No ability to adjust playback speed to forward by certain speed or by motion. For instance, if an incident pccured you have to watch second by second instead of every 5 or 10 seconds.

I've used a fair number of camera systems and apps. This is really one of the best ones. They're all. Kind of flawed in one way or another, but GV works well where it counts. I have had issues not being able to watch recorded video at higher speed though. I hope they figure that out.

You should be able to fast forward while looking at the footage. I shouldn't have to scroll through it and hope to see something. We had a camera system before and caught a bunch of stuff because you could see everything while fast forwarding.

App is a little slower than I'd like, and playback of video to review is hard to manage (there's no 2x/4x/8x speed options, for example), but I can pull up the live feed for my cameras from anywhere.

The latest update has made this app less usable and even more frustrating to use. I can see the attempt to improve and would be a nice app if it just worked. PTZ functions are sluggish at best, and once in PTZ mode, there's no way to get back to the multi-camera view. Starting the app randomly requires biometrics - can this not be bypassed with no need of biometrics or password. I don't currently recommend this app, at least not in this poorly usable state. It has potential though.

I've had the video doorbell for a month or so and I used to be able to expand the view to almost full screen. Recently it stopped letting me expand the view to full screen. This is very disappointing since I did a lot of research prior to buying this doorbell. I called the company that i bought the doorbell from and they tried the same action on their phone. They got the same result. My wife's phone does the same thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone with no change.

This new version is a downgrade. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall an older version. The UX is a serious misstep compared to the older. Much more clunky. I can't easily swipe through my camera feeds. I have to hit the back arrow and go back into another camera. The full screen view is awful now. I'm sorry that I upgraded.

Worked fine at first but for the last 2 weeks it just keep loading then it says "failed to start playing". What's the point of updating an app when it suppose to work better but instead is ruined. I would give it a 0 start if I had the options because how I'm suppose to keep my home safe and the people inside when I can even see what's happening. This is ridiculous, please fix this problem!!

Potential bug? Cannot even use the app as of a couple of months ago. What happened? At first, the cameras were inaccessible. After much troubleshooting of our security system, we determined it had to be the app. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app to see if that could potentially work. It made things worse. I cannot add the device to the app regardless of the type of method I choose. Also, it asks me to provide permission to access my phone pictures (unnecessary). Please fix this.

Works okay for live video. Very laggy. Watching recorded video rarely works even when on the same network as the NVR - need to view locally/directly from machine. Occasionally goes "offline" even though NVR is still working. Does not come back until you manually reset NVR connection which defeats the purpose. This app is bad enough that I may replace my equipment in order to get better remote access.

Has never been spectacular but now it's pathetic! Yeah it looks a little more up to date but it's 10x slower than before which makes using it one of the most painful tasks I have to do. Even tho previously it didn't look like the fanciest app ever at least it ran fairly quickly and didn't bog my phone down so horribly that just trying to switch out of the app takes 60+ seconds! For the record this is a 2022 model phone and everything else on it flies, it's not outdated hardware or software.

The latest update ruined the program. Will only show One camera in an 8 camera DVR & that's while only showing 4 cameras at a time, the other three cameras shows the following message over the image. "No more connections allowed for this device." *If someone can please HELP. My program is locked in horizontal position. How do I make it useful in both horizontal and vertical position? I looked everywhere and cannot find the prompt.

When I first installed the App in Jan 2020 it worked great. I could add the doorbell. For the last 3-4 months (every since a power outage), I can get the doorbell wi-fi configured, but it will not add to the app. This means that I can view the camera through a DVR, but can't configure that I have a mechanical doorbell that should be rung. I've tried multiple times to get it to add to the app. My only hope is it to give the option to add via a LAN option (IP address) of the camera.

I was harsh in the email I sent to customer service but they never answer anyway. But after the update the app is working pretty good. The lag is gone in HD mode & I can view in playback instantly. So far so good. 2 things I wish they'd fix, 1 make it so you can view on a laptop or tablet 2 make the motion detection work. Have never had either work. ✌

Update made it worse, before I could just use visitor mode and all worked fine for years. Now it won't let me use it without "signing in" (for my safety... Yeah right). Plus some cameras just get the rotating circle then "Video Playing Failed". When it does connect it can't see all my cameras, just some of them. I have to select a camera and put it into HD mode, SD no longer works. New layout requires scrolling between cams. It was fine, now it's utterly useless. Looking for alternative now.

Some real (easy to fix) usability deficiencies make it too frustrating & time-consuming to easily review several cameras to find people and events. The playback timeline, for example, is "slippery", clumsy. It is difficult to precisely land on and play through recorded events. And, oddly, it has no speed scan! Combining these problems, you just spend too much time waiting for playback to reach EACH moment of interest, and then you have no choice but to watch through it only in real time.

Barely gets the job done, clunky. If you have a choice of a system with a better app please pick it. This let's you do what you need but not easily. It won't remember preferences like if you drag and swap cameras, or to always show my camera in HD. Getting the menu to come up requires tapping just right on the video, not so you accidentally drag or double click and then you better be fast to change an option. I wouldn't even try to do playback on here in the past, it's virtually unnavigable.

the app is good for the basic needs that you need for a security system. being able to look at your footage from your system via your phone. Or look at your cameras live. The only thing that I wish they would add which is why I didn't give it a 5 star is fast forward and rewind buttons. You gotta do that with your finger but you skip tons of footage going from 1 spot to the next. which isn't good for investigation and police matters.
