To many adds. The app never use to have them. Then boom not a 40 min show takes an hour. Time matters. At least let us skip them after so many seconds like most apps. I mean come on. Who wants to watch ads before you even get to watch the show and half the time its the same one 3 times in a row. Fix that and ill gve it 5 stars. I used to love the app as it commercial free. Now I barely use it as it takes to long to finish a show. Step away and boom more ads when you open a show and press play.

The shows are really good as the reason I loaded the app. However at times the commercials will last for upwards of 7 minutes and not fall into the allotted break points. Then at times when the show resumes it will only resume for a few seconds and another round of 5-7 minutes of commercials. Had to switch to you tube for one series just to finish a 45 minute show in less than 1+ hour due to extensive commercial breaks.

Absolute garbage. I like some of the shows, but flaws with their ad system, repeating ads, going through 4 ads having to hit play after the ads and then having the show continue for literally a second and then jumping into four more ads. Their layout is also trash. Not surprising, it is the History channel. The new MTV, eventually the H won't stand for history. It'll just be the H channel.

The app itself seems stable, but I don't like having to use brute force to disable app notifications via OS settings; the app should have a setting to allow this. Also, I understand the need for displaying occasional advertisments during the shows, but the frequency and length of commercial breaks is quite overwhelming. Furthermore, if I pause and later want to resume a show, I MUST first watch about 6 commercials (again) before I can resume watching, even if I had paused right AFTER a group of commercials.

If you like an app that boots you out of your video 15x during a 42-min documentary with a "Something went wrong" msg--then, when you go back into the video, subjects you to the same 2 trulicity ads you just had to sit through a minute before at an actual commercial break, plus the same other 3 ads, before you're allowed to resume viewing, this app is for you. 3 *s for allowing me to watch some eps of a few shows without going back to cable.

I think id prefer just watching on my tv. There are way too many commercials. I understand they are needed, but the same ones over and over and over are annoying. Also the commercials freeze a second in, stay frozen, then goes to black screen for another minute, only for the same thing to happen again. If I want to watch commercials I can just watch on cable. Or i can wait an extra day and just wait for it to uploaded to YouTube and watch for free with zero commercials.

The app is great in terns of content! But, there are just TOO MANY ads!!! I will be watching a 30 minute show but will see there are 4-5 commercial breaks that usually last over 2-3 minutes and it's the same ads over and over. Heck, I'll see the same add twice in one commercial break run. It's tedious, obnoxious, and serious discourages me from continuing watching shows that i like because I don't wanna sit through all the same ads.

Keeps glitching or freezing. Once ads are done and begins to resume the show, it glitches and loops about a 1/4 of a second long clip over and over. If I could attach a video to show it would. I then have to back out of the app and go back in. Sometime it won't even let me back in, it will just do the spinning loading circle without loading anything. Not a fan if this app. But it's the only way I can watch Alone until the newer season is released to Hulu. Please fix this, it's so annoying!!

Worst streaming app I've ever used. I decided this after watching an Xfinity commercial for the 7th time (seriously 7) in a row, in a single commercial break. It also doesn't say how many ads or how much ad time is left. If also doesn't remember settings correctly, example I have to turn on closed captioning every time I use the app. Last but not least, it doesn't accurately remember where I stopped watching, so I have to watch commercial breaks over again, consistently.

Abysmal or horrid? Both actually apply to this app. -Absolutely horrible Chromecast integration. -So many, many ads -After ads show in the middle of the program, the show returns having skipped a minute or two. -Sometimes, after skipping forward, it automatically skips back so we can watch the same section again. - We are frequently blessed with being able to see the same ad played over and over and over. Update: we just watched the same ad 7 times in a row. WTH?

Good once the show plays. The process to get to the show is just the worst format, I believe, out of all major streaming platforms. Watching skinwalker ranch, I could not rewind at all if I missed something or else the pause/play overlap screen never went away. Having the same commercials repeating 3-4 in a row. Such great content. Nothing wrong with the content. It is how this app presents it and how it provides it happens to be the major issue here.

The app let me stream Alone..the entire show but every time I would go to check and see how much show was left it would shut my phone down. like power it off!! so strange and odd. I finished the show and deleted the app off my phone. It was almost like a corrupted file the first time it happened bc it asked if I wanted to factory reset my phone. Thank goodness we have the history channel on our TV.

works. but it is buggy. the audio keeps getting messed up when casting to Chromecast. there is a delay with the audio so the audio is lagging behind the show. when watching shows it doesn't keep track of where you were at very well. if it times out or you only watch part of a show it will start it over. also.

I love that I can watch shows on here for free, but the add time is starting to get ridiculous. There were six or seven commercial breaks in a 42-minute show, and each break played the same 1 or 2 commercials back to back, over and over again. It made me want to stop using the app completely, to be honest. The EQ was way off, commercials were twice as loud as the program. Just really ruined the experience for me. I probably wouldn't consider this platform worth putting on my phone again.

Every time I stream a show and use Chromecast to show on my TV, the video and sound sync gets off after a few minutes and just gets worse as time goes on. It's been this way at least the last 3 seasons of Alone I've watched and you'd think this sort of thing would've been corrected by now. Every other streaming service I've never had this issue.

It's a great app but way too many commercials. A one hour program is actually 45 minutes long or perhaps a little shorter with the rest of the time being commercials. These commercials are more repetitive and inane with the same commercial or commercials every 3 to 5 minutes often for 4 minutes or more. More of advertisements for companies not to do business with.

Love History Channel, hate app. After the last update it is very glitchy. After each commercial it stops and I have to start it again. This morning tried to watch Skinwalker Ranch (it's Wednesday so should be able to view) and I'm getting an error message saying this episode isn't available at this time, try again later. BS I already have to wait until the next day, and now it's not available! The amount and the redundancy of the ads are ridiculous! The same ad plays over and over again
