Edit:2 Updating my review from 4 to 5 because the Dev has worked hard to get around Google & YouTubes regulations also all bugs are fixed. I been using Igeblock since the start & I've had a great experience. I like the premium the 1 time purchase is cheap, but im on the $1.29 atm & definitely going to buy it so I never see ads again. I love the setting of how you can change quality of video & it remains there till you change it, its important when using cellular. I highly recommend it, TY Dev 🙏

Ive been reviewing this app and providing customer feedback since it's release in 2021. It's core functionality always works flawlessly -- I can watch my YT account videos without the ads. Edit 16.5.24. When I remove a video from my Watch Later list it's does not disappear from the list Edit 14.6.24. The videos show just a blank white screen and the audio. Bug from my previous edit also not fixed Edit 28.6.24. The latest version is full of bugs

You need to sit through a static ad for a few seconds when first opening but it's not intrusive and worth it to skip ads for the remainder of use. I recently discovered you can use audio mode and it will play in the background/while locked. This is a really nice feature when it works but it doesn't work half the time and returns to the screen dimming mode (even after enabling notifications, changing settings etc).

I used to love this app, but now I may need to start looking elsewhere for a youtube alternative. The ads are unable to be muted, and I believe that was done out of spite towards one person. This is not how a good developer should act, and I can't in good conscience support you anymore. I'm sorry, but unless you fix the update you made, I'm going to look somewhere else for a youtube alternative. Edit: Also now there is an ad every hour. Fantastic. /s

1 of the only 2 reasons I got this app was to listen to YouTube ad free. However they just started allowing ads mid video, so it defeats the purpose. I am fully okay with watching an ad every 3 days to use the app, even though it used to be every 7. However I am not okay with there still being ads while I am actually watching the videos themselves. I gave it 2 stars because if you do not mind ads, everything else in this app works very well in my opinion.

Thoroughly enjoying this app. You watch a simple ad every few days to get away from the excessive and annoying ads of youtube. You get most of the functions of YouTube. I haven't had any major issues at all. Sometimes is a little wonky (nothing restarting the app didn't fix) but all in all this app is awesome! Many, many thanks to whoever created and keeps improving it.

Exactly what I was looking for. This app prevents ads while watching YouTube. It also has picture-in-picture, which I use to keep playing vids while using other apps. And I wasn't expecting (but I really appreciate) the repeat and timer functions. People are complaining about older problems that the dev fixed, as far as I can tell. I'm really happy with the version I've got.

I still don't like that the ad amount went from a couple of ads a day to keep the menu active to needing to watch an ad every single hour of the day. That's a huge change. Yes, it still blocks ads without the menu, but you have to keep the app open, and it's really not worth it anymore. I'd rather give that much ad revenue to the creators of the channels I watch if I need to watch the same amount of ads as on YouTube. The mid rolls are annoying, but at least you can skip most of them.

I mainly use for ad blocking and the occasional other feature such as locking the screen. App has always worked well for me. To the developer, I really appreciate you developing this app and continuing to update it consistently. I'm glad you add those notes to each update to keep us informed. I was perfectly fine with the ad once every 24 hours system, seemed fair to me. Sorry about your funding being suspended recently. If you get it back I'll gladly subscribe to your service.

This app is great and all, but the fact that the developers removed the button that let's you watch an add every 7 days to basically "activate" the menu is kinda annoying, because as of now, it only let's you use the menu for 2 hours before it's no longer functional, and as far as I've found, there's no way to "refresh" the timer, once it runs out, the only way I've found to make it reset is to uninstall and re-install the app. please just revert the app back to the way it was!

In the past, you would occasionally watch an ad for full usage of the app for a few days. Now, it has been replaced by a flat 2 hours per day system, with an ad to get 2 extra hours of function. This is better than no free way to use the app past 2 hours, but since ads are back, why you can't it just go back to how it was? Also, I can't find any way to automatically enable captions, and it's annoying to manually enable on every video. Otherwise, good app.

First impressions, the app is working well for dropping the never ending adds interrupting video and music. I'd recommend looking into an update that can pause and return the user to the video, playlist, or whatever content after recieving a phone call or other interruption. Haven't tested enough to comment on the reach of the interruptions that reset the content, but in the first half hour I've had to manually search, restart, and reload what I had running 4 times after taking short calls.

Love the add free experience! I'd gladly watch an add each day to help the developer, compared to the previous version with a time limit. 4 stars because App still has some minor bugs. I.E., issues with the back button not returning to the home screen, or that counter intuitive "power button" lookalike, that sometimes means the app will shut down when the current video ends, and sometimes means going back to home .. Such a small price to "pay" for a fully free app that does what it promises.

This app is the only way I'll watch Youtube. It can be a bit wonky sometimes, but it's worth it to not see all the ads. 2 complaints I have are: The PIP mode doesn't always activate when I go to home screen. It seems to work about half the time with no indication as to when or why. Sometimes I write a comment and click to post it and it just disappears. Otherwise I highly recommend the app!

Go back to the previous update. The new ones now have the new cringe youtube profiles and now the app doesnt even work 50% of the time. When i click on smth half the time its just a white screen w audio playing. Playlists dont even work anymore, when a video finishes it just exits out, whats the point of a playlist if a list doesnt play? If these are fixed it will again be an app worth its money.

I really enjoy everything about the app, I just much prefer the audio mode that doesn't mimic a phone screen. I like to use the audio mode while I play mobile games, but now I have to have the mini player and figure out where to put it on my screen. Edit: although there is an option for notification style audio mode in the settings, it doesn't work and defaults to slide mode. This is frustrating bc two weeks ago notification mode was working just fine. Edit: it has been fixed!

Buggy, still has ads, and just crashes often. But it has some useful features and is free, so I rate it 3 stars, Please work on fixing bugs and stability issues instead of new features and making the app buggier, this recent update brought it from a 5 star app to a 3 star Edit 2: Now half the videos are "unavailable" and when I go to the YouTube app it works just fine :(
