Password-Protect Sensitive Photos & Videos:

Numerous other commenters have pointed out that the app does demand permissions for almost every function on your device, even if you're only selecting one thing. There's no workaround. You have to go to permissions and grant the app permission for your camera, even if you don't want video or picture files stored. I notice the developer assiduously responds to malfunction-reports, etc.; but invariably is silent to the above anomaly. THAT is doubly suspicious. Deleted the app right away. I don't care how popular an app is. And I THOUGHT GOOGLE WAS STOPPING THIS SORT OF PERMISSIONS-ABUSE.

Thanks for reaponse....it shows "Pin does not match". Could you please guide me that how to see and edit the data I stored in text form? Since it changed to calculator mode, the data other than images shows in file but once try to open nothing is visible. Even cant save any more data in the app. Cant change to regular mode from calculator mode. Looking forward to the solution.

Horrible... They removed a ton of settings that I can't now switch. I cannot change which camera app is used to take pictures. The photos I take don't even go into the folder. Doesn't blur when accessing recent apps like telegram or banking apps do for the amount of download pretty sure I could build a better app. Stick to an old DSLR this is annoying and is not a lockmypix alternative...

I used this app to hide my call recorder. Since I couldn't hide the call recorders in your audio folder, i hided the recorded files in Miscellaneous folder. While restoring the files, it didn't work because it is not decrypted. Please help me to sort out the problem as soon as possible. Please don't copy and paste it just for the sake of reply. If you have your email Id please go amd read it and then respond to it. If you don't know how to solve the issue, please shut it the app and stay away.

I have saved important photos and videos and now cannot open individual folders. Instead I can open Gallery and see only photos. All videos frozen and when clicked appears as 'permission granted' on the bottom of the screen. When I touch the permission granted it take me to a different pay website.. Can anyone explain the reason for this please. Many thanks.

Overall great experience except small bug... I've set locks on some apps, code and fingerprint. Once in a while it doesn't recognize the code and the fingerprint either. Tried to open the app itself, no success... Same result. Found a solution, to force to stop it in under Settings-> Apps->Folder Lock. After that it runs as it should. Except that, nothing to complain about. Was thinking to purchase it. Btw, is it a one time payment or a monthly fee?

I have been use this locker for years, but recently i noticed a serious issue in this app and because of that i lost some of my data. The issue is: if I double click on any files such as pictures, videos etc, that particular file gets corrupted. I tried to reinstall the app and restored my data but all the other files works fine except those files i clicked twice unfortunately. I hope the developers will fix this issue in the next update and give a chance to recover corrupted data too. Thanks!

Initially I wanted rate the standard version with 4 stars but there were 2 issues that held me up from it. 1. ads were nonstop & very annoying which is new. 2. 1 file got destroyed. Couldn't open it up anymore. Apart from that I was very happy so far. I was then advised to get the pro version that doesn't have the ads, so I bought it and now you can't even move files in there, & if you do it a whole folder gets in which you can't get out anymore. Absolute disaster. Not recommended at all.

Worked fine up until I tried to unhide a video and return that file to the general gallery on the phone. The video shrunk from 200MB to 111bytes and I didn't do a thing to root folder where it was contained. Which tells me it got corrupted when being moved back out of folder lock. It's pretty ordinary for what it does so it works. But don't use it to save certain things you really don't want to lose. Found that out the hard way.

Just recently this has started happening: if I go into my Notes to make a change, the screen skips around and then scrolls to the bottom of the page, and then moves to the line I was changing but the line is at the top of the screen instead of where I was editing it. Bottom line: I HATE this😡 It's very confusing and not helpful at all.

Used to work great. Now it won't. I deleted my files in the app and uninstalled the app, hoping that a reinstall would fix things and then I discovered a new problem. All the files that I deleted showed up again inside the app. I tried deleting the files again in the app, uninstalled, shut the phone off, reinstalled the app and the files showed up again.

It's fairly ok. I've found out a key thing about this: Don't delete the old folder that you encrypted, but delete only the FILES within the folder. If you delete the folder itself then the lock app will put it back UN-ENCRYPTED. It needs to have the old EMPTY folder present in order to keep its filed encrypted in the locked app. This is crazy, but that's been my experience with it. It keeps one ecrypted folder in the lock app, and one empy folder in the original location on your device.

Like the app overall but every time there's an update, it messes with stealth mode. The latest update made the app useless. I can't launch it using *6666 any longer. Now i can see the icon on my phone (should be hidden since stealth mode is activated) but i can't launch the app from the icon either. Crashes every time. Trying *6666 just makes a phone call instead of launching the app.

I encrypted a couple files to test the app out. When I tried to decrypt them they were removed from the section of the app they were in, but the actual files remain encrypted on my device. Now I can't open the files outside of the app, and the option to decrypt them is not available inside the app. I can see them in the app if I go to encrypt other files, but they're in a folder called "Unhide Files" and nothing can be done with them. Very disappointed.

I like this app. I only saved MP3 files on it. The only problem I'm facing is when I'm playing a music and the music finished. The app automatically moves to another music but there is pup up appears on the screen stating that it's moving to another file and the pup up stays forever. Can you fix it? BTW, I'm using the app on android unit(on my car).

absolute disaster! moved locked around 1000 pictures and videos. App Moved them to phone internal memory which filled available memory. so I moved entire folder to sd card. then unlocked the files. now they are in an unlocked folder and NONE WILL OPEN. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!! Thank you for responding but I would not call losing a 1000 video files from the last 10 years an inconvenience! it's a disaster

does not work on the prestige 2.. I have tried locking all types of files and can still access them freely from file manager... useless. unless you just like looking at ads. update: file manager could see the encrypted copy the app made and still open the original files. so when I told it to lock a video it then took up twice the space. the video in its original file and the encrypted one in the folder lock file. same thing when I did a entire folder

All the bad reviews are true. They created an app that permanently locks all of your files for free and then tell you that data recovery is a premium feature, even though it's the first option in the settings of the free version. Unlocking files the way it was "intended" does not send them back to your main gallery and takes them off the app gallery. They enter a second hidden folder where they are still useless. Customer service could not fix the problem let alone understand it half the time.

Lost all of my locked images. 90+ photos gone! My gallery just shows the image data (number and date) and a default photo icon for each one. I've had it for me years and I hadn't used it in a while and everything has just vanished. I tried the recovery and it said there was nothing to recover. I would NOT recommend this app. Use your phone's built in secured folder option instead.

It has bulk import, and can also lock other apps, it has good organization out of the box, and a disguise mode. There are some rough spots, like Android constantly saying the app is crashing, and when importing folders other folders look like they are selected as well (they weren't and aren't, but they have been marked as they were) but still, best of the 5 apps of this type I tried.
