Recent changes to this app have made it really unfriendly to use! There are 2 pop-ups every single time I open the app that there is no options to not have (asking for biometrics and notifications - if I don't want them, I shouldn't have to be asked every time!). Now, in whatever update has occurred in the last few days, I have to verify my device every single time (even though I am using the same device) and it doesn't make a difference if you select "don't ask me again," it still asks!

I have loved this app up until now. First, the fingerprint scan would not pop up when opening the app. Then, it would not accept a fingerprint at all even after changing them in my phone and continuously turning on the option to log in with fingerprint. Now it won't accept my password in the app even though it's literally the exact same one I use on Chrome. I have changed the password and still the app tells me my email and/or password are wrong. No, the app is wrong. Please fix this!

Very easy app to use! The fees are reasonable and very small and what I really like about it is they go to plant more trees!! The only issue I'm having (and have EVER had) with the app Is getting a copy of my bank statement. It prompts me to log in. While I'm entering my login credentials, it glitches out and starts you all over. There's no way to input the information and press the button to login before it starts you over. I am having the same issue with their webpage.

Is the app even tested? 1. If you change your password the finger print login does not work. I signed in with password turned off and on finger print login, still does not recognize the new password, may be somewhere it has cached the old token. 2. It is a nightmare to add or remove an external bank account. I tried several differnt times and gave up, had to use the website to add my 2nd bank account. I started using this because of the environment promise but the experience is challenging!

The App runs on Molasses. Aspiration + for 7.99 a month is steep considering the perks (or lack thereof). I had to email support about an issue and have yet to receive a response. I like knowing that the financial institution I've chosen to house my money is open to communicate with me whenever there is a problem, not stick me on a list and "get to me, when they get to me".

I keep getting charged a $2 monthly fee, even if I didn't set it up on their "pay what's fair" option. I asked customer service before and they said it was a glitch & took care of it but it turns out they never fixed it. I've been getting. charged $2 a month. This bank barely pays interest in their savings account. Read the fine print to know what your possible rate might be, depending on how much you deposit. I opened an Aspiration account thinking they were upfront with their fees. Their not.

Love the account, but the app has some issues which is important for an online-only bank. Sometimes the correct password, autofilled, is labelled incorrect. Sometimes this occurs with a fingerprint. Occasionally I have to wipe cache and data to fix this issue. Most of the time it ends up removing fingerprinting even when I don't. Sometimes when I log in, the account info is stuck loading despite other screens appearing.

My opinion, after several years with this bank, and a recent issue. Pros- I love knowing that I can help the planet by using this bank. The spend and save account and investment accounts are about the same as any other bank. CONS- I had an issue where I was unable to use my card, but I'd had no emails or any other notifications about any issues. When I called in, I had to speak to a supervisor who was able to fix it, as it was their error. So just know that they will NOT communicate any issues.

The app doesn't work--it keeps giving me an error message that says, "Oops! Parameter specified as non-null is null." I've reported it multiple times and reinstalled the app with no success. I can log in through the website, but not the app. Updated May 4, 2024. Still can't use the app. Have sent numerous screen shots and spoke with customer support countless times with no fix.

so far, the account creation process has been user friendly and simple. Still waiting to receive the card, and looking forward to have my phone bill paid for the phone insurance perk. Awesome stuff! The overall mission and values of the company seem great. Thats definitely a plus. I'm giving three stars because the very referral program that got me to sign up is strange. Neither myself nor the user who refered me received any sort of notification of confirmation of the referal, or any deposit.

I love aspiration and what they do, however the app needs work. Every time I open the app over the last 6 months, it'll ask me to apply for the credit card, then the app will freeze. When this happens, I can't press on anything within the app. Then I have to shut down the app, re-open it, and re-log in before it let's me do anything. This process can take up to 5 minutes depending on how many times the app feels like freezing. I really hope it's fixed soon because it's insufferable.

There is always room for improvements but I have no complaints. However, like most of recent reviews, login is an issue (incorrect email or password). I got it resolved by excluding app from Google VPN which I am not sure if everyone is using one (VPN). If that is the case, not sure if it is a security feature but maybe the error code should he a different one.

Biggest benefit is you know you're money's not funding things you don't want to fund. Otherwise, you get 0% interest, even in your savings, unless you pay big bucks for premium so you can earn less than your paying. The app is mostly basic, except the check deposit function is terrible. Frankly, it just doesn't work. You can go through the process, but taking a picture of the back of your check fails, you can't complete the process. Terrible. used to be happy w/Aspiration, but not in years.

I've had an account with them for a few months and it has mostly been fine. But lately (I think since the Nov 8 update) it's been telling me my email or password is wrong when I try to log in from the app. I am still able to log in from a browser, thankfully. But that's how I know the email and PW are not wrong. It must be the app. Edit: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it seems to be working again now. Hopefully it stays that way.

I have been using Aspiration as a second account next to Santander. Here are my experiences and pros and cons about them. Pros. easy to set up. Nice to pay what you want feature. Small interest on balance. Helpful when dealing with and issue. Cons. The check deposit feature is a nightmare. Everytime I try to deposit it doesn't take the pic of the check after numerous attempts and eventually have to to take it manually. Checks under $200 should automatically be available for speading not 2 days.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK! They keep changing their name, probably to avoid all of the CFPB charges after them. They have done this to me multiple times now, and their customer service is now UNREACHABLE. A legitimate transaction goes through, but they post it to my account multiple times, taking the funds from the multiple charges from my account making me go after the merchant, when every time now it's GreenFi taking my money and LYING. Their constant theft is EXPENSIVE!

They care so much about your security they will make the app very inconvenient to access so you just don't use it. There's nothing more secure than something you can't access. Doesn't allow me to autofill passwords. Sorry I'm not capable of memorizing 12 digit random passwords so I don't use the app. I just access through a browser.

this app drained all the savings in my account without my realizing it through hidden fees. I realized I have been charged an "inactivity fee" I had no idea about for 6 months. I thought it was no monthly fees. all the funds I deposited went too fees. they finally sent a notification that there was less then 100 in my account when I logged in there was 11 left. do not recommend to anyone

Decent bank, with issues, I've used Aspiration for several years based on a friends recommendation. I like that I could set my monthly fee at only 5$ month. There were a lot of glitches, I swore at least 3x a year that I was leaving this bank. They have dealt with incorrect payments very quickly.Their mailing of checks takes 10 days! ridiculous. And they don't have checks (free) for us. It will be interesting to get a cashiers check! Mixed bag.

An app that can't fulfill a basic purpose activating a debit card. The answer is to call an 800 number and deal with their computer system. Previously had problems with fingerprint logins failing and it's constantly telling me I need to re-add an account that had been connected for a few years. So a half baked app for a half baked bank. Glad I don't rely on this one for everyday uses.
