I like this game but I would love it if you can make it where people like me who want buy the chapters read them for free or make it where you have like 5 tickets to read so far then wait until the next day.

I love this game. I think the price tag is a bit high for the entire game, but it has been halved in the past and can be bought with google opinion rewards.

I love the game ^~^ i personally think that its worth the price its like $5 a chapter but the chapters are pretty long and basically all the lines are voiced aside from your own

Thought the app was free. I love the anime and would love to have the full experience of the game, but not everyone is made of money. So i am among the few who want to play but only has 13 cents in my bank account. Broke af ....... So long Hijikata senpai i shall forever be alone.

i hate that you have to pay for a chapter. especially $4... it doesn't sound much but that adds up. in the intro/chp 1 it felt more like a walkthrough too. I'm disappointed tbh

The porting is really impressive! I recomend just paying for the full game though as it should have about 60+hours of content the price is justifiable.

I really loved the anime so decided to give this game a try, just to find out you need to purchase all chapters which is already expensive and who knows how many chapters they are. Not everyone has the money to pay for this which is why a 3 star rating

Can only do the auto part but when you hit chapter one the game asks you to pay to continue if you don't you can't do anything. Slightly disappointed but I will keep it installed until i purchase a Google pay card.

It would be 100 times better if you could purchase the WHOLE story instead of 1 chapter at a time! That's 11.96 for 4 chapters! That is ridiculous! I don't mind paying for a story as long as it's the FULL story

Love the story Hakuoki but... paying for every single chapter is absolutely ridiculous, this is one of the worst freemium otome games I've played. There is no possible way to unlock chapters unless you pay real money. Even other games like "Ikemen" have a free chapter each day and ways to earn gems and gold as well. Not worth it.

I love this game, but 6 of the routes are missing. This version is the 3ds version, but the not the current one out for pc. This version only has 6 routes while the pc version has 12. If mobile is the only platform you can play, get this! If you own a pc get Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms on steam!

you have to buy to continue each chapter. Chap 1 is $3 already. I dont know how much $$ and how many chapters are there for each route. I will just not play at all and watch the anime for free. Bad marketing and false advertisement (dont say the game is free when it's not).

I love this game because it reminds me of my old RPG game. This game is great because it has CGs which represent certain scenes that can be replayed, full voice acting, and of course background musics. I love Saito and I choose him. His story, so far, is both heroic and dramatic. Hopefully, in the future, there will be a 'Hakuoki Fighting Game'. ^.^

Free. Guys, you can play this without a paywall. Just download a PSP emulator and the iso. You can unlock everything on the PSP (original) version without having to pay for them. You just need to play the game and make choices. Also, every single routes in the PSP version are free. Best of all, save and load options. I just download this to give you guys this information from an old fan. That is all.

It's not worth it. You still have to pay money to get further into the game. You get past the prologue and a bit of chapter 1 before then it asks you to pay to progress onto the common route before even getting into the routes. To me, this isn't good, especially when you have to pay to get the game, and then, some more just for the routes to be opened up to you?

I thought this game was absolutely stunning, the art, the music, attention to detail, there were very very few mistakes in translation which is amazing! I didn't get any of the official endings, but I did get the one with Kazama, and it was actually really cute? The story line was amazing, Everything was so beautifully done. Props to every single person who worked on this, they deserve it! Thanks for the amazing game! I wish the companies who worked on this the best of wishes! -Sincerely Beffey

I played this back when it was first released and it was amazing. Some in-app purchases but nothing forced. I wanted to play it again after so long and I read the reviews while installing and discover it now has a paywall to progress. Wow. Instantly cancelled. Everything is pay to win these days. Or pay to progress in this case.

I absolutely love this and i do understand that you need to make money but having to pay for every chapter is really upsetting. Is it not possible to have to pay for certain things and get the chapters for free instead? Genuinely curious here. The visuals are stunnig and its well made from the one chapter that i saw but. ya. I feel like it would be better if you guys didnt make the app free if u have to pay for everything else. Its a little misleading and disappointing when u do find out.

Not really free: pay per chapter. Around $15 for a story line or $23 for Premium app. Either way, too much for a 10 years old game port. Really nice controls. I like that it has an affection meter, but not sure how that works with purchases. Can't judge story, only the prologue I read, and it kind of failed at showcasing the characters. It was obviously thought as a full game were you slowly get to know them and find their routes, not one where you immediately have to choose which route to buy.

The "in-app" purchases mean it's unable to be played without paying. You get the prologue and part of chapter 1 before it asks you to pay to continue down any route. I had hoped that it'd have at least one route for free, but it doesn't. If it had, I might've been willing to pay for other routes but at this point it looks like a money grabbing scheme. You can't even tell what quality it'll have.
