This app totally sucks. After a camera alert happens, the app keeps popping up notifications on my phone over and over and over again, even though I have already clicked on the first notification and seen the camera clip for the notification. After up to a day or two and 20 to 30 notifications and clicking on them, they just again link me to the same camera footage notification in the app. The cameras already have terrible "human detection" software. Even with sensitivity set to low and the watched area in the camera set to a small specific area where a person might walk, it gives tons of alerts that are just rain, dust, snow, or a cat (not a person). And the newest version of the app is full of obtrusive annoying ads to try to get you to subscribe to their online service and I don't see any way to disable them. I wish I had never bought kami cameras.

Pop-ups on screen trying to get you to upgrade to more expensive paid version, even when already using a paid version. These intrusive pop-ups cannot be closed. Settings change themselves. No desktop access. App crashes every time I try to view saved footage. That's all I intended to use it for, so it is practically useless. Absolutely do not pay for Kami cloud services, total waste of money, pretty much a scam.

Junk. Camera only records a quarter of the time. Got it set for motion detection and unless you are as slow as a turtle, it ain't gonna record. The app NEVER lets me know that I have movement until I actually GET ON the app! You have to pay a monthly fee for it to save the activity and it's on THEIR cloud service, not yours. You get what you pay for folks. Truly just an all around terrible product.

I don't usually rate companies, specifically if nothing is possible, but with this company, I have to let people know how bad it is. To start, they charge you any subscription the full year at front, and if you don't like it, have to cancel within the first 30 days, and if you don't cancel, forget about. The cheapest plan is $99 per year, and it only records for seconds. The video does not look clear. the must of the camaras are not compatible. If you ask to change it havenothing on inventory

I would give this a negative star score if possible. The app is very basic but was usable. With the new version I get random ads before I can even enter and see the alert. For this reason alone I will be replacing the camera. As for the camera, yes there is an SD slot that can be used to record video. Unfortunately this no longer works on this camera. So my only choice if I want to capture an event is to subscribe to their cloud service. I cannot recommend this product regardless of price

Now there is f ing pop up adds, are you serious!!!! When I try to see my cameras on the phone app I'm interrupted by these pop up ads and now have to exit just to get access to view my cameras!!! What an inconvenience when I'm trying to access my cameras quickly!!! Update feb 26 2024: These pop up adds are still horrible! When an emergency and trying to access the cameras these pop up adds appear and take 10-20 secs!!!! Aren't cameras supposed to detect any potential danger QUICK!!

The recently introduced ads are the downfall of this app. This goes along with a paid product (camera, baby monitor, etc) and a subscription, but recently ads were intoduced, that are not only unskippable, but also highly irrelevant as well. This one downfall makes an entire app that was fairly useable and reliable into a complete chatoic mess.

I paid for the cameras.. I don't want your extra services I have an SD card and have the service I want.. you have tried pushimg your services on me at every turn... and yet now you put full screen ads on app startup.. horrible.. On that note the video is not very good, the audio sync is not good.. I am really starting to look for other camera options..

Used to work well, have used their cameras and the app for years, have bought a lot of their cameras. Now, it is garbage, always trying to up sell you, and after the most recent update, they have added ads! Edit: to respond to the developer, no, I don't want a discount on an ad free plan. I want to use the products I paid for without having to constantly be up-sold when I open the app to check my cameras.

DONT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!! App is trash! The camera never loads on the app whether it's via wifi or cell data. What's the point of having a camera of the app doesn't work?! UPDATE: have tried everything to make this app connect to the camera with more reliability, nothing works to improve the speed or frequency of the app and how it connects to the camera. It even refuses to connect all together if my laptop and playstation are both turned on. Pathetic!

I never review things, but had to for this terrible app and racket of a company. It's basically a non-functional app unless you buy the Cloud service. Should be able to use the app to view the camera THAT YOU ALREADY BOUGHT and utilize the SD card storage functions, but that doesn't actually work. Tried multiple SD cards without luck. Finally caved and bought the Cloud service for 1 month, and SURPRISE, everything on the app instantly works. Cancelled for the next month, and stops working.

1) (NEW PROBLEM) Unskippable full-screen ads when launching the app, preventing you from checking your cameras if something urgent is happening. 2) Constantly changes my camera settings to save events from SD card to cloud account. I don't want or have a cloud account, which means my cameras are recording nothing. It does this without asking or notification. 3) App very frequently can't connect to cameras. (SUMMARY) This product is one step up from e-waste.

I have had this camera for a few years & loved them until it stopped recording & started having ads. When I use the record button within the app, ot either crashes or records without sound. Now I am getting a pop up ad for Temu every time I open the app. They are good cameras, but unfortunately, they are worthless with an inefficient app. Instead of upgrading the camera, I will now look for another brand.

My husband and I have been using the kami for over a year as a baby monitor for our nursery. It worked great and we used it all the time all day to check in on her. The latest update makes it harder to use and it's not as user friendly as before. It seems to take longer to load, and more errors while loading. I can't play back on a full screen, which I was able to do before. And for whatever reason it takes 2 taps to make it full screen, when it was just one previously. The app was great before

No support. On going problems with alerts. This system is not reliable enough for security monitoring. AND. If you chose to use SD card all the updates only to force you to subscribe to cloud service and if you don't for two or so years the SD slot stops working properly missed videos or no recordings at all some times. Please do not buy unless you just like throwing garbage in a landfill.

Batteries die in a ridiculously short time even with minimum record time and notifications turned off. Snf you do use notifications ya get maybe on 1 or of 10 you should get. I have 600+mbps wifi and still get a lot of lag. Overall, I do not recommend them. Would not buy again. Update: they are impossible to get a hold of on phone. They ain't let you just Caney online during a "free trial " got charged 80 dollars plus tax and no refund. They will credit it towards the cloud service canceled

The update this morning has broken the shared camera function again. The shared camera access function was broken for months (the camera connection is abnormal error), and was only restored earlier this week and now It's unusable again? VERY frustrating. It makes an otherwise excellent camera/app worthless if I can't access all the cameras I need to monitor.

For 45 day trail period was very good. Lots of features, good quality pics, videos Then times up your offline, camera doesn't want to connect. Unplug to reset and get message "Update for new features". Camera firmware updates and now going throw seeing up as a new camera; because of no longer exists, can't get the camera to pair. Keeps timing out!

I paid the yearly subscription and all cameras were working fine. Now there is another subscription for 24/7 monitoring? And of course, less recordings is happening to make me subscribe that nonsense. Remove the popup banner for paid customers. How do you expect me to read your stupid advertisement when I am trying to see what's happening on my property. Definitely not going to renew. With every update the app runs slower. Stop adding extra features, they are not needed. Fix the basic features.

Did a yearly subscription then they switched on me and switched me to a monthly plan and continue to charge me monthly on top of the yearly plan I purchased. updated the firmware and my cameras will not work. Customer service sucks and takes days to get a response. There is no customer service number. Poorly ran service. Don't waste your time or money.
