As said XSCANPET includes 3 apps in one:
1) As a barcode scanner app, it uses the phone's camera and the barcode reader will quickly scan and recognize the information of barcode or QR code. It scans and read QR codes and one-dimensional and two-dimensional barcodes (QR & 1D & 2D barcodes) through the barcode scanner.
Activate the flashlight for reliable scans in dark environments and use pinch-to-zoom to read small barcodes.
Scans all QR codes & many barcodes formats.
You can use it even for your home inventory or to manage your book collection or your dvd collection, etc
On the other hand you can use it as an attendance tracker, to control employee Attendance, meetings, etc.
2) As an inventory app, it is flexible & customizable. It will help as an inventory management and inventory tracker. Also you can define your own fields for each record and your own workflows. The camera on your device is used to scan barcodes and look up item information in an Excel spreadsheet file that works as database. You can edit, delete, add items by using your own forms and record definitions. It also will let you to manage your inventory by batch scanning.
You can also keep detailed records of your inventory on your mobile device as well as update stock movements. Create, manage or control your item stock lists.
For example you can use the inventory features for:
* Inventory & Warehouse Management
* Attendance tracker & attendance roster: log attendees to a meeting, school, etc.
* Stock taking
* Inventory tracker
* Store inventory and stock managing, handle your warehouse
* Catalog your Collectibles. Build a movies collection, DVD collection, music, etc

3) WIFI terminal scanner feature: XSCANPET is also a WIFI Scanner (WIFI terminal): Use this if you need to scan the bar code directly into a document on your PC. This means the phone will read the barcode and will send it through WIFI to your PC. It will be a WIFI terminal
4) You can also backup your inventory to Dropbox and Google Drive (also you can share the inventory with other users through Dropbox and Google Drive)
XSCANPET uses Excel files as databases. So you won't need to import or export your data. You can even use any other Excel editor to make hot changes on the file. XSCANPET will recognize these changes automatically. No need to reimport.

I use this app for a lot of things. you are limited by your imagination. If you can fit it on a spreadsheet, you can use it on Scanpet. Five stars for me.

Amazing one time payment system + family share . Thank you. Btw yes the app is best in reading / maintaining barcodes . Best tool I use for managing applications (boxes) sent to secure warehouse using excel sheet.

Ive done inventory audits on thousands of peices of hardware and without a good solution thats paid for i had to find my own way and this made my life super easy. got the data for each item emailed it to myself and put it in the company system......great little tool fir any small company or do it yourselfer

Love the app. Only problem is no specified decimal delimiter, so the requires a , in stead of an . for decimal seperation that differ from my excel. Maybe I just could not find it but it continuously show me that the . decimal notation is wrong

I used the app in the past, and now I want to use it again. But I can't see the files on my gdrive. Is there a special setting to sync with gdrive? I want to download the base file from gdrive and work with it on the phone. Tks

This app is confusing it's not user-friendly. Very little documentation need a better and more thorough video then the one that's currently up. An app this size it should not require a large learning curve. It could be better constructed and laid out.

Awesome App ! It deserves a 5 for how much you can do with it. Just know that it takes quite a bit studying and experimenting to figure out how it works and learn all the tricks. So it may not be great for everyone.

Review Update After Three Years Of Use: I implemented XscanPet into our company as a trial on stock control. Using tablets, Bluetooth scanners and a simple labeling system it is now a necessity across all three SEPARATE locations involving £70,000+ of stock. Coupled with DropSync and DropBox they all update each other minute to minute. With desktop shortcuts to the shared file in DropBox the office and sales managers have access to an immediate and accurate stock list. Needless to say, i can't praise it enough

This app works fantastically well. It is very fast with data lookups in the spreadsheet. Extensive options allow you to configure it for your specific application. I also sent several requests to Support and received prompt responses which were helpful. Highly recommend this app. Thanks, Ralph.

technical support is very responsive. i would like to personally thank the developer of this app. super feature rich, it really helps my tasks more easier and organized. i would say it is a must have app., esp. to those technically inclined and would want your process more automated and organized.

xScanPet is a comprehensive application that uses Android mobile phones to scan barcodes and enter the information into excel type spreadsheets. My natural instinct was to try to run the app without "reading the instructions", but because of its comprehensive nature, viewing the instruction videos to get you on your way is necessary. In fact, I had to go through the videos several times before "getting the hang" of the app. The reason it takes some effort to understand xScanPet is that it is capable of executing a range of tasks, but in the end I am glad of putting in the effort. Technical support via email is prompt. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
