Interesting mechanics and beautiful visuals make for an enjoyable hour. But $5 seems a bit much given the breadth of content out there that gives you a better return on investment. Still, purchased with Google Rewards credit, it was worth it. But maybe wait to see if it goes on sale. And I can't imagine paying $15 on PC or console. I didn't see any of the technical issues others are complaining about. And it's definitely not a random point and click. Requires some lateral thinking, but logical.

The art is GORGEOUS and the game flow is relatively smooth. Maybe for future games consider changing the zoom from double click to a drag and drop? It's easy to accidentally toggle out of zoom, and the 4x4 layout is too small to see all the amazing detail on mobile. Also, making animated panels bigger until the animation is over would highlight the beautiful design. Overall worth the $ just for the artwork imo

This is a fantastic, unique game with beautiful and interesting art/graphics. It definitely makes you think. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because this game was $4.99 but there is only about 2-3 hours of gameplay (at least for me). My rule of thumb for a good purchase is that I spend at least an hour per dollar playing the game. If the game was longer or had more content/levels it would be worth $5.

To say this game is mind-blowing would do it a disservice. Visually, it's stunning. Aside from that, we have the unusual gameplay, something I've never seen before, and the underlying haunting story of a city in ruins and its injured inhabitants, all too reminiscent of war-torn countries in the news. There are puzzles here, and they do involve a bit of perseverance, but I wouldn't call this a puzzle game; the puzzles seem more a way to understand this world. Easily one of the best.

the zooming system (double tap) is so broken that I almost through my phone out the window. not only its too similar to how you explore (two single taps too close toneach other and youre sooming out - ARRRRRRRRHHH!!!) but the game is also zooming in and out all the time incoherently so much you feel youre getting epilepsy. That being said, the game is so good and so smart that it still deserves 5 stars easily. So good, so smart and poetic. Would be 7/5 with a better UI around zooming.

Gorogoa, is an absolutely beautiful puzzle game and is fun to play. The puzzles can be tough at times, but the solution is usually something simple that has been over looked. The music and sound effects are unobtrusive and blend seamlessly into the game. My only complaint is that it is a little short, otherwise I highly recommend this game, for puzzle gamers such as myself.

Absolutely stunning. Calming, yet very addictive! Music, artwork, creative puzzles, darkness and light--all of it, just breathtaking. I almost wish it were longer, but the ending was satisfyingly complete and perfect as all the rest, and an encore might have diminished the whole. Thank you for this experience.

Beautiful game, awesome score, amazing atmosphere. The format allows for really creative mechanics, but most of them we only see briefly because there are some many ingenious ideas one after the other. My only complaints are minor; the plot is kind of hard to follow and there are a lot of characters to keep track of. It feels more like a first act then a completed game (especially for 5$). It ends when I thought the story was just taking shape.

Wow. I read someone finished this game in four hours. It's taken me twenty hours over several evenings to reach the fifth -- and final -- level. I got to the "boy falling" scene tonight. I just realized I haven't quite finished. This game is relaxing and frustrating at the same time. Very well done! Cons: Odd user interface. Annoying "zoomed in" view; this helps visibility-impaired players however. Back button does not exit: a stupid thing is now common.

Gorogoa is a fresh take on interactive puzzle games. I was thrilled to get to teach myself how to interact with this world and it was a very rewarding process to progress. The story itself has a decent pace too. If you take a break between gaming sessions, you might have to solve a short section again but it doubles as a refresher as to what was going on. The sale got me, idk if you'll find it worth full price though. Regardless, you will have to think outside the box to get through this one!

Utterly unlike any other phone game I've played. Beautiful, innovative, lovingly made, and slightly tragic in tone. The only two blemishes are the fact that it's somewhat short, and game saves are a bit unreliable; on several occasions I had to return to the start of the current chapter because it failed to pick up where I left off. Completely worth your time and money.

What a unique, engaging approach to gameplay mechanics! Also, the story has kept me wondering, even after finishing it. I've replayed it a few times to really appreciate the artwork and animations (double-tap a panel to enlarge it) and to revisit the story. This game was clearly the result of much love, and easily worth the asking price. I'm a bit sad I can't discover it from scratch all over again. I wish it was longer. What beautiful escapism! I look forward to this developer's next project.

Stunning! The simple storyline is easy told without any words. The artwork evokes emotion and the mechanics of gameplay invite the user to explore the art to solve the puzzle. Like others, my only complaint is that it was too short for the price point. It's not something one plays again so I want something more than an hour of puzzles, beautiful though they may be

Worth every penny! Incredible! Maybe the most interesting and surprising and innovative puzzle game I have ever played! Just enough hints to not be super frustrating, but hard enough that you will not breeze through it without having to pause and think, and think some more. Music is fitting, surprisingly not annoying, changes in sound effects for things happening are brilliant! Already telling others to play! WOW! Love it! Great job devs!

Incredible. i just finished and I'm tingling with excitement and satisfaction. Challenging enough that I stepped away for a day or two several times, but achievable, especially with the change in perspective gained by stepping away. Plus it is extremely pretty. Also, no need for sounds or an ability to read, which I appreciate in a game. (The music when I did turn the sound on was good.) Highly recommend.

This is a pretty crafty puzzle game. The art is amazing and the way the puzzles are arranged are engaging. Do yourself a favor if you get stuck, DON'T LOOK UP HINTS. Every puzzle has a solution and sometimes its just about the way you look at it. That moment you figure it out, feels great! Also, get the mobile version. The Steam version is 3 times the cost for the same game. It took me about an hour to beat it so not worth $15 on Steam, but worth the price here.

This is such a in phenomenal visual puzzle game! The artwork is hand drawn, and had a depth to it that's unreal. You'll start to notice that there are multiple ways that a scene in the game ties together with the solution and how they interact. Also, the sound track is amazing, and compliments the gameplay perfectly. The story is mostly interpreted by the viewer, but definitely packs some atmospheric punch. I would give this game more than 5 stars if I could.

This is an absolutely beautiful game. Everything from the way puzzles naturally unfold, to the music, to... just... everything. The gameplay is great, requiring you to embrace an almost sort of dream logic (but not in the same sense of the old point-and-click types; think constantly shifting your perspective). Hard to describe, but worth every single penny.

I first posted a beta version of this game several years ago on PC and loved the experience. Periodically, I went back to check if any progress had been made and was disappointed that none had. Imagine my excitement to see a completed version available as a mobile download! As for a review the game had a unique mechanic of sliding around the frames on the screen to open up new areas to explore and make the frames interact with eachother. The goal is to collect 5 objects found throughout. Enjoy!

Such a beautiful game, fun game. I started it a while go, got stuck and put it down for a while. I came back to it played again from the beginning and really enjoyed it. You move a boy through different environments which you manipulate by shifting tiles of images to help him progress. My description barely does it justice, and I can't recommend it enough.
