Rated 3 stars because I see no option in the app to create folders. That's why I installed this; I like folder organization. I have to go to the website to create folders!? 🤦🏽♀️

The app works great in terms of TTS reading option. However on Android phone, once it finish reading the article, the screen never turns off. When I checked in the morning, the screen shows 6 hours without turned off while my setting was 30 seconds. This somehow overwrites it. There should be an option to have control over when the screen is automatically turned off as base

I just downloaded this app on my current phone and I can't log into my account. It keeps telling "The Instapaper service returned an unexpected result. Please try again in a few minutes, and ensure that your internet connection is active and not being filtered or redirected." I can log in to Instapaper web on the same phone in just a blink. Has this app died?

I love being able to display next page with a tap, without any disturbing swiping animation! Less tiring on the eye on the phone, less distracting overall, and also more suitable to my second device which is an eink tablet. I switched from Pocket to Instapaper only to get this option !

This is a really great app for those who have Android based e-readers however, the only problem this app has is the lack of single sign-on. Single sign on makes life a lot easier for a variety of people and this is something which is desperately needed. Ui is great and is friendly towards eink displays. Perfect for those like myself who want to actually read the news but can't stand an LCD display reading

Unreliable capture, tardy and pointless support - all just a time-wasting exercise. I've used it for years, loved it, but unsubscribed from this expensive annoyance. It works, and then it doesn't, have to revisit news articles often, never sure what is saved and what isn't. Wallabag might be basic and not as 'feature-rich', but at least it just works. EDIT So, unsubscribed with 6 months paid period remaining, all of the premium features removed and no search avail. What a shambles!

Used to be a Pocket user, but it became far too much of a tool for marketing and invasive. Instapaper shines brighter in that respect, and I love that there is a sync with Obsidian, so I can keep a catalogue of articles in a more secure space. Cheers to the developers. Great work. My one suggestion would be the ability to open the freshly saved article via the banner that tells you it's been saved, as opposed to having to switch out of your browser, etc. Keep up the good work.

Love this app. I'm able to add anything I'd like to read via the app or my desktop plugin, and then refer to it later. this ability has greatly improved my personal organization and productivity. I'd recommend getting Instapaper across all of your devices; this way, you'll always have your reading materials handy.

Instapaper is one of the only consistent and dependable tools offering appless & affordable (FREE) bookmarking. Simplicity is the key here. Not to mention that it's the first of its kind and still updated regularly. I can't help but think the downside in reviews is based on our natural instinct of wanting MORE. But if I want to read it later Instapaper is who I trust.

This app is such a great idea but it absolutely ruins its best features. Speed Read and Speak allow you to quickly get through documents but it is impossible to make them start from a specific place in the text. This makes them basically useless if you need to interrupt them and come back to reading later. Why would you implement such great features and then make them essentially useless?

For the most part I like this app. I like the editing, highlighting and note taking. There is one huge thing that is missing; that would improve this app tremendously. That is - having the option to create folders...to seperate topics, etc. Please dev, add folders as an option and I will change my rating to 5 stars. I have purchased the pro version, and still no folders. Thats a big drawback. But I'm hoping it will be added soon. If not, I will have to uninstall...thanks Dev !!!

I like the customizable settings like background color, font, sorting by various criteria (age, length, popularity, or shuffle), etc. and the ability to read articles offline. I do wish there were an option to show the full article titles (or at least to allow 2-3 lines for titles) in place of the article preview and/or byline.

I feel like captivated. The Instapaper Web has been great. It is no longer as remarkable as before but still. The Android app on the other hand seems like virtually abandoned. It barely catches up to the OS versions and the instability and rendering bugs aren't improved at all. If it is fixed if I pay, I'd love to throw the money in. But This is purely a hypothetical question though.

I paid for the upgraded version only to find that there is a significant issue. When notes (highlights) are transferred to another app (e.g.: OneNote) their order is random rather than the order they are in within the original document (or even the order they are captured). I've tried to contact support, but just get an automated message that they are a two person company. It's been over a week and no response. I'm not sure this is even supported anymore.

My favorite feature of Instapaper is the highlight feature. It turns (nearly) every web page into my own personal book/paper that I can highlight, mark up and save for later. I can integrate it into other apps so my highlights are saved there, too. I used to use Pocket for all my read later articles, but it's missing this feature (at least, it's not as useful). The one thing I miss about Pocket is that it always saves the url I bookmarked. Sometimes instapaper loses the url. Frustrating.

So close to excellent; but the page scrolling to match text to speech has never really worked, and it loses my place in the current article when I close the app. It also won't handle pdfs well, and won't let me email text to my list. I'd love to be a premium subscriber, but the features are kind of ridiculously minimal and buggy, and have been for years with little improvement.

There seems to be an issue when using the speak feature where it removes paragraphs and headings when it reads them aloud. I don't know if that's intentional, but I really hope not because I like to follow along in text when it's being read aloud. Aside from that, the app itself is very useful and I find it easy to read different articles I save with the clean design and other useful features.

I used to use Pocket but constantly had random articles popping up that I never saved about things I don't care about. If there is a way to turn it off, I couldn't figure it out, hence, installation of Instapaper. I love Instapaper! It does exactly what I want which is to save articles I find online that I want to read later when I have the time. It also lets me categorize everything and I can highlight whatever I want. I pay for whatever the cheapest option is and I have 0 complaints.

Very cool app, but after a week or so, it stopped working on my eReader (Onyx Boox NovaAir2) and now I just see a " the instapaper service returned an unexpected results. Please try again in a few minutes, and ensure that your internet connection is active and not being filtered or redirected" message every time I try to sign in. Tried everything. Very disappointing. Please help and I'll fix rating

Easy to use. Articles get saved both to app site for offline viewing (only as long as you don't logout in which case they are deleted) and to your account on its website. So far, spacing between paragraphs (stanzas) in only one of my saved articles was ignored. Vocalized reading of some apostraphe'd words failed to read correctly even though most other such words in same article were read correctly. Interesting article suggestions sent to your inbox about weekly. Many customizing features.
