Worth your money! Solid RPG/Defense game. The only issues i have is the optimization and performance. - - -Edit: FINALLY AN UPDATE! the game are much more stable now, it run smoothly and with less bugs! There's also a free version of the game now which i don't know what's the difference. But in case you wondering, the paid version is worth it. ---Edit (2): just found out it has controller support. This game is definitely worth the money....it gets difficult real fast but thats what makes it fun....my only complaint is the forge...especially the guns. Reforging weapons need to be reworked, keeping the specs(and action) of one with the looks of another doesn't really make sense. Why not just make the specs and effects random (chances of good specs are dependant on rarity of items used) and keep the action the same as the one used for looks.

I bought the premium version because I thought it wouldn't crash like it did before on the free version, but I guess I was wrong putting it to 1 star until it's fixed. I won't spend anymore till it's fixed :edit ty for fixing the crashing problem. Now I can finally have seige battles with it rushing me to beat it before it crashed

I see a lot of complaints that this is "too hard" and "p2w". Let me start by saying no, it's not, that's completely untrue. Now, that being said, it's Gods awfully frustrating and grindy, but rewarding. Nothing is better than when you've spent hours building up multiple heroes to see them own the battlefield side by side. Worth the purchase. To date I've only spent to buy the game iap is completely optional, no p2w. I've gained premium currency easy enough. Excellent job Devs!

The game is quite hard in the beginning. The time played to reward ratio is terrible. Not enough points rewarded to upgrade the hero and units. Consider adding a camera adjustment options. The screen gets too cluttered and becomes hard to see. It's a work in progress but I hope the devs continue to improve the game

Its a really fun game. I just want one thing. To be able to actually move with a bluetooth controller. All actions are maped except movement. Kind of counter productive when you still have ro touch the screen to move. Make the improvement and ill be happy to edit and make 5 star. Overall a wonderful game.

Complex and fun! Highly recommend! Very replayable. In now way a P2W, those reviews are wrong. Read the forums if you are lost. Not an easy game, tho! Strategic and action! Deep game as well with a lot of heroes & units & enemies, plus gear and loads of skills. 5 stars doesn't do this game justice compared to mediocre 5 star games in PlayStore. UPDATE: New Graphics Patch has made this game FLY on my phone! I always overlooked the graphical glitches , but this update is amazing! Thanks FM!

The game is pretty good but it can get grindy at times, right now I'm almost at the final castleas all i have left to do is grind the waves in the main castle away. The game as of now is pretty dead multiplayer wise and i can see why some would just refund the game after a little once they get stuck on a wave. Personally a sige mode would have been great for the game and if it was way less grindy like the first one. I just hope if a third cimes out it would take some of the good aspects from the first and combine it with the this.

Fun but it gets incredibly hard once you hit level 30. The game loses most of the fun at that point. Love the idea, not the best implementation. We should be able to still play the game at level 30 but when ever mob has 2500 hp and our hero must hit them 50 times to down one it gets a bit crazy. Desperately needs some balancing. Onto better games...

This game is great. It is a cut above the rest on mobile. The reasons it gets 3 out of 5 stars is because it follows a trend foursaken media seems to keep up and that is you pay for the game...and still its designed to be a pretty slow grind for currency while offering further pay transactions. Optional ofc. But still. Last is another theme their games seem to follow, just a bug or wtv im sure, but H&C as well as other games of theirs often crash after a certain point. And it never stops.

I played Heroes and Castles and loved it... then I played Heroes and Castles 2 and was amazed that they not only kept up with the high standard of the first game, but improved upon it. Excellent game. It does crash every now and then, and I hope that gets fixed, but this game is definitely worth the $1.99. And I very rarely pay for games on my phone, but I would have paid twice as much for this game. Worth.

I have played this game for 8 years. The first one, as well. Through breaking my phones and moving across states. This is a masterfully crafted gaming experience. There is nothing, I've seen, that even comes close, on a smartphone. It's like a console game. I sound like a bot, but for realz. 9.5 out of 10. I haven't even opened the app, in a while, I'm just taking the time to review, because OG Status, that's why Cb <3

This game is just missing a couple tweaks from being an absolutely amazing mobile game. The big problem I have is that the in game energy system is flawed and will never allow for you to truly have a fair game. Even after making huge upgrades to the NPCs they are still multiple times weaker than the weakest enemy units on top of the inability to bring enough fighters to the field. Great game, just inconsistent and inconsiderate of the players.

I haven't played a lot of this quite yet, but as an old H&C fan I'm glad to finally play this version. If you are wondering about the difference between this version and the free one it's night and day. Crystals are more frequent, equipment can be obtained by treasure chests that randomly spawn in the maps, buying new heros are only 10 crystals instead of 20 and there are no ads. The free version has so many ads and the only way to really get extra equipment and stuff is watching an ad. Worth $2

First, I want to reiterate that this is a hardcore strategy game. Those expecting a hack n' slash type game will fail. Success takes planning and effort. Victory is well earned and satisfying. The game itself is pretty amazing. It gets your blood pumping and adrenaline going. It's intense. Armor crafting could be better, in that i'd like to choose my armor as opposed to getting a random (but better) set. Collision detection could also be better. Graphics are AMAZING. Sound is decent. 5/5

I have played this game off and on for years and is a great game. If there was just one thing fixed. That is the item roll, like you just have to spam making new items/weapons/armors until you get a good one. No upgrade system either, so if you want better stuff you rely on a dice roll. This problem costs it my last star, if changed, then I would gladly add my final. Loved the first game as well, and hope to see maybe a third

Awesome environments with an epic, medieval feel. Worth the price. However, its obvious the dev wants you to buy crystals as the difficulty is obscene, with the AI throwing armored units at you like crazy, and very few units of your own to counter. I switched to easy mode and still have trouble making headway.

Excellent game, love it. Would rate 5 stars if not for a bug. Development team, please note that movement stops randomly at times and no matter what is done, its impossible for the hero to move. I would suggest you implement a D-pad or similar mechanism to circumvent this issue and make it easier for the player to assume control in the game.

Very fun very addicting. Reading some of the other reviews and how people have difficulty playing the game almost discouraged me from spending my money. But it is worth every penny and I do enjoy the challenge it is indeed very much a strategy game. My only criticisms are once a lot of action is going on I had to downgrade the level quality to maintain frames. I like the controller support but when I go to remap buttons it sets everything to the left stick before I can press a button.

This is an extremely good mobile game imo, I'd describe it as an RPG+RTS+Mount And Blade. lots of interesting player progression with rpg elements and skill trees, you can have multiple characters and use them in your army. There's many units, all are solid counters to certain enemies/enemy types, and vice-versa (it'll ease you into them). Theres good level variation, you'll progress through main waves and defend your castle while fighting over territory in other maps for loot and unit buffs.
