The only thing I can say about the new update is that it looks cleaner. Other then that, it's a mess. If you have multiple shells gas stations in your area, the map is cluttered with bubbles, all clustered together. What happened to the list where it clearly showed you all your options better, and it showed your points? Now you have to go to the bottom and stroll, pick a gas station, pull it down and stroll to see if that one is good for you. Too time consuming.

Update: I had updated this review to suggest a workaround (sideloading an older version of the app 3.6.3 from apkmirror). Now those older versions that didn't crash won't open without forcing me to update. It's almost as if they don't want us to use their app. Not happy. Original review: Used to work fine. One day it just started crashing every time I tried to open it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times, clearing the cache and app data each time, but the app still won't open.

When it works, it works great. But sometimes it gets glitchy. Great rewards system though. Been using FR since it's inception a decade ago and it has gotten better with time. Has easily saved me probably close to $1,500 over the last decade. And the ability to stack rewards is a nice feature. The only thing I wish is that they had a 35 gallon limit like Kroger instead of a 20 gallon limit.

After the most recent update, all my app does is beg for location services to be turned on everytime (It already is!!) The pop-up box shows up everytime I do anything in the app. It takes me to my settings when I hit yes, which shows my phone already has location service on. I go back to the app and the dumb pop-up box is back again. It's a loop of annoyance. Now there's an ugly banner at the top as well begging for location to be on. IT'S ALREADY ON!!

The prices listed on the screen are those of nearby stations - with the cents already removed. The pricing between stations is highly variable - and some cannot seem to get the location's signs to stay working (and you get to guess what the price might be). And sometimes the at the pump receipts still won't print, even after relaying the issue to the station.

Glad it shows participating stations. But when I try to use my rewards at the pump it 9/10 times fails. Also, when calling customer service for help, they told me that since I called prior to some of my points expiring, that if I call back after they expire that they could reinstate them. Sounded too good to be true, so I kept track of the customer service person's name, their supervisor they had offered to confirm with, case #, ECT. Called back a few days later and was told that's not possible.

The simple user interface is intuitive, and it just simply works! Used to be seamless with T Mobile Tuesdays, now that fluctuates with having to paste a code. Edit: dropped to 3 stars due to the persistent location permission banner. Edit edit : Dropped it another star due to "how are we doing", I click "not now." Repeats same message 3 times in 15 seconds. So here I am again.

Works much better lately. One gripe is the rewards progress boxes are empty. They show I have $10 to go, but doesn't say what I have to do to earn that reward. Another issue is the persistent request for location permissions. Older review: Annoying because it keeps asking me to rate the app, so I did. Older review: Keeps crashing and giving errors. I cleared cache and reinstalled. No help.

I enjoy the program and savings, which add up over time, but the app itself is terrible in telling you how you earned discounts and keeping a good history of such. Good deals pop up often enough and Shell is one of the more reputable in fuel but it's frustrating to not know specifics on your discount earnings and how things drop off so quickly. *edit* Not much has changed. The UI is still bad. The info is bad and they altered the program late last year to add a "Platinum status" which is a scam

So buggy! I've had to create and ditch two accounts just to get this to work for a few months. It freezes up or gives a 'system error' when uploading a reward code. Freezes up when you open it to see what your offers are. It's just a pain and has been for a few years now. Years. This needs to be fixed and has needed to be fixed for years. Years.....

I used to LOVE using this app to save on gas, but recently, it has stopped tracking my dining rewards. I had an issue and had to recreate my account, and since then, it hasn't tracked any of my linked dining rewards to convert to fuel rewards. This used to work great, but if this can't be fixed, I might as well delete it. I liked the fact that I could eat at some of my favorite places and save money on fuel.

Would have a higher star, but I get emails about offers to save. The offers in my email never match the app. I don't usually open the app, so I follow the email offers and make purchases, then come to find out I got a lower amount of savings. Savings are savings, but it's not cool to tell me one thing and then do it differently. Example: Buy 3 Rockstars and save .25 per gallon, I make the purchase and only get .10 per gallon.

Sense the last update, it wiped out my saved credit cards and will not accept American Express, either card. Error is "invalid card"! Except you didn't share that the cards were wiped out and no longer accepted by your app. Which caused me to lose twenty cents a gallon last week! And they will not work when "scanned in either. Update 4-23-2024 The last update wiped out my login id & password! Other apps update without doing this, why can't you. And when this happens, we find out when we attempt

My first few transactions were documented in their system but didn't apply for using 10 gallons of premium or more for like 4 times in a month gives you something, I forget. Was a waste. Only good benefits are researching gas station prices and when you use everytime you get 5¢ off. The best: after like 3 or 4 months of usage, there were 2x I got over a dollar off. After using the dollar plus off, the savings goes back to 5¢. Great deal, but you have to accumulate transactions for it to work.

still has not gotten better. who wants to be tracked all the time...Could be so much better, how about a digital bar code in the app that can be scanned by the cashier so I don't have to type an alternate code or carry a card? Discounts are not great but every little bit helps. One last thing... don't stop the pump at 20 gals, just revert to the basic discount, especially if it's just $0.05 anyways

Gas prices are almost always missing for many stations are the prices are listed for the wrong grade. For instance, for a couple of stations in my area, the V power premium price is listed as the mid-grade and vice versa. There is also a station listed in my area that is actually two counties and 45 miles away. I have emailed via the support ticket a couple of times about this and they won't fix it.

This app work great for awhile so that I can get platinum status for the 10 cents discount. I noticed that the app stop tracking since the end of Aprill. None of my transaction since April counted toward my 12 needed for platinum level. Now three weeks from the end of the quarter and I need 8 more fill ups for platinum. I should be at 8/12. Even though i get the email receipt each time from Shell. I emailed CS my bank statement and they didn't credit me for the transactions. Fix your app!!!
