A fun drone and easy to use app. Only issue I have is that the app will crash and I have to open it again every flight. I can be back in the app within 15 seconds but it's annoying. Also the range is greatly effected by wifi interference. I feel the drone is responding to the remote commands but the video stream becomes very poor from about 150 to 200 meters away. Lastly, the subject tracking will lose the object most times. Fun feature but when I've done orbits or flyovers it will usually lose the subject about 75% until completion. So small improvments would up my rating.

Brilliant App. Stable and precise. BUT. Please look at: 1. Proper signal for recording ACTIVE. Completely misleading to have a smaller red button when recording is taking place than when it's off - OMG! 2. Quick change from Sport to Film mode - one button? 3. Camera height still doesn't follow POI properly in Flight Plan. 4. Record switches off at end of flight plan - why?

When switching from video to photo mode the live feed freezes. Sometimes video feed never connects leaving the screen with just graphical overlay and after several reboots of drone and controller still no live video feed. Going to try uninstall then reinstall to see if that fixes issue. much better after several updates

This app pairs easily to both the sky controller 3 and via wifi from the anafi to my galaxy s9+. It enables me to fly with smartphone only which is nice for autonomous modes. I easily transfer captured footage using the gallery section of this app to move files from the sd card on the anafi to the phone. Every update has been very useful, even adding new features for the camera and flying modes. Very impressed.

Updated review to 3 star. Got the app to connect with skycontroller 3 but needed to use an older phone to connect and udate firmware on remote. fortunately i had one. after the update it connected to my pixel 3. Wish there had been a PC option to update the controller. App looses connection to drone on first flight when connected with skycontroller. wifi signal is fine, and then says weak signal without moving and drops connection and reconnects. might be usb coord. very finnicky so far.

I just love this app and the Anafi. The capabilities are endless and suitable for either professional or beginner. Using this app is like flying a high-end DSLR. The 360° panoramas are amazingly simple to create and look spectacular. As a photographer, I've happily added the Anafi and Free Flight 6 to my arsenal of photographic equipment. Not only is it great for still shots, but handles videos fantastically. Highly recommended. Great job Parrot!!!

Update: Parrot customer service rocks! Actual person talked to me after a few rings! I was having trouble with the app and it kept crashing on my phone but a quick factory reset on drone fixed everything. not sure if it had anything to do with it but right after they updated the app and it's working better than ever. Loving the experience of using this drone and this app now!

Great app for flying around. Fairly easy to navigate menu's. One major issue is the Gallery view: The UI and image loading needs to be on different threads in the gallery view. After about 50GB of imagery it hits a stops responding watchdog when retuning to main gallery view. At 100 GB it becomes entirely unusable 10-15 minutes to load page. Also it would be nice if I could specify save to phones SD card instead of international storage.

The app is very good imo and very user friendly. Much better overall than apps I've used with lower budget drones and has a lot more options for flight modes and camera. It has worked very well for me for going on two years with my LG V35 phone. The only issues I have had with loss of connection or crashing were not app related but turned out to be a bad usb cable port the phone itself. I don't know why others have struggled with the app but it's very work well with both my LG phone and ipad.

The latest update seems to work fine on my Samsung S7 and S9. Like the panoramas and 360s. Rated down one star as it would be nice if the pano series were given a unique folder for the photos or given a unique file name to make it easier to ID the photos. That would make it much easier for those who wish to use a stand alone stitcher.

good control app and fairly easy to use. Downsides are minor with two flight modes being in ap purchases that frankly should be included. photos and videos can be transferred from drone to phone, but only to phone memory. would be better if option to download to phone memory card. the app cover diagnostics and telemetry of the drone and works in imperial and metric. selecting and moving photos and video is easy, but layout can lead to accidentally deleted files.be careful of your taps.

Works Perfectly! I don't see why everyone is complaining about this app because mine works perfectly. I use it on a both Android and IOS phones and have had no issues. I hope to continue having great results with it as I learn to use it. I think people are either not following instructions or doing something to get mixed results. I recently saw that the phones wifi needs to be off when using the sky controller good to know because I have been having mine on so I'm glad nothing bad has happened.

Great app and a necessity for the drone. It has loads of options and customizable parameters for the perfect experience. I've never used it to fly the drone, however. I use the controller for that. The Follow Me option is nice and works well, along with the other flight modes. My only complaint is that the map doesn't always load so you just see a blank grid. Even if you preload the map, it still doesn't load.

Works well when it works..Whether it's this app, or the updates, or the software in general, or my ANAFI - they are unreliable to use in commercial applications. When connected to the drones wifi network it says it's not connected, when hard connected to the controller it says it's not connected. I spent way more time messing with this thing and downloading firmware updates than I do actually being able to fly it.

Too bad I have to rate so low. Really like the drone, but the app is pretty buggy. Doesn't always record flights, have had fun coming up with a flight plan, but can't get flight plan to execute. I press the play arrow/button and the drone hovers, as if there wasn't a flight plan. All other modes work. Also have message that there's no sd card inserted but there is (video on YouTube). Odd stuff. Hope you get it all sorted out.

Great drone, terrible software, slow customer support. I bought this drone a little over a year ago. Everything was just as expected, and then some. Over the course of a few updates though it got worse. In flight plan mode it stops at every waypoint when initially it didn't both with the option on & off, follow me stopped following me, and more. Then I tried to get the camera repaired under warranty because of a few dead pixels I found, they only replied once to my email then radio silence.

Overall the software works fairly well, though my anafi did drop out of the sky (luckily from about 5 feet on soft grass) when switched from film mode to sport mode. I was happy when Parrot dropped the app purchases to .$.99 each. Update: After flying for about a month, I have come to conclude that overall the drone works well but the software or firmware on the drone itself is still buggy. The one area that drives me crazy is the "SD card error" that I get all the time no matter what SD card I use (I've tried 3 different cards now from 3 different manufacturers). I don't know if this is a fault of the app or the firmware on the controller or the drone itself, but I find it odd there have been 0 updates for the app, the controller, or the Anafi in about a month now. That seems odd considering it's such a new product.
