Disappointed in the new release of FordPass app. Previous version worked very well, but was a bit slow to respond. Not a problem. The new release responds quicker but "Location" doesn't work. The only way I can get Location to work is to uninstall/reinstall the app. It will then show the location of my vehicle (maybe), but it will only show the location ONCE. I then have to reinstall. Ford needs to fix this ASAP. I relied on this function in the previous version. Everything else works.

A rather important feature is the service history and the ability to manually enter your own entries. I do not see how to do so within the update or if the option is available anymore. I am staying with the old version for the time being. I never used to own ford but over the past 2 years I purchased two brand new 0 mile fords and intend to meticulously document the maintenance records. It has been super convenient to use the ap to do so. Update still doesn't allow user entry of service updates.

I have a 2020 Ford Fusion. It was alright before the update. It would load slow but reliable information. Now I have no way to refresh the app when looking at the location. It won't even update when I exit out of the app and go back into it. Honestly, what is the vehicle status even good for? It's only ever alerted me when my tire pressure was low and I needed an oil change. When other things were wrong, for example, my water pump was bad, I had a cracked rotor but "Good Health" I say useless!!

FordPass 5 is now out, with a different UI, and different crop of issues. The Route Planning function seems to be completely stripped-out now, which is really infuriating timing right before I'm about to take a big trip. I can't even seem to access the location function at all (seems to work fine on my wife's iPhone). Handy features, but lots of bugs/issues that come and go.

The app worked fine before the update.. now the location rarely updates. The car is in another town 50 miles away and it says it's a block from me. Why would you take away the ability to manually refresh the location?! The location map won't even open most of the time. Why can't I see the location when the car is moving now? The location only updates when the car is parked now? It also doesn't say when the last time the location was updated anymore. Change it back! One star til it's fixed.

This latest app upgrade is lacking in quality. The Location function has its own mind when it refreshes to a point where it is not useful. Same with battery range information. I get a sense that Ford does not have a Quality Assurance team anylonger and whoever designed and signed off on releasing this upgrade, has never actually tested it in real life. The app gets a second star from improvements in the 'look and feel' and overall user interface.

New App version is terrible, the old version would let you view terms and conditions, see your warranty information. You could use all of you vehicles features, such as the trailer light tester, perimeter lights, pro-power, just to name a few. The new update has removed all of the information away and taken all of the additional functions away from the app. If they return these features the new layout is fine but without having the features the app is worthless.

The new 5.0 version is much worse than the 4.x versions. The new version took away the ability for F-150 owners to turn on zone lighting and check trailer lights. They also took away the ability to view your owners manual and can no longer enter your own service records. Re-enable these options, Ford! The location feature seems like it is so innacurate now. Yay, it has dark mode.... So what if you have fewer features.

If it's not broke don't screw with it! The previous version had way more functionality and was by far much faster. The only improvement is the slide start which didn't bother me to long press in the first place. The location feature is slow when it decides to work at all. This app was one of my favorite features of my very expensive truck. Now it's not worthy of the truck.

Ford pushed out the "updated " app recently. The updated version lost a great deal of functionality. There is no longer the option to add service records from non Ford garages. We can no longer check tires remotely as well as many other functions. When this version rolled out we had the option of returning to the old version but that no longer exists. VERY disappointed although Ford apparently knows best. Must have done an focus group!

Latest update is nearly useless. No longer have access to the manuals which was available in the previous version. The location option is somewhat improved as it takes you to Google Maps. The gas tank gauge has been removed--that's another feature that has been removed. The app was pretty useless to begin with compared to other OEM apps and now it's even more disappointing.

App just had a major update, and REMOVED 80% of the available public chargers from the app. Checked all of the filter settings, it still doesn't show the dozens of public chargers in the 10 miles around my home, which I've been using for months. I can no longer find them in this app, I can no longer pay for them using the BlueOval Network; it's as if the app thinks they no longer exist. The app update brings with it some minor UI improvements, and also hides some important features. Garbage.

New version is absolutely horrible. Location services don't work or when they do they lag behind by over an hour where the car is. No longer shows fuel level. No longer shows warranty information. I tried it in beta and it was so bad I went back to the old version. Now I'm stuck with the new version and almost nothing works except the remote start.

Ford recently "upgraded" the app, and it is very buggy. It is slow to load, and does not update charging status. I still have not found where I can do trip planning to make sure I have chargers available. When it first updated, it let me go back to the old interface, but that isn't available now. I am not sure why they removed functionality and moved options around, while not making sure the new pages worked.

The updated version is terrible. They stripped all real functionality out of it. It is now lack - luster, and pointless. What started as a promising app, has been gutted. Nice, would like to see function added to check to see if moon roof and windows are open, and the ability to close or open them. Could be handy if rain starts unexpectedly. Or to vent heat before getting into a hot vehicle.

The app is now version 5.0. I am not happy with the layout, but at least I can still lock my cars even if the app cannot locate them. Location works initially, then doesn't Slide to start may be nice, but I never use remote start. I sorta wish Lock worked as a slide. I found a link to check for an update to Sync, but now I can't find how to access that again. I feel the app was changed for the sake of change and don't consider it an improvement.

I liked the old version better. Sorry, but it was easier to use and find the things you want to find. Such as tire pressure, Oil life, reward points, pro trailer, zone lighting, ect. Now yes, it's super easy to start and lock and unlock, but where did everything else go? Bring back those feature options, keep the new unlock, lock function and it'll be good. But now this is more like a downgrade, not an upgrade.

Recently was force updated to the newest version. While the new version is more attractive looking, that is about the limit of my enthusiasm for it. Gone is access to the ability to test trailer lighting, use zone lighting, or easily check location and/or tire pressures. The location feature no longer has a refresh and only seems to update when the vehicle is parked now. Tire pressures are buried under the service menus. All in all, huge loss of function, but I guess it is pretty at least.

With the latest update, the app barely functions. They changed the interface to be more complicated and less user-friendly. They changed the buttons to single touch instead of press and hold. Now, you can easily lock, unlock, or start your vehicle accidentally. I can't believe Ford thought a critical safety issue would be a good feature. But, at least, location no longer works at all. I assume Ford wants users to delete the app, so they no longer need to support it and can lay off their app team

The previous version had the ability, which was a great safety feature to turn on the 360° lighting. Lets say if you are at restaurant. As you are leaving, the parking lot lights are not working very well, and not very well-lit well, you hit your you button on your app, turn on all the lights around your vehicle. A lot safer, bring it back for it. Bring it back!! Not to mention all the other functionality that isn't in the new version.
