Worst customer service experience, my first switch, porting numbers in They only ported one phone number, losing one, so I had to get another, then charged me full price for the promo phones they said were new lines, but I ported. As I was leaving because $96 for 2 lines, that always dropped calls while in the most open of areas was enough for me. I switched service, and again, they only ported one saying they couldn't switch the other without access to my minor child's email.

Google Fi Wireless is way more expensive than competitors and for pretty poor data speeds. They are also extremely unhelpful regarding billing. I changed jobs, so my pay cycle was changed. I asked to change my billing cycle by one week to align with my new pay cycle. I was told it was not allowed and I had to keep the date I originally signed up. There was no work around even though I said I would pay the difference upfront. Unhelpful, overpriced, and overrated. Switching to Mint for $15. Bye.

I've had no issues with this app. It lets you view usage & billing & change settings, etc. Many reviews are about the fi service vs the app. I must say that I have none of those issues in reviews. I was W/Verizon for years, afraid to switch & risk poor coverage. I've been using fi now for maybe 10 yrs(ish). Not sure, but it was when they only had the 1st pixel phone. Now I have a pixel 7. Reception is excellent, service good, price $80 less than same plan & usage W/Verizon. It's wonderful!

Despite being a Google Fi Wireless user, this app stopped working a couple of updates ago. Naturally, Google will suggest that that they will help me fix it by making changes on my cell phone this is a faulty approached by Google, since this failure started with an update to this app. It keeps closing during the setup process. Unfortunately the previous version enables me to complete the setup process but now I'm stuck. Latest version of (03/11) still not working. Google's update broke this app.

I have used Google Fi since 2017; in the early days it worked great. I don't know what happened but the service is extremely poor. Now, I rarely have access to cellular services if I'm not on Wi-Fi. It will show me with 4 bars and 5 G connectivity but it does not connect. Additionally, the cost for the plan is higher than many others plans.

I'll review only the app quality/functionality itself. It's genuinely probably the best cell service management app that exists. I've used many others so far. It's one of the upsides that make me willing to accept any downsides of Google Fi. For contrast, almost every time I tried to complete a task in the T-Mobile app, I ended up needing one (or three) frustrating phone calls to actually get it done, if the app even worked at all. Being able to easily do something on my own is underrated.

Google Fi has gotten to be a horrible experience. It seems like the data is throttled up front to maximize its use (basically defaulting to data as opposed to wifi), which results in receiving free data in the plan, BUT, once that happens, data coverage becomes really poor. Phone coverage, too. Add a Pixel 7a into the mix and I seemed to be the only person in the area that didn't have coverage today.

The app is fine, the service is good, the throttling though? Atrocious. If you hit your monthly limit you will be throttled to speeds in the KILOBITES per second. KILOBITES! You'd think that paying for unlimited data would mean throttling to an actually usable speed after 50 gigs but no. Even 5-10 megabites is usable and if it was in that range I wouldn't even mention it in the review, but if you hit the "limit" for unlimited data you don't ever go higher because its unusable. Unlimited my 🍑

Its seems that every time I get a great deal and purchase a plan and phone's and get to the part where I get conformation only order and get financing for it my phone gets damaged from a cracked screen or other things that are out of my control. I go back to check and see. Its not there and I can't get the order and goggle fi. After I paid for it. Card statements are even worse because itd Direct Express. One of these times I hope I get e everything that I want

The phone service price and coverage area are great but upgrading your phone through Google fi was an absolute nightmare. I tried over and over to use my bank debit card and it kept telling me that it was a prepaid card which it's not. it's an actual bank and I have my paychecks direct deposited into that account every week, so it was rough.

service ok for city, but not for traveling. Especially, if you travel for work, don't believe the coverage map on the website. I travel for work around Nevada and got GoogleFi by looking at the map on the website (zooming in and typing in mulitple zip codes). Definitely, not nearly accurate in the territories, I feel scammed. Again, in Cities, its ok.

I cannot express enough how insane it is to me that a cell phone can have full 5G signal or be on Wi-Fi and be unable to connect to the internet. This has been a consistent problem for *years*, and it's been made crystal clear that Google has no intent to fix it. If you only need your phone occasionally for emergencies, it's cheap compared to most other plans. But if you actually need a phone, like say, for a job or literally anything else? Choose another provider.

I use a Pixel 6a, so in theory this should be a pretty good experience. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The data download speeds are mediocre and variable. Occasionally I would disconnect (not specific to any geographic location) and would have to restart the SIM to reconnect. Dropped calls got old. When you go over the data limit, they throttle you to 2g, which struggles so bad sometimes Google maps thinks I'm offline. 0/10 do not recommend.

The service is good when I can connect to it. I've had trouble since transporting my number over to Google-Fi with connecting to mobile data after disconnecting from Wi-Fi. I've contacted support, uninstalled and reinstalled the Google-Fi app, the eSIM, reset my network settings, everything and I'm still having this problem. I'm about to switch to another carrier.

The app almost functions like it's supposed to. I've not seen any crashes but the widget can't keep up. It's out of date until I touch it to go to the app. This used to work fine. This review is about the app not the Fi service or products. Just because you live in a bad service area has nothing to do with how the app works. There's simply not enough space allowed here to voice my opinion on Google's products or customer service (or the lack thereof).

If I'm connected to wifi and step onto my back porch during a call, my voice begins to cut out and distort. To the person on the other end, I sound like I'm a robot or using a voicebox or something. As I'm leaving this review, I just missed out on scheduling a medical appointment because of this problem. The problem is solvable by hanging up, disconnecting from wifi, and calling back. But that's embarrassing for me and inconvenient for the other person.

2 stars because, most months, it is inexpensive. Two complaints: (1) at home on wifi, the quality is not what I would expect, there are odd breaks in calls or occasionally the other party cannot hear anything on initial pick up . No similar problem with WhatsApp. (2) While traveling in South America, the data Fi resells is nowhere near the quality of the data in the US. This results in having to repeatedly try tasks, which chews up ... data. 35 minutes on the phone with support - no resolution.

As far as service goes and call quality, it's great. However, they took $400 for not meeting terms (which I did meet them) out of my account and apparently the people who did it I cannot speak to. I keep getting the runaround on email and when I talk to customer service absolutely disgusted potentially going to void my contract over this nonsense Edit* I have been refunded my money, granted an exception so long as I meet the rest of the requirements. I changed from 2 to 4 stars.

had a data spike caused by YouTube smart downloads. I believe it reverted to default settings when a update happened. Causing it to download over mobile. The data warning didn't come till that night 3 hours after, so don't rely on that for accurate up to date information. It isn't worth figuring out more than this.

Coverage is Terrible! My T- service worked great everywhere. Never had to think about it. Since switching to Fi, I can barely make calls in my neighborhood. Data is slow everywhere. Would not recommend. At least the plan options and app are straightforward. Edit: "Unlimited" is NOT unlimited. This is a TOTAL LIE. For the price, Fi is a Rip-Off.
