More About I Am Sober

I Am Sober is more than just a free sobriety counter app.
Along with tracking your sober days, it helps you build new habits and provides ongoing motivation by connecting you to a wide network of people all striving for the same goal: staying sober one day at a time.

Through our growing sober community you can learn from others and contribute by sharing insights and tactics that have helped you quit your addiction.

**The I Am Sober App Features:**

â–º Sober day tracker
Visualize how long you’ve been sober and monitor your sobriety journey over time. Track the time you spend without drinking, smoking, etc. Count your sober days.

â–º Remember why you quit your addiction
Add reasons and photos to help you remember why you want to quit your addiction, stay sober and build new habits. Get motivated and enjoy your recovery.

â–º Daily pledge tracker
Take a pledge every day. Sobriety is a 24-hour struggle, so start your day off by making a pledge to stay sober. Then you can review how your day went and log notes at the end of the day.

â–º Sobriety calculator
View how much money & time you’ve saved since you quit by being sober.

â–º Analyze triggers
Recap each day and find patterns that made your day easier or more challenging than the last. Track your habits and be aware of the change.

â–º Share your story
Either with others or for yourself, take photos and journal your recovery progress directly in the app. Then choose to share it or save it as a reminder for yourself.

â–º Milestone tracker
Track and celebrate your recovery milestones from 1 day, to 1 week, to 1 month and beyond. Compare experiences with others on their sober journey. Read how they felt at this milestone and what you can expect. If you’re struggling, share your story and invite others to offer help or advice.

â–º Withdrawal timeline
When you create an account and declare your addiction you want to quit, you can instantly see a withdrawal timeline to get an idea of what to expect for your next few days (and weeks). What’s more, you can contribute to it. See how many others saw an increase in their restfulness vs those that saw an increase in anxiety. Prepare yourself for what’s to come in recovery.

â–º Customize your experience
You set the time, your sober birthday, the category of motivation you need, the addictions you’re trying to quit, even the end-of-day summaries. Make the app customized to your lifestyle and tailored to your needs and habits.

I Am Sober is free to use, but you can support development of the app with a subscription to Sober Plus. With Sober Plus, you'll get access to these premium features:

Very nice features by way of checking in for tracking your mental and physical state over time to see your growth arc (hopefully in the right direction) and does a great job keeping me motivated with milestones and maxims. What separates this app from others is it's lack of literature and readings from the big book incorporated into it for convenience. other than that, it's pretty stellar.

Love this app so much! I've been using it for almost a year now and it has been such a huge help. I love how focused it keeps me on my sobriety and if I slip up, I don't feel pressured or judged when I hit the "reset". I also got logged out once and couldn't log back in due to not having access to my old email. When I contacted customer support to ask for help, they got back to me almost immediately and were kind and got it sorted out super fast! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP!

The notes section and degree of difficulty rating with tracking activities becomes amazing feedback for success habits and triggers to use... I'd like a larger character limit for the notes though. I'm detailed and want to be able to go back and reflect on my journey. I often have to edit for brevity... double the limit and this would be a perfect app for me! It's rather awesome now.

I highly recommend this app. It has a clean interface, a place where you can post per each milestone, and you can add custom addictions/habits. Not only is it useful for recovering addicts, it's a great way to stop a habit, have support, and keep track of it. Studies have shown that watching the numbers add up helps to remain abstinent from whatever your addiction/habit is. I've tried three other apps and this one is the best.

This app is just utterly amazing, all aspects of it. It's so helpful and brilliant. I love the community tab too, it show people have been sober for around the same amount of time as you, from the same issue you're facing. In a health manner, it's perfect. From the computer science / development side, it's even more amazing. I can only imagine the algorithms they used to get it to work like it does. Would rate 50 stars if possible.

I'm really enjoying the ability to take notes at the end of the day, sort of a short form journal. Taking the pledge each morning helps set the tone and maintain focus. I initially installed it to count my days which is helpful too. The pledge recap in the evening with mood and degrees of difficulty are useful too, especially to reflect on over time.

This app is such a helpful and user friendly way to keep track of your sobriety. It reminds you that you're another day sober, as well as how much money and time you've saved since your start date. Which helps me feel motivated and proud of myself. After you've pledged and read your own personalized reason for staying sober, a wonderful little message appears on the app reminding you of your worth and your power to overcome obstacles. The two things I'm not a huge fan of is that the inspiring quotes repeat and can become a bit redundant. Also, i wish it was a bit more interactive for people like me that lose interest easily. If there were exercises or journal prompts or something that got me to interact with the app more...i would definitely give it 5 stars!

Simple, clean, app that doesn't have annoying ads. I really enjoy the motivation section you can use to say why you're giving something up. It can be text or pictures. Visuals are very helpful for me. My settings have check-ins in the morning and night 12 hours apart. It's helpful without being overwhelming. I highly recommend this as someone who prefers minimal notifications on apps.

I've never had an app I feel this connected to! I like the daily reminder to pledge. It reinforces my commitment & brings it into sharp focus. This will sound NUTS, but it's...caring. Comforting. I really love that it's a complete journal & easy to access. They've put in all the important things: how you feel. what you did. how easy was it. days clean. daily activities that you can EDIT & ADD your own! If you had a hard day or pressed for time you can still leave a comprehensive view of the day.

App works for what it is. Would like to see widgets so i can have it on my home screen. I'm not getting any of the push notifications currently, so that's a bummer as well. You also have to be subscribed to have backups of your timer, which seems like a bad practice to me. Your timers should be linked to an account regardless of if you're paying for it or not. And $40 a year (or $10 a month) is just too much for some features that should be basic. Otherwise decent app.

I would highly recommend this app to anyone struggling with an addiction. The tracker and motivational quotes, as well as milestone forum posts are a great way to feel the progress. The custom parameters also allow for more than the default quitting options, so you can make this work for anything you need it too. Generous on the extra quote offers, and I cant recall any ads. A superb app.

This sobriety tracker helps to incorporate a positive routine to my mornings and at night. Every morning I am reminded of why I want to continue to stay sober. I love that I can reflect back on my day & accomplishments at night. The time & money saved are great features as well. Your counter is always accurate to the day, hour, minute and second. I have had an issue with other sobriety trackers not doing that. My only suggestion is that maybe you can add emotions to your app. 😊

I have never stuck to an attempt at changing a habit, until this app! I use it to help support me in being alcohol free. It has a simple to use interface, and I love that the community has clear guidelines on posting so it's a positive and encouraging space. I emailed the app support with a question about a feature I'd like to see in the future and they responded to me next day! I love all the different motivational "packs" to choose from with different themed quotes.

This app is a very valuable tool in my sobriety. It has many free features and is my favorite tracker (I have tried several.) The function to see ahead to the milestones you will achieve on which dates is very motivating and reassuring to me. I like the stories and ability to interact with others in the same time frame of sobriety. My favorite feature is the workbook, so many insightful prompts.

Genuinely blown away. Maybe I'm jaded, but modern apps feel like they have so many ads and things behind paywalls. This app is entirely different. It tracks your progress with losing addiction easily, but you also have access to community posting, goals, a daily workbook, and motivation! It also tracks your money saved from addiction which is great! There is a paywall for extra and I would recommend it if you think you'll be on here for a while. Tldr, a genuinely great app, lots of features!

I am actually pleasantly surprised with how much i am liking this app. Especially because i didn't expect much before downloading; all i needed was a widget to track my streak but i am loving how it motivates you ay the start of the day and more importantly a chance to review your day at night. The options are well thought out and navigating thru them is a breeze. I can look back at any specific day years from now and know how it went which will be helpful particularly in moments of weakness.

This app is a diamond in the rough! Tried countless other recovery app, and this one is by far the most detailed, helpful, and functional. Most other recovery apps are a database of where you can attend meetings (useful for sure). But for all that time in between meetings; when life is moving quickly and you feel overwhelmed, when you've had a bad/good day, and the times when your alone with just your thoughts & feelings. You can utilize this app! Really great resource and a lifesaver for me.

I've never gotten serious about recovery until recently. I'm 22 days sober and have been using this app for 4 days and it's been soooo helpful. There are so many features like sobriety tracking, money saved tracking, workbook prompts, etc. I'm sure I haven't explored all the features yet. I'm excited to open the app each morning and make my pledge and see the motivation and workbooks for the day. No problems so far, just learning how it works. Better than the other sober apps I've tried!

Than you for responding quickly. I was able to add a second addiction (limit for the free version.) Cool. 5 stars ---- original review below... Can you track more than one addiction? The app works well. I've used it for my primary issue for 2 months. I tried adding a second addiction in the list. But it appears that you can only select one at a time. When I select the second one, the app removes the check next to first one.
