it's a good app, but it can also give the option to transfer contacts from sim to phone or phone to sim.

We can't see all alphabet in horizontal mode (just several letters). Otherwise as basic functions app it is fine.

It's great that it can set group ringtones, but there's no way to set individual ringtones for some reason.

I would love to give a ***** review, because other Fossify tools are good. however, the Contacts app is buggy: exporting all my contacts to a vcf file, it exported only a fraction of my contacts resulting in a small file: 455 kb. The full export of all my contacts is 4.3 MB. The Fossify file contained only around 500 contacts where the total number of my contacts is above 4,300. very importantly, Fossify also lost some contact labels/groups from contacts that it successfully exported.

User interface couldnt be worse. Not comfortable to use. Lacks features and accessibility. Not ideal infront of the inbuilt contact and dialer apps in androids.

As a previous long term user of Simple Contacts (controversially sold-off to a private company - Google it) I have enjoyed my change to Fossify Contacts, with all previous settings still working. Fossify Contacts has enhanced features with much greater control and flexibility than the standard Google Contacts App. Other Fossify apps are now also now used.

Fossify Contacts is a FOSS (Free and open source contact app. It works like default one except better then one that ships with the Google pixel. For starters the default Google one has it where if you have a stared contact it will appear twice and there is no way to disable this with the Google contacts but Fossify Contacts has contacts then stared contacts as different tabes and in my opinion it works better this way and is less confusing to me. Only thing I'll like to see is password app

Fossify Contacts app has intuitive easy navigation and user friendly design. Has fast and efficient search, ability to sync contacts with various accounts. You can organize your data thru grouping & tags resulting efficient contact management. One thing I find missing is " CALL TONE CANNOT BE SET FOR CONTACT GROUPS" Which is a must. Hope you will do it.

(May) would give 5 stars but it has just stopped recognizing my contacts and im lost. tried uninstall and reinstall but no luck. what do i do? Update, (June) it has done it again. it started working after the last time, and now it has lost all my contacts again. So want to like this app, but reduced to two stars.

Better than spyware bloatware Google Contacts. Simple tools apps but better. But here's a suggestion for Dev. I'm using Open Contacts app from F-droid which doesn't sync all of my contacts at once and keep those distant and disconnected from phone contacts (Google contacts) and what social media apps sync with including WhatsApp and Telegram. If possible, try to bring what Open Contacts has done. Try it and see, as I'm uninclined to sync all contacts esp., personal ones with other apps. Promote.

I'd really like the alphabet to be on the left side, and lined up so that the first contact with that letter and the letter itself are side by side. See Google Contacts app. Not bad though, would like more icon color choices and background options, as usual. Confirm calling and merge dupes is a great idea!

Has worked almost flawlessly since installation and importing of contacts from .vcf file. Lightweight, intuitive, fast, no ads or bloat, no internet, no trackers according to Exodus. Using with Fossify Phone & Messenger. Has a feature where you can store contacts privately but are able to use them with other Fossify apps. 🔵 EDIT Contact names still often not displaying in Call History, don't know if this is a problem with Contacts or Fossify Phone. Android 15.

Life saver, since Simple Mobile Tools went downhill and Simple Contacts never even accessed the actual Android device-contacts in the first place. This app saved my butt and also it's a good, quick and easy way to move or copy your contacts from one storage place to a diff. destination. No dependency on system accounts "feature" from Android and no pre-enabled auto sync. All foss and clean. Will check out their other apps as well, when i'll have some spare time. Thank you guys for real! 🙌

Looked promising... but lacks the one feature I wanted, a quick dial widget with options for either sms or calling, now that the standard Contacts app only offers Instant Dialling.

Basic, privacy-respecting contacts app for Android that works with all contacts accounts on your phone. Connects with whatever dialer and email apps you're using. Will merge your view of contacts that appear in more than one account. Doesn't send data anywhere else, which is more than I can be sure of with Google's default Contacts app.
