works fine, the next day I can't login. I haven't been able to successfully login in a couple of days. I have even tried uninstalling then reinstalling. Error message goes from Logging In to Loading then an authentication error. Fix the bugs in this app. I use it daily when working. Great bank but horrible online banking experiences!!

was always reliable and would connect quickly to my account, however since the latest update I haven't been able to get in my account. the app is now just trash on my phone. i have a Google Pixel 3 XL, so its not a problem with the hardware or processing power since this phone has only been in use for 2 months. Constantly trying to get past the loading spin wheel, and just staying there. no amount of closing the app and re opening, or force stopping, uninstalling and reinstalling will help.Trash

I can't login as a new user. All I get is a message of "Loading". It doesn't go anywhere on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. Useless app. 11/12/18 - I was FINALLY able to log in on the mobile app. However, since the last update, I once again CANNOT LOGIN. Again, all I get is a message of LOADING & it doesn't do anything on my Samsung Galaxy 8+. It DOES NOT WORK. I have to access my account on my computer. YOU NEED TO FIX IT. I'm ready to change banks because this app is unstable.--New phone same result.-0

This app has a history of sometimes being good, sometimes being not-so-good. Right now, it's not-so-good (as you probably noticed from a lot of recent reviews). For the past few weeks, you will get an endless spinning circle at log-in. To use the app, you have to uninstall after each use and then reinstall it when you need it again. Very frustrating, to say the least.

Update: First Citizens is aware of the check deposit bug that occurred with the 10/19 update. Now, more than 6 months later there is no fix. The latest android update (pie) and app update happened around the same time, so I can't pinpoint which one caused the mobile deposit glitch. I can no longer use this feature, as my camera is rotated 90 ° clockwise (ie: landscape becomes portrait) when I scan the check. Moving the phone to compensate distorts the image, making it unusable.

I have not been able to get into my account since the shutdown. I waited patiently for a week while trying sporadically, then went to the branch I use for help. They were able to update my account for online use but not able to help me get on by using the app...which I used daily before. I uninstalled the app several times and reinstalled to see if it helped and I still get the connectivity error message....UPDATE: The same thing is happening again! Maybe there shouldn't be any more updates!

Had to go on my laptop to change my password because of a bug in the beginning of the app. I appreciate the new safety features though. But the transactions aren't to a t. Instead of saying when they happened it states when they went through. This caught me off guard at first and made me have to look at it closer to find out specific information. Otherwise a good app. Used it for years now.

It was ok the first couple of times that I used it, but then when I would transfer money, instead of taking it from my checking account it took it from the checking reserved account (which I never selected) which then I had to pay back with interest which frustrated me. And now, it took away one of the accounts I was transferring money to. When I contacted customer service they were like, you'll have to use Zelle for that account. I don't want to do that. Horrible!
