If you're going to require pictures, make it either the STOCK way android has for selecting pictures, or make your version as good or better. I tried to find a folder I keep pictures of me, but had to slide the utterly stupid list at the top of the completely inadequate folder selector, only to get to the end, and not see that folder. I tried this twice. Very poor app, my 9 year old niece could do better, or at least design it better. Maybe I'll try this pathetic app in the future. Doubtful.

This app is a complete rip off, not only are 90% of the profiles fake but they charge you for every little thing you could possibly do and it doesn't even work. You need premium just to be able to set any filter but as soon as you set the filter a message pops up saying your filters have been turned off to show you more matches even though there are plenty of profiles that meet your filter criteria. They also try to clickbait you every time you close the app into opening it back up

This app, at its core, is ok. My main gripe with this app is its inability to search true to my preferences. For example; I have my distance set at up to 60 miles, yet I consistently get candidates who are 100 plus miles away. Even some that are 300 plus miles. I have the setting ticked off where it would expand my search area, yet this continues to happen. Also, im a premium member. Also, from a free perspective, especially as a guy, it's very barebones with its features and stingy.

so here's my take on Hily's algorithm: predatory. after you've used it for a bit. the app gets a sense of your preferences. once it gets your preferences, and you load/use the app again, you'll see 2-3 people that fit your preferences to start, and then just..(and I dont mean this rudely) background noise. no one you'd usually swipe on. ever. after this, you'll receive likes or visits by people who fit your preferences, which drives you to swipe more or buy premium to actually SEE them.

All filters other than age, gender, and location are locked behind premium. And when you do buy it, it will just reset back to default after the first swipe, you do get some free stuff per day but if you are paying 30 a month and the search doesn't work it's not much. Doesn't get rid of scammers after reports either so have fun.

Pay close attention to the poor reviews. The service they provide is more filled with bots/fake profiles than real humans. If you are planning on purchasing any sort of subscription, buyer beware. The service (or lack thereof) is incredibly disappointing. Basically, you must pay to see any person that swipes on you. If you need help canceling a subscription, your request is met with a complex process that really never gets resolved. Spend your money on different sites with better results.

If you have a paid subscription you can only unlock the ability to see and interact with 2 people every 24 hours. If you want to see more people who have already liked you they want to charge you 4.99 per person IN ADDITION to functionality. This is for every normal paid subscription including their lifetime one. They offer an additional premium plus to charge you any more for even basic funtionality.

Absolute trash. Every "account" is fake and everything is locked behind a paywall. Every 6 or so swipes (even lefts/no's) triggers an add, which needs to be dismissed THREE SEPARATE TIMES each with a 5-30 second cooldown. This is the kind of app that will make you wish for another, stronger round of COVID-19 to sweep through humanity. God help us.

Don't buy premium. Every time you try to set a filter, regardless of which filter you set, the app instantly overrides it. This means you can't filter out the vast number of fake accounts since "verified only" is a premium filter. Moreover, Hily refuses to provide a timeline for a fix or issue a refund. This is fraud and i have already disputed the purchase with my payment processor. EDIT: The person who responded to me is lying. I expanded my region to include NYC and it still doesn't work.

Filters are meaningless matching doesn't matter as zero replies come in and pretty much every feature costs money. Heck, you have a feature to send a message "major cruch" to someone, and the recipient sees a blurred image without an ability to respond unless they spend money to unblur the sender. Never come across the ones that viewed/liked your profile. Ai algorithm needs some serious work. Especially if you try to limit the range of people you view.

Fault advertisement got me to download to check it out. Turns a 3 day free trial means all you get is to look at profiles. You have to pay if you want to chat with anyone. It's not worth it. Over priced delete app after talking with customer service. Talked to two different people and both gave different responses that made me even more confused

Shows as having received a message, but tapping it (naturally) just directs you to a subscription sign-up, with no ability to view the message, see the user, or reply. Uses AI-generated images of people who do not exist to promote their premium services. Deceptive notifications. Purposely limits viewing "popular" users behind a paywall. Dating apps are excessively monetized across the board, but Hily is remarkably bad at this.

Horribly overpriced and a bad UI. I also paid $32 for the "premium". The advanced filters don't always work and to enable/disable them required a weird workflow. In addition this is the only app that doesn't unblur who likes you even on premium. The want you to buy more "unblurs". This is an overpriced and buggy app and the premium features are trash. Do yourself a favor and skip this one or just use free only. It has potential but the company needs to do a way better job.

Pros: similar to EVERY other dating app, easy to use. Cons: asks for money all the time, ads every few swipes, no real sense of matching with someone Review: go somewhere else. You'll have the same experience as Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge. I gave the app a fair shot and did not see more matches or feel that the potential for more matches was there. I would likely have more luck at a bar than the app.

Paywalling pretty people is wild. The app randomly also passes on people if I'm looking at their profile too long. Devs responded and said this was an intended feature for a "dynamic experience" which means nothing and is only inconvenient. On top of that, if you pay for premium to access filters they just disable them. If filters would let me narrow down the people I'm seeing that I'm going to swipe no on, why not let me see more that I'd actually like???

Hily's premium features are overpriced and underwhelming, with a clunky UI and buggy functionality. Despite paying for advanced filters, they often fail to work properly, and even premium users are left in the dark about who likes them without shelling out more cash. The app's search function frequently disregards user preferences, leading to matches far beyond the desired distance. Free features are scarce, and even basic interactions are locked behind paywalls.

It's decent enough. It's got a bunch of real people (it seems) but even if you have premium and set your filters, after a few profiles it'll "update" your filters for you. Every time you try and reverse it, it will just automatically "update" them again, showing you profiles you don't want to see and completely defeating the purpose of filters
