HoYoLAB will sometimes copy your phone's clipboard contents as soon as you open the app (i.e., you'll see the Android pop-up notice stating that you pasted from your clipboard). This is done without any user interaction and without explicit permission by the user. So, if you happened to have sensitive information in your clipboard... too bad? I know some password managers use your clipboard, so your mileage may vary. I've uninstalled the app until it is patched to better protect user privacy.

This app is fun but the development is annoying. Any notification you get will never take you to the right place inside the app when you tap it. It ALWAYS says "deeplink not supported" (deeplink is a link into an app) and just does nothing. I've missed interesting this cuz I can't find what they notification was talking about on my own. And, on my pixel 5, the top of the app is hidden behind my camera dot and my notification bar so I can barely tap menu items at the top 😭

connecting times are long, even with great wifi. constant need for updating. here and there is fine, but it's almost once a week. i updated the app, opened it, and it gave me another "update to the newest version" popup. the interactive map is eh, it would be nice for some tracking between your genshin account and your hoyolab account. overall, not a very helpful app. just use a web browser.

Genshin Impact has captured my interest recently, I started out by manually going to the website everyday to check-in. I'm glad I decided to download the official app, as it has made it incredibly easy to get my check-in rewards and also look at game guides for character building, boss fights, puzzles, etc. The app runs smoothly, the UI isn't cluttered or all over the place, and overall just looks really nice. I would love to see a synced map between Genshin and the app for oculi hunting!

I've only started using the app recently but I've had a good experience so far. It's relatively easy to use and I like how it's organized. I (so far) only have 3 issues. 1, there should be a way to view previously liked posts, doesn't need to be prominent, but it would be useful. 2, I've had issues getting images to load, this might be my wifi though. 3, when looking at images, if you tap it, it will close and I have to re-scroll to find the one that closed (mostly annoying when looking a memes)

Great App ! Experiencing bugs though... As of February 16th 2024, the Hoyolab app has been forcibly closing itself after short periods of time. Each time it shuts down, a pop up shows up stating that Hoyolab was experiencing a bug and to wait for the next update. For now I have to use the web browser version, which is inconvenient. If it helps, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S23.

It's great, but sometimes the notifications I get I can't even tap to see where I need to go, it says 'deeplink not supported'. So that's always anouinh that I have to search through all of the app to see where it is. Otherwise tho, it's great. I love being able to use it to see other people's fan art, what they think about characters, and their memes for the game.

I mainly use it for the extra sign in bonuses and check out peoples artwork and cosplays. There's a lot going on in such a dedicated game (or games). i also like that the interactive map is fairly useful and other tools. I dont HAVE to use an outside source or tool. Granted, there may be better out there, but im just a filthy daily log-in casual. If i take the game anymore seriously, then I do, I'll burn out in two weeks

Over all good. Just wish the interactive map would sync with my game progress. Like removing the one time items like the closed for the status so to keep track of the ones I still need to find. Because I keep returning to places that I've been because the symbols are still on the map. Or at least let me mark it off to save time so not to return to the claimed locations.

I use this app for Genshin Impact, and it's very handy. I mainly use it for the map and check-in tools, as well as easy access to community guides and official announcements. However, I am constantly being bombarded with push notifications even though I have them turned off through the app. I only want to receive notifications for the check-in so I don't forget, but instead I get constantly spammed with random notifs and can't figure out how to make it stop. It's very frustrating.

While the idea behind this app is good, it's definitely a "work in progress", and not ready for full release. No matter how strong my internet connection is, I constantly get a "weak signal" error (even on Wifi through Google Fiber). The push notifications come through sometimes, but they are irregular for reminders. There's an interactive map, but it's missing many functions of similar maps online. Overall, I'm not sure what the app is useful for beyond check-ins and advertisements.

As far as resources for their games go, I love it. Guides, maps and all kinds of helpful stuff like redeem codes for in game currency and ways to earn that currency. The interactive map itself is the most helpful tool and worth the download space on my phone. I don't like the social media aspect of it though. Once in a while, it's fun to look up people's game art or cosplays, but I can do that on Google when I want to see it.

The widget is broken now. They removed the "reload" button to refresh the widget. Now there is no way to get it working and are forced to go back into the app. This defeats the entire purpose of a widget. Add the button back. Additionally, the UI is frustrating. You have to deal with an intrusive pop-up everytime you open the app, and then it takes like 8 clicks to actually get to your battle chronicle/game info. You shouldn't have to jump through 100 hoops to get to the actual main content.

I have vision issues (blind left eye, light sens. in right eye), and I find these issues with your app... 1.) The font is way to small and you can not adjust it. *Please make pages adjustable for mobile. 2.) You need to have an option for "dark" for those with issues with screen brightness. *Being able to switch over to a black background with white font would mean that I could take full advantage of the site/app... And do so without the migraine pain the white screen causes. Thank you.

Has a lot of potential. As a social media for Hoyoverse it's solid, but unless you're able to successfully link your accounts it's useless for much else. A lot of ppl have trouble bc of the new and old account systems clashing with one another, especially on consoles. Look for mHY original account linking instructions if you're having trouble. They've added a lot since I originally wrote this, but I still feel like it's a glorified message board if you can't connect your accounts

IDK why but I keep running into problems with this app. I won't have any issues for months in a row then some weird anomalies eventually show up before randomly disappearing again. It's always a similar prob. It's like I have a slow connection but I have 1 Gb/s fiber. Sometimes pictures wouldn't load but now it's like I'm using dial up Internet whenever I try to upload images. I can get it to work on my pc but it's still too slow. I've even tried using my neighbor's Wi-Fi, but same problem there
