I've noticed a change in the HiK Connect app's behavior. Previously, when I opened the app and it had loaded notifications, all my cameras would take a snapshot at that moment and show me the latest picture as a thumbnail. However, now I'm only seeing scrambled images. Can anyone help me identify the reason for this change?

Live view is great. For Playback, speed options are badly needed. The new +/- 10s button doesn't work for me. Manually trying to move the time slider is difficult to control, the slider seems to have a mind of it's own, often jumping to random different times.

A major drwaback I noticed is while viewing play back, cant select for a particular time point. eg, if wants to watch the recording at 11.31 am. The sliding bar not staying in the point we fixes at 11.31 am. While releasing the finger after bringing the pointer to 11.31 am the slider slips to somewhere. So cant watch the recording of 11.31 am. Please rectify the defect.

App keeps crashing when trying to playback. It just defaults to log in. So many negative reviews? The response seems automated for everyone. We had this systems installed at great cost for our security. I did this as an upgrade to my old system. The app on my previous system was 100% better even if the camera's werent. Do you just give automated response and then forget about the client? All the negative reviews shows non care. Don't tell me to send you more details. I did via email too.

Motion detection push notifications to mobile has been stopped working since one week without any reasons. It's almost useless without motion detection notifications. Response to developer: Thank you for replying. I have sent an email with full details and screen shots to the email id provided. Anticipate your prompt support

I must have missed a few updates as UI has changed significantly. But this, or a recent, update has made my whole CCTV network useless as it appears I can now only view cameras, whether direct or via NVR, if I'm on the same subnet as the camera/NVR. Since my cameras and other security (mostly non-Hik) devices are on a dedicated VLAN that means switching VLANs - it's quicker to just stick my head out of the window! - and I can't access cameras via 4G or wifi when out of the house. USELESS.

When sliding the cursor across it continues to move around even after lifting finger from the screen and doesn't stop where you always want it. Glitchy app. Still needs much improvement It's hard to find what you're looking for with this layout. Needs a different speed options like other softwares. i.e 1.5, x2, x2.5, etc

Just playing some of my cameras back and the quality is very poor. They where perfect before I could playback and take screenshot of numbers plates and be very clean. This ain't possible now just a fuzzy grain. The HD, Custom or cancel button bring up and error not support by the device. Is there a way to roll back as this is no use to me.

I hate this app. When you click on playback it jumps to 24hrs ago . It should jump to 5 min ago. There should be a quick rewind button to rewind by 10sec and a forward button on live screen. Double tap gesture to do it. The playback and timeline feature sucks. Also my time displayed in video is not in sync with real time. How to change that in app? Seems the only way to do is using a tv and mouse connected to the recorder. It sucks.

Playback operation is very difficult. Slide the bar and remove the finger from moblie. Time stamp will take a big hump forward or backward automatically. Time range is also not possible to be given in addition to the slide feature. Loading view for one or all cameras is also difficult. Many times, ask to reload view.... but not liaded after clicking, but after loading complete view.

Useless. I've had issues with stability since I started using it a few years ago but as of the last update I can't download any of my footage. The app just restarts constantly. I've now had an event on my property and need the footage for a police case and I can't download it. What's the use of cameras if I don't own/can't access the footage? It's failed it's only job requirement when it matters most. Stay away. Try another brand.

The device output is very good. However, an observed flaw is that the system does not reflect the local date and time of the user; it keeps showing wrong date and time even after setting. Secondly, it occasionally freezes and restarts your phone suddenly during viewing, and that is very annoying.

You've literally taken away the ability to change the sound on ax pro sounders. The settings no longer appear. This app used to be fantastic. Now I can't change the battery in a pir. Cause I can't turn the sounders sound off. Disappointed. Downgraded to the v6.3.0.0424 and everything works again. 💪 the new version doesn't allow the ability to change any of your ax pro hikvision connected pir detectors or indoor outdoor sounders etc. It breaks it.

The new update is horrendous. The playback is so annoying now. As soon as you lift your finger off the timelime it jumps and moves. So so annoying. I cant download playback footage either now since the new update the app has downgraded massively. EDIT: downgraded to 1 star. Still no fix for playback. It's so frustrating to try and filter to an event. The timeline pings forwards and backwards. I've raised this but the customer service is non-existent. DO BETTER

Scrolling in this app is impossible 50% of the time. Often times you select the time you want played and when you remove the finger, the scrolling continues like you never stopped it. Touch sensitivity is sometimes insanely high and it is hard to select the time that you want played. It also sometimes gets stuck in a crazy fast mode when scrolling left/right you can skip a whole day with one small swipe. It wasn't always like this. This behavior started in February or March 2024.

No good. As a vulnerable person, I need the playback functionality on my mobile device to record events to submit. All I get now is no footage found or "number of streaming channels exceed limit". It was working perfectly OK. Now this. I'm not a technophobe, but this is ridiculous. I can see that you have left other consumers hanging who have the same issue. Your customer care leaves a lot to be desired when dealing with vulnerable consumers.

Not a bad app. But wish it has more than one concurrent connections as I use the app and a local DVR for viewing. Therefore, I am unable to view live viewing as there is more than one connection to the camera. Secondly, the Chime type keeps resetting back to "not installed" and I have to manually set it back to "mechanical" chime daily which is terrible as I missed many door rings if I forget to set it every day although the power kits was installed during the initial installation.

I receive no notifications. I have un-installed and reinstalled, checked permissions. Checked dvr settings and made sure notifications was enabled on it. Set events as well and nothing changes. I even emailed hik vision tech support and have yet to get anything from them and that was last week. Poor customer service, poor tech support.

You literally need to be a network engineer to understand every single capability that the software has. For anyone considering about getting one of these systems, remember it has a steep learning curve. There's plenty of documentation but if you're looking for quick start guides look elsewhere. The software however seems to be kind of odd to use because you can't actually remotely access your stuff out of the box. Not for the faint of heart.

While on playback, if viewing in fast forward, anything other than 1X, if freezes once it finishes an event. It displays "Number of streaming channels exceed limit" even though it's the only open camera view. Takes hours to allow playback of any of my 4 cameras. In other words after viewing playback in fast forward and freezing during the end of an event, no camera playback is allowed for anywhere from 2-6 hours. Tried rebooting app but no help.
