Update October 1, 2018 Uninstalled...not sure how many years I've used this app as well as the launcher but I'm done. Both apps install annoying, unwanted add-ons that would not remain disabled. Update May 2018 I wish there was an option for a negative star rating. The latest update is the absolute worst update this app has had. Deleting this app...I've disabled the redundant Call Widget multiple times per day only to have it reenable itself. How frustrating that a messaging app hijacks your phone after phone calls. Not only does it display incorrect info, it places ads on the home screen. I was using SMS Pro for SMS not for it's caller ID "features". Why not just make it a paid app if all it does is force you to get so fed up with all the ads and unnecessary features that you either upgrade to paid plan to get rid of ads or completely delete the app? Wouldn't it be simpler than disappointing so many loyal users with bloat? 04/11/18 Now it has adware that shows up as a lock screen which you CANNOT disable. Deleting the app...too many ads. I used to be so happy with this app. Now I can't do anything on my phone without some type of ad popping up. 😤

I dont know what's wrong with this app today. I get no sound notifications at all even though it's set to. I've never had this issue before. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still get no sound. I keep checking my settings and it definitely shows I should be getting sound notifications. Now I gotta watch my phone for texts. Not happy and want to know what the fix is.

I have used this for years. It is now broken and is a nightmare to use. I had this as my primary communication tool after a nasty divorce. Honestly the fact that they still have yet to fix any of the issues, yet put out more intrusive ads, including a bar that you can't seem to deactivate should show you where the priorities lay with them. Not worth a dime any more. Used to be high quality and is pure garbage now. They only care about money and not about fixing it for those that pay for it. I ended up going with pulse. I recommend anyone else using this to do the same.

This app no longer works after recent update...can't send messages without force closing and re-opening app. LED light not working. Mystery vibrations with texts...such a bummer. Ive been using this app since launch , and this is the worst it's been...(jan 2019) *update* same bugs persist now almost a year later since i posted my last review... I uninstalled it for a while and hoping that I could come back to it and it would work... But that doesn't seem to be the case (12/11/19)

I have been using this app for YEARS. Probably 10+ years. And I loved it. It's always the first thing I download when I get a new phone. But. It updated a few days ago, and now there are huge, full-screen ads, every time I try to do anything. Click on the icon to go into the app: Ad. Click the back button to go from a text back to the main panel: Ad. Click a link in a text: ad before it will open. It's ridiculous!

Update: Uninstalling. No available customer support anymore and messages are not sending and not getting received. Was great for a good while. Thanks. So far I'm loving this app. The update initially threw me off but now that I understand how to utilize the private box, I love it again! Can someone tell me how to make it so the notifications appear on the corner of my screen again in a stack or is this feature no longer accessible?

I don't like the idea of having to pay for this app and still have to receive ads. I am unable to reply to a text without having to open the app completely. If I forget to completely open the app, I have to "select all" cut, close the message, open the app, paste and send. No, it doesn't take long, but it is a pain in the potacho. I also hate the stupid extras that are available for purchase. They are not something I would use even if they were free. Recommend you keep shopping.

I used this app about six months. Had no problems. I deleted it to clear up space on my phone. I missed having a cool text message theme so I downloaded it again. I set up the black theme, the font the custom keyboard just like I had it except there's a problem. I can't set GO SMS PRO as my default messaging app anymore. The option doesn't even appear. I looked around my phones settings, it's an android, there's nothing I can do. The only option available for sms messages is the default app.

I use to loving this app. When I transferred this to my new device. It started charging me $9.99 a month or $59.99 yearly to use the private mailbox now. It gives you 3 Day Free Trial, $59.99/year. After 3 Day Free Trial, then extends to annual subscription for $4.99/mo, $59.99/year cancel anytime. Yes, once you cancel they still charge for the month r two and then they cancel your subscription. I don't think this is fair since I've been using this app for the past 10+ years

I love it i can change it to my moods: ) however it crashes a lot and sometimes you have to close it and reopen it to send a message. Which gets annoying when you just typed a paragraph and have to close it and reopen it. 02/17/2020 Got a new phone and installed the app on the new phone and now I'm not getting messages. So so disappointed especially because I paid for this app. So angry. 02/18/2020 Update hubby change settings on his phone and now it's working. So happy.

This app was fine, the ads were annoying but I didn't mind too much. I loved that I could customize it instead of using the default "white with your own image". The thing that ticked me off was the fact that I put a message in the privacy box, forgot my password, and I've resent the verification code over 20 and it won't show up in my gmail. Now all the messages I sent that person are gone and it pisses me off I loved rereading the messages. There's no contact help either so I'm screwed for trying to get them back

Love this app, been rocking with the app for 5 years... hasn't disappointed me yet UPDATE: I've started not receiving some of my texts. Decided to uninstall the app then reinstall it....major problems since. Constant popping up of notifications at the top of the screen is annoying, had to redo all my personalized settings for my msgs. All my msgs in my Private Box have disappeared....nowhere to be found. Don't understand but you guys should fix this ASAP

I'm very disappointed with this app and how you've managed to turn this into a commercial market app. You guys keep telling us to update to these newer versions, but nothing is changing. I'm not going to use this terrible app anymore because I feel there is no integrity when it comes to responses, no changes in the functionality and too many unnecessary ads. Now it's so bad that when I send a text, my phone is now vibrating when the text goes out. This is unacceptable to me and I can't deal with this nonsense. Thanks but no thanks!

This has been my favorite message program for 3 to 5 years now. It's still pretty, functional, and awesome in all ways except one... The ads have become intrusive to the point of interrupting the use of other apps. Push ads will interrupt anything you are doing including navigation and/or important work-related conversations. I'm out.

I've used this app for years and have always loved it...BUT...I've NEVER been able to send and receive photos consistently. Never. It gets quite frustrating. Also I'm having the same issue as others are saying, where I go to reply and the send button doesn't work so I have to exit and go back to it. Guys, c'mon. I've PAID for the full version and it glitches like a cheap app would. Please don't let me down. I'm about to switch to something else, I hate to say it. I've been loyal for years...

Been using chomp sms and I thought I'd try this. Started with 7.91. It was ok but had the same problems as everyone else. Downgraded to 7.87 works better but still have issues with mms. Group messaging works fine. Don't understand why, if I am texting someone and decide to send them a picture along with text, it wants to create a new (different) dialog. I'll try downgrading again to a previous version and see if the problem goes away. Like the themes etc. Guess I got a bit spoiled using chomp.

I can't believe how much I love GO SMS Pro! So much texting fun! Love choosing LED colors & text tones for all my friends so I immediately know who has texted me!!! My default app didnt have that option. *Ok now I'm sad because can't use LED color change on this phone & the different colored icons aren't supported on my phone running Kitkat. They just show up default. 😣 Still best messaging app ever & I'll never use the default on my phone's ever again! GOSMSPro forever!!

I have loved this app forever. Change my themes all time, even make my own but recently it has been a big pain. Messages don't send. Photos don't send on 1st try only on second. I'm not getting all my messages. I've had an issue a few time the past & was fixed pretty quickly. But now it's all the time & I can't get thru to get help. Been going on for while now. I've trying to be patient hoping they'll get this straighten out soon, but.. Beginning to loose hope. Please fix before delete it

I loved this app at first. when I downloaded it said, one time fee. Every year it goes up in price. Too bad you aren't people of your word. I've contacted the people at Go SMS in every way I know how, to try to get an answer. More than once. I've still not received a reply. 60 dollars a year seems steep for an app to message with. I do love the ability to customize the app so completely.

app won't load past the loading screen. and just when you think it might load, it goes to a black screen and crashes. I've had this app in the past and loved it! hopefully this can be fixed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, with no change. I tried to contact the help email, but got an auto response that the inbox was full and my message wasn't delivered.
