This app has had it's ups and downs, my main attraction to it was it allowing me to archive media from the site, this was broken for a while outside my main feed but an update fixed it, thanks devs! Now however, the app won't let me tweet with my own pictures or twitter GIFs (they instantly fail to upload) or actually vote in polls. Maybe the API changed. Hoping for a fix because non-wrapper apps don't let me read threads and that's essential for me

Broken since the elon takeover, nonstop reload. Consistently in the android app for twitter, past versions as well as the newest, if I follow an external link the app freezes when I return from the link (either by tapping X or using BACK button). By freeze I mean it wont scroll and all links are dead, so all I can do is quit and relaunch the app thus losing whatever thread I had been reading. If no fix, the app is fatally broken.

I paid for the premium no ad version...where one of the perks is that I can acess a premium color scheme for my profile. Unfortunately, once a specific color is chosen, it does not stay applied. I have several Twitter accounts, and it is too time consuming to find & reapply the exact same color scheme to my profiles. I am an understanding person, but when you are asking people to pay for your product or service, those people should get nothing less than what they've paid for.

Interface still suffering the bug of jerking/stuttering after you stop scrolling (it'll scroll up by itself 1-3 steps after you pause & your click registers something else you didn't mean to click on). I constantly click the wrong thing because of this erratic shifting. I reported this over a month ago. I'm a premium user and am now getting boxes formed by the app creators themselves saying "hide this ad" and take you to the upgrade section. I've already paid and upgraded. Stop this nonsense!!

So, I thought this app was working pretty well, but I noticed it's not really consistent. Sometimes it doesn't like/retweet things when it says it has, and I noticed it very rarely saves pictures it says it's saving. You're probably better off just using the normal Twitter app and a third-party app for downloading Twitter videos. Oh, and it doesn't give consistent notifications, either.

This app is a great twitter client. Best Ive seen so far. Worked great until the recent update which has messed up eveything and its now frustrating to use. When your composing a response the keybourd is covers the screen son you cant see what your writing like you could before. The timeline is jumpy and jumps all over the place and when trying to attach a meme or photo the app resets and goes back to the timeline. These bugs didnt happen before until recently. Please fix this great app.

I used this app to quickly schedule posts from a share function in another app, it was so much faster than doing it on PC. But now, it doesn't go straight to the compose tweet page and instead just takes you to your feed. I could overlook that, but now for some reason, link previews don't seem to be working. Sort of defeats the purpose of what I use it for.

I wanna like this app so much, but couple of things is keeping me from enjoying the experience.. The app crashes all the time, the dark mode feature doesn't work anymore. 04/16/2022 update on using this app... Developers could care less about critiques to this app. This app is awesome when it functions in a normal behavior. App crashes all the time, when you click on a link within the app, it freezes the whole app and you'll have to restart it, very frustrating

Can't set feed to be chronological, constantly changing back to some magical order like it thinks it knows me better than I know myself. Have it set to dark mode but starts in bright white for a second. So my experience is phone dark mode, FRIENDLY BRIGHT WHITE, friendly dark mode. Forcing topics to follow. Can't open links in Chrome. It has some special Chrome Tab but it's not the regular Chrome browser. I typically open links to read later. Overall it just tries to hard and fails.

Pros: None of those annoying ads that's on Twitter app. Option to change theme color. Layout of app is almost the same as Twitter app. Cons: When I click on a link and go back to my timeline the screen is black. I have to reboot app and lose my place on the timeline. Also, there is no way to view my saved trending topics. Both of these are features I need so this app is a failure. If both of these are fixed I would switch over.

Download button no longer shows up most of the time. Every once in a while, it reappears but not consistently and not for every video or image. Developer doesn't respond to support inquiries. App experience has continually downgraded over the last year. Weird memory issue problem still not fixed or even addressed, after 25-30mb in cache app crashes and you have to force stop and delete the cache to restart the app. This is the only app I have that has this issue.

Friendly is more enjoyable to use and as fast as the standard app for Twitter. Changing the colors and cutting out most of the adds is great! Best of all you can cut and paste from with in the app. But I wish it had a different layout than the original, However that might make it slower or harder to read on a cell phone - like many of the other apps for twitter

It shows replies, polls and retweets numbers like Twitter app does. It shows the replies accurately and it blocks the ads! Big cons are: 1. replying can't be seen as it's covered by the keyboard and it an issues with the app itself. 2. Voting at polls don't work anymore. 3. After following a link it doesn't want to go back to the post with back button. 4. If you do the refresh action while looking at a picture, back button will close the app instead of existing the photo. Etc

Biggest negative is that the character counter isn't visible while typing/editing a tweet. I have to keep closing the keyboard to see the end of the tweet & counter during editing. Having to do that repeatedly is time-consuming, annoying & contributes to errors. This is a dealbreaker for me. I do love the ability to easily download videos, pics & gifs w/i the app. Now I use the actual Twitter app most of the time and only switch to Friendly to download videos, gifs & pics.

I love that it doesn't show ads like the official app. However, this app will lag then crashes after some time using it. And when I click on links that take me out of the app and come back to the app the whole thing just froze so I have to restart it. Also the report a tweet window shows blank. I can't upload image after one of the past updates.

Updated 2/2021: app dark mode no longer works. Between this and the fact that the text box is constantly obscured by the keyboard (an issue I noted with my original review that I'd hoped would be fixed and has not), the app is looking less appealing. Otherwise, Lightweight, intuitive app. Friendly allows more interaction than other apps I've used (Tweetcaster, and Twidere, in particular). Friendly allows you to participate in polls from the app.

Honestly better to just add a website shortcut to your home screen. Seems to just be a dedicated web browser. Has issues with clicking through to posts and media - it'll get stuck in the post/media view with the 'close' button not working and the 'back' command closing the app. Can fix by refreshing the page and clicking the 'home'button before it disappears. Doesn't have access to the storage permission so you can't download anything despite having a prominent download button.
