I have had my Pixel Watch for over a year. Suddenly, it has stopped tracking health stats. Specifically 12/21/23 was the last day of detail on Fitbit dashboard, It shows me some stats on the watch itself like heart rate and exercise stats. The time and type of exercise is syncing but not the energy or heart rate stats. Sleep also stopped tracking on that day. 12/29- Found a post about updating watch. That fixed my health, and broke other things. Unclear which company owns each part of device :)

So much suckage packed into such a small app! Five times to install, reinstall, and reinstall and then it nags for the unlock pattern every time I go to manipulate the watch. So disappointing. Details for the dev team: Pixel 7 Pro phone, Android 14. New, OOTB Pixel Watch 1. I'd expect this to be a friction-free setup. Wasn't. Many, many Bluetooth disconnects; app freezes; blank screens. Nearly 4 hours of fiddling to finish setup. The devs are capable of better and hope to seeing better soon.

I appreciate the response, but 3 months later we have yet to receive an update that lets us customize our smart watches. I continue to instinctively hit the crown button... More of a critique of the watch, but being unable to reprogram the side and crown buttons is just bad user customizability. Can you please consider implementing such customization options? I don't use Google pay, and I often hit the crown button to view notifications but it just shows my apps.

could be better. needs to have more creative watch faces. the watch doesn't feel like its well integrated with the pixel devices. it's almost like an after thought. the way the watch behaves is very basic. nothing special compared to the cheapest apple watch se. Google needs to fire the UI design team and create a UI that is beautiful and useful. this is very lack luster. has no real feel of integration.

Frustrating! It is no longer respecting the mute notifications setting after the latest watch update. This was buggy before and had to be toggled often, but is now 100% no longer working! Update: those are the settings that have been inconsistent, often turning off at random. I've solved some of my issues by fully resetting the watch. My Pixel 8 was listed twice under Bluetooth, once as "Pixel 8" and once with the correct device name and connected to the wrong one. That's what the reset fixed.

I switched from an Apple watch and am incredibly surprised to find the Pixel watch is LESS customizable. It's kind of ridiculous you can't even change the notification sounds. The watch also doesn't play as nicely with a pixel phone as I would have expected. For example, it's annoying when I'm driving with Android auto and try to get navigation going through "Hey Google". The assistant on the watch will respond and start navigating on the watch, but not on Android auto. Feels like a beta.

I'm happy with the watch itself, but the interface of the app could be more intuitive. Navigation doesn't feel smooth and I feel like I'm always looking for settings that aren't there. Also, the most recent update seems to have broken the notifications on one of my apps. All settings are the same and turned on, but I no longer get notifications from my habit tracker app to my phone. Kinda disappointing as it was one of the things I used my watch for the most.

Started off well, but my watch recently factory reset itself without warning or my approval. Since then, I've been having issues with notifications and my watch "waiting to back up" even though it's already connected to power and wifi. Looks like I'm going to have to factory reset it again, without the certainty of a backup, since I can't seem to get it to realize that it's time to start backing up. Edit: the setup process is fragile? Many ways for things to go wrong (and they do).

the screen is really small and I am farsighted, so it is hard to see anything smaller than the time. I wish they had more watch faces and options so that it would be more useful during workouts. Another thing I would prefer is the watch be larger, in general. I think it could be more fashionable. Final issue is the lack of apps that are on Fitbit that are not on pixel.

Calendars don't sync. Syncs fine on my fossil 6. Bonus points for giving me a notification that the developer responded, but then not being able to show me the developer response in the Play store app. I would remove stars if I could. Edit: Nice! And added bonus is that anytime you reset your password you also get to reset your watch! Fantastic feature y'all 💜❤️💜❤️

The workout watch face changed to a list making it useless when having a vigorous workout and quickly looking down at the watch to see the field you are interested in. It use to have the fields in each corner, which made it easy to find what you want. Now it's in a list, it's just a bunch of useless numbers unless you stop your workout to read the fine print.

the app is short sighted. lacks in ease of use. automation is the key. app store is not the easiest to sort through. I appreciate googles quick response. 2/13/24 Over a year I still can not not give a better rating than 2. I feel the apps are too convoluted with the phone apps and after using the the apple watch app it is much easier to use and interface regardless if I like the pixel. Also I very much disliked the Fitbit app having so many apps does not make things easier to operate one product

It worked fine until today. Now the app is constantly sending notifications that the app stopped working. Whenever I try to open the app it automatically closes so I cannot do anything with it. I emailed the support email address listed above to get an auto-reply saying that they no longer monitor that email. Interesting.... May be they should remove that email above?? The app is beyond useless at this point. I'd give zero stars if I could.

It's just "meh". A lot less functionality than I'd expect at the price, the battery dies quickly when used as anything other than just a watch, the band leads to a rash if I leave it on all day, even if I keep it dry, and a lot of apps require you to "open on phone" to view fully. Wouldn't buy it again.

THIS WATCH SUCKS!! The battery dies like 2-3x per day no matter how much I charge it, the functionality for some accessibility tools is glitchy, the screen does not 'turn on ' when I look at it (even during daylight hours, or during my 'on' schedule time), and I'm not a fan of the back functionality. I absolutely LOVED my hand me down Google sense watch, b4 it broke, but this one is a HUGE disappointment!

Won't fully connect. Buying this, watch with a new Pixel 8 pro, was a mistake and waste of money. It should be easy to setup but it never fully did that. I'm an IT pro and it confused me from start to finish. This is worse than the old tales of flashing 12:00 on the VHS VCRs you might hear older people talk about. Of course Fitbit won't connect either.

People can't hear me well sometimes, or it gets staticky at times. Also, it gets really hot when you use it for exercise. It felt so hot once, it felt like it was burning me and told me to needed to be turned off to cool down. I was on the treadmill. Overall, I am liking it, but I was expecting it to be similar to a really cheap phone or at minimum the same as my fitbit. It's just slightly less than. I have the Google Pixel 2.

Poor app poor watch, cannot use petsonal photos on face despite following directions provided by google when googled, they do not line up with what app does for pixel watch 2. They don't work. Highly disappointed. Custom faces issue aside, the app is extemely basic, and simple and doesn't really do much. And if you want any of the fitness stuff from the watch you need to load Fitbit and use that app. The watch is sleek. A good, not overly bulky in size that will work "ok" on smaller wrists.

Frustrating. 90% of the time I glance at my watch for the time and instead find a notification of some kind. I am constantly trying to find and eliminate notifications. Infuriating. I must physically touch face or push knob. Very inconvenient. Short battery life. All the apps useful to me increase battery use so I do not use. With google Fit it is somewhat useful although steps sporadically disappear. Band is very comfortable.

This app is great - the interface is clear and it's functionality is intuitive. Intermittent connectivity issues with my watch (which manifest when I'm changing aesthetics) keep me from rating 5 stars. I can't be too harsh though, this could be a problem with my (fairly old) phone. Many peripherals have their own apps for support and control: this one, true to Google form, is fantastic.
